My daughter and I took a whirlwind 24-hour trip to Hakodate. Even with limited time to spend at the Hotel, we enjoyed wonderful meals, an Onsen, and a Room with an amazing location. It was a truly lovely Hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style, with a wide variety of options—everything was delicious, and we ended up eating far too much. We used the large public bath, and the view from the open-air bath in the morning was incredible. Since we checked in after sunset, it was pitch-dark outside when we arrived, but once daylight came, the view from the window took our breath away. As far as the eye could see was ocean—an unforgettable sight for someone who doesn’t live near the sea. The staff included many young people and international team members, and everyone treated us sincerely and with warm smiles, making our stay truly comfortable. The only disappointment was that our stay was far too short. Hakodate is quite far for us so we can’t visit often, but next time we’d like to stay at least two nights.

You can see the ocean from the Hotel Room, and if you walk a little way down the slope, the sea is right in front of you—perfect for picking up a coffee at a convenience store and relaxing on the beach. Dinner was plentiful, featuring simmered golden eye snapper (a bit sweet for our taste), spiny lobster, abalone, and more. It was also nice that we could use a voucher to choose items such as tempura, seared bonito, or dessert. There was an Onsen as well as an open-air bath, and we enjoyed them many times. Breakfast was buffet-style; the freshly grilled dried horse mackerel was especially delicious. They also had organic coffee, which we enjoyed. Thanks to the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail, our stay was very comfortable.

On the recommendation of an acquaintance who lives in Ibusuki, I stayed here in March and April this year. What stands out most about Ginsho is the delicious food! In addition to fresh local sashimi, the freshly fried Satsuma-age was exceptional. The seasoning was not too strong, and the portions were just right. The Onsen water quality was also excellent. I was able to relax and unwind.\n\nThe friendly and wonderful proprietress, whose warm personality truly shows in her smile, took great care of me. All of the staff were kind and provided very pleasant service. I will visit again soon. Thank you very much for everything!

Because it was a three-day weekend right at the start of summer vacation, it ended up a little over our original budget—but we wanted to stay here so badly that we made the Reservation anyway. And once we actually stayed… it was worth every yen—no, even more than that. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was even better than expected: right in front of us were white sand and a blue sea. There were quite a few families and international guests, but at night it was very quiet. You can head straight to the beach from the Hotel, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—dedicated beach sandals, a washing machine, towels, and more. I also really appreciated that when you take off your slippers there, you can place them neatly into a shoe box labeled with your Room name—something I found especially reassuring as someone who’s a bit particular about cleanliness. The Room was truly spacious, spotless, and very functional. Everything felt refined from corner to corner—the washbasin, furnishings, wall colors, decorations—all beautifully coordinated and calming. A small detail, but the loungewear fabric was very soft and had buttons so it stayed in place comfortably. The semi-open-air bath in the guest room had excellent water quality and temperature. Being able to soak slowly while looking out at the ocean—with no insects flying around—was pure bliss. We enjoyed our in-room meals while chatting pleasantly with our attendant; everything was delicious. The simmered whole kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was especially impressive—large and full of flavor—truly “this is Izu!” That said, personally I would have preferred beef as steak (even a small portion) rather than chilled shabu-shabu wrapped with vegetables. If many guests are older adults, it would be great if there were an option available even with an additional charge. Breakfast included many dishes as well—I ended up eating quite a lot first thing in the morning! Overall this Accommodation deserves high marks across the board; if I had to be strictly critical, dinner alone could have felt slightly more luxurious or surprising—something that makes you think “This is exceptional—I’ve never tasted anything like it.” Even so, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that I absolutely want to return again next year. We visited as a couple to relax and enjoy the Onsen at a leisurely pace. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the station to the Accommodation. You can request pick-up, but we chose to walk and soak in the atmosphere. The Room was spacious enough for two, and you can enjoy views including the sea through the large window. The in-room Onsen bath was more than sufficient, but we also reserved a private bath so we could have a large Onsen all to ourselves. It happened to be firefly-viewing season, so we enjoyed it with Shuttle Service included. The meals were incredibly delicious—an extensive menu centered on seafood, vegetables, and mountain produce. The sashimi was outstanding, and breakfast deserves special mention: miso soup made with broth from the spiny lobster shells from dinner and black rice were exceptional. This is a small Accommodation with attentive staff—perfect for enjoying the Onsen, nearby walks, and great food. We had a truly luxurious one-night stay. P.S. For those considering staying: due to structural reasons, loud noises in neighboring Rooms can be heard, and any loud noise you make will likely carry as well. If that doesn’t bother you, you’ll be able to enjoy a relaxing stay in a quiet environment away from tourist areas with few people around.

I was in Fukuoka with my daughters, and each of us had our own plans. We searched for a place where the three of us could stay together, with free parking and reasonable rates, and decided on Vessel Fukuoka Kaizuka. We really appreciated their hospitality. My daughters were happy and said it was the best Business Hotel they’ve stayed at so far. The Room was clean. Plenty of power outlets. A separate washbasin area apart from the bath/toilet. You can see outside through the window. A good selection of amenities. Two trash bins. Shoes-off indoors. They were really excited about all of that.

The website highlighted the dining, and indeed both dinner and breakfast were as beautiful and delicious as expected. The service was attentive, making our stay very comfortable. The view from the terrace is well worth seeing, so don’t miss it.

We stayed with our dog. It was our first time here, and we were so satisfied that we made a Reservation for next year during our stay. There is no Onsen, but the Room was spacious and very clean. The sukiyaki dinner on the first night was outstanding, and it was a new way of eating it for us. We stayed two nights, and we were truly impressed that on the second night not only the main dish but everything from the appetizers onward was a completely different menu. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. We look forward to coming back next year.

We took our first family trip to Awaji Island to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. We chose this Accommodation because we love Onsen, and above all, we were drawn to the name “Senshin Waho.” After staying here, it truly became a place we thought, “We absolutely want to come back the next time we visit Awaji Island.” When we arrived, the staff kindly carried our luggage from the car. While listening to the soothing sound of wind chimes, we were served blended tea, and orange juice for our child. Just as we had seen in Reviews, everyone’s hospitality was outstanding. My husband was delighted and said it was “the best Accommodation I’ve ever stayed at,” which made me happy too. Our Room had a beautiful ocean view. Simply watching the sea made all our everyday fatigue melt away. Dinner featured many dishes that truly captured Awaji Island, and everything was delicious. Since it was my husband’s birthday, they even prepared a celebration plate for him. Thank you so much for that and for all your warm thoughtfulness. And then the Onsen we had been looking forward to: a rare free-flowing natural hot spring on Awaji Island. There was chlorination and heating, but no added water. There was no noticeable chlorine smell, and the water felt soft and gentle on the skin. The amenities were also from SYMPURTE—one of my favorites. The large public bath even had hair oil available, and their original shampoo/conditioner as well as face & body soap had a pleasant aroma that didn’t overpower the Onsen atmosphere. They provided slippers and yukata for our child, and at meals they arranged seating in a tatami room rather than at the counter. They also noticed that I’m left-handed, and even at breakfast the next morning they quietly accommodated me with thoughtful attention. Every detail of their care meant so much—it really showed how closely the staff pay attention to each guest. Onsen quality, amenities, service, cleanliness, meals—everything exceeded our expectations. The beach just a short walk from the Accommodation was wonderful too: not crowded at all. We collected sea glass with our child and watched the sunset—those simple moments became cherished memories of our trip. The baths were never crowded either; most of the time there were only one or two people there besides us, so we could relax comfortably. This is an Accommodation that makes us want not only to return to Awaji Island again—but specifically to stay at Senshin Waho again. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed at various Vacation Villages, but Retreat Azumino Hotel was completely different from any of them! This Hotel is too good to enjoy in just one night. It made me want a Multiple Night Stay. It’s quiet, spotless, and I have nothing to complain about.

We were happy to see the energetic Hokkaido dogs again—Miyon, Dan, and Dolly! This Accommodation was satisfying in every way, from the Onsen to the meals, and they even moved our “repeat guest” plaque to our 8th car. Thank you to all the staff for your consistently warm and attentive hospitality.

When we were taking photos at the Hotel entrance, a staff member kindly approached us in a natural way and offered to take our picture, which made us feel truly welcomed. I was traveling alone with two children, so I was a bit anxious, but thanks to the staff’s kindness and the wonderful Hotel and pool, my children had an amazing time. The food was also delicious. We had such a great stay that we would love to come back again.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our stay. As it was just after the reopening, the Facility felt brand new, and we were able to spend our time comfortably in a clean environment. In the large public bath, the scent of wood instantly helped us unwind, and the ocean view through the full-height windows was breathtaking. Even though we were on the east side of the Boso Peninsula, we were surprised to be able to see the sun setting—and it was so beautiful that we couldn’t take our eyes off it. It truly deserves its place among “Japan’s 100 Best Accommodations with Sunset Views.” The rooftop open-air bath we used before bed was softly lit with indirect lighting and had a calm atmosphere. Soaking while listening to the sound of water flowing into the tub made all our everyday fatigue melt away, and we could relax from the bottom of our hearts. It was a wonderfully soothing moment. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The new dining venue had a Japanese-inspired design, creating a lovely atmosphere and a comfortable space. Dinner was served half-buffet style. We were first served sashimi, beautifully presented with an impressively fresh taste. We were also surprised to be served abalone and splendid alfonsino (kinmedai). The abalone remained tender even when grilled, and the kinmedai had an elegant flavor. The buffet also featured an excellent live kitchen: tempura was freshly fried, and there was even Kazusa beef steak. Both were tender, making for a highly satisfying dinner. Breakfast was also buffet-style, and we were amazed by how extensive the selection was. In addition to standard items like salads, there were also sashimi and overnight-dried fish. The turban shell curry (sazae curry) left a lasting impression with its rich flavor, and the nikujaga comforted us with its gentle taste. At the live kitchen they made omelets for us—large portions with great volume—another very satisfying dish. Our Room was spacious and spotless. Above all, through wall-to-wall glass windows stretching across one entire side of the Room, there was nothing but ocean—so much so that we found ourselves sitting in chairs simply gazing outside for quite some time. Fireworks were launched from right in front of us at the fishing port as well—it was incredibly powerful up close. We had never seen fireworks from such close range before, making it an unforgettable experience. And most impressive of all was truly the service provided by your staff. We felt thoughtful attention everywhere throughout our stay; their hospitality was consistently attentive. It made for an extremely comfortable visit—a day we were completely satisfied with. When we visit Kamogawa again, we would love to stay here again.

We stayed for two nights. There were four adults in one Room (Garden Twin), but even with four beds it didn’t feel cramped, and we were able to relax comfortably. Since it was a family trip, the spacious open closet was also great for preventing forgotten items. Each bed had its own power outlets, which was extremely convenient. We expected a garden-side Room, but we could also see the ocean from the balcony, which was wonderful. I also personally liked that you can choose only the services you need at check-in. Since I usually carry a water bottle, I really appreciated the water dispenser service available in the Hotel. We were able to enjoy plenty of delicious water. It would have been nice if the provided pitcher were a bit larger, but there were two so it wasn’t inconvenient. They were acrylic, so there was no worry about breaking when carrying them around, and they looked stylish as well. It was also fun to boil water in the cute De’Longhi thermos kettle and enjoy tea. As is common at many Resort Hotels these days, the pajamas here were very comfortable and helped me sleep soundly. A small detail, but both the Room trash bin and the bathroom trash bin had liners properly fitted, which made them easy to use. Breakfast around 8:00 was slightly crowded and there was some waiting time, but once we were seated we could relax at ease. We chose Western-style breakfast on day one and Japanese-style on day two; both were delicious and very filling. For dinner we chose BBQ, and on the second night they changed up the ingredients so we could enjoy something different. The carefully selected seafood and meat were all delicious, and there was more than enough food including rice and dessert. On the second night it felt like we had a private setting, and we truly appreciated all of the staff’s help. There is also a large public bath; it wasn’t an Onsen, but it was clean and relaxing, so we were satisfied. All of the staff members were pleasant as well—they spoke to us thoughtfully when needed without being intrusive—so we had a very comfortable stay. The Facility offerings and services felt just right—not too much or too little—and it felt like a Hotel where you can relax at your own pace. It rained on our first day, but early on our second morning there was sunshower weather and we got to see a rainbow. We’d love to come back in another season to enjoy both morning and evening ocean views again.

We stayed with our child, and the Accommodation had thoughtfully prepared many items such as barley tea for children, bibs, toys, and a dedicated diaper bin, which made our stay very comfortable. Everyone was kind and truly hospitable. We also received a letter from the dining staff, which made this trip especially heartwarming. We would love to stay again.

I was very satisfied with the Hotel’s Facility, the staff service, and the dining options. In particular, the daily replenishment of drinks in the guest room, the spacious and comfortable large public bath, and the fireworks viewing area were excellent. However, the price was a little high. The only drawback was that the parking lot was a bit far away. I would definitely like to stay here again next time.

I stayed here to visit Akiyoshido Cave and the Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau. It was a very fine Hotel, the Room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Yuda Onsen has an abundant supply of hot water, and the baths were excellent. A staff member near the front desk told me about highlights around Yuda Onsen, so I visited the Nakahara Chuya Memorial Museum, Rurikoji Temple, and Yamaguchi Xavier Memorial Church. Since it was Sunday, hymns could be heard and it felt very solemn; the temple also had an impressive five-story pagoda. It’s a compact town, but it was interesting and perfect for half a day of sightseeing. As for the Accommodation itself, it did feel slightly aged in places, but the meals were luxurious and the fugu sashimi was delicious. There may have been a few too many dishes overall—I was already quite full by the time I got to items like fried ayu. Personally, I felt ayu wasn’t really necessary. Also, I would have appreciated complimentary mineral water as an amenity; most Accommodations offer it these days, so I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t any. The footbath next to the Accommodation had also dried up—whether due to water shortages or energy saving measures, it felt a little sad. In any case, thank you very much for your hospitality. Overall I had a very positive impression, though personally I would have preferred slightly lighter meals. The Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau offers truly one-of-a-kind panoramic views that I’d love to see again, so I may return in the future—thank you in advance when that time comes.

I had reserved a triple room, but one of my companions wasn’t feeling well, and you kindly changed it to a twin and a single. I truly appreciated your support. What’s more, the rate stayed the same—I couldn’t believe it. Thank you very much. I also enjoyed the bath both at night and in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and therefore crowded, but we could check our place in line online, so it wasn’t any hassle. In Otaru, Dormy Inn is the best choice.

I think it’s wonderful that you improved based on the previous Review, and the Wi‑Fi worked perfectly even in the basement. The meals had also improved. I was touched by the surprise birthday gift. I’d like to visit again for a special occasion. It was a shame that the bath water temperature was on the low side and took quite a while to warm up.

My mother and I stayed for two nights. We chose the Premium “Kiwami” course, and the dishes were completely different on both days—every single one was incredibly delicious! My favorite was the blackthroat seaperch on the first day. It was wonderfully rich, and the salt seasoning was absolutely perfect. The sukiyaki seasoning was also spot-on—I wanted seconds. On the second day, I was blown away by the simmered sea bream head and the miso-glazed round eggplant. They suited my taste so well that I honestly wished I could eat 100 of each! Breakfast was excellent on both mornings as well. The first day’s clam miso soup especially impressed me—my mother loved it so much she finished it all at once, which is rare for her. Even after we got home, she kept saying how delicious it was. On the second morning there was a Western-style breakfast plate, and the omelet in particular was outstanding. When I was little, I once had an omelet at Exiv Toba that amazed me, and since then I hadn’t found one that surpassed it—until now. The moment I took a bite, a gentle buttery aroma came through, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced. It suited my taste so much that I saved half for last because I didn’t want it to end. I only wished it were bigger. Finally, thank you to all of the staff for your kind and attentive service. This became a wonderful travel memory for us. We’d love to enjoy your cuisine again, so we hope to visit in a different season next time! Thank you very much for everything—we look forward to staying with you again.
