Because the neighboring apartment building looks directly into the room, you have to keep the shades closed at all times. The room lighting is also dim, which makes it feel gloomy. There is no affiliated parking, which is inconvenient. It’s also a bit far from the convenience store. The staff and breakfast were excellent, so this place has the potential to be much better.

There was a strong body odor left in the room, possibly from a previous guest, and even after ventilating for several hours with the windows open, it did not go away. Other than that, I was very satisfied and had no issues even without a toilet or shower in the room—it was very pleasant.

I stayed for one night without meals. The staff at the reception were kind and attentive, which was great. It was helpful that I could stay with my dog. Thank you very much!

Despite our repeated mistakes such as locking the key inside or leaving items behind, the staff provided extremely courteous assistance, which was very helpful. The Facility had no particular issues, so I would definitely like to use it again next time.

We stayed as a family. The property has been beautifully renovated, well-maintained, and we had a very comfortable stay. We would love to visit again.

Check-in was smooth, and the Hotel staff were kind. The parking staff were also very courteous, and when we checked out, the cleaning staff were on the same floor and greeted us with a smile—excellent service. The Room was quiet despite being right near the downtown area, and it was spacious and clean. It also had plenty of amenities and appliances, so we had a very comfortable stay. You can’t use the elevator without tapping your key, so it felt very secure. It may not be a Hotel in name, but I was more satisfied than with many Hotels. Thank you!

Pros: Great location for sightseeing, free parking, spacious Room, the air conditioning was turned on to match our check-in time, clean bathroom, and the steel-framed windows looked stylish. Cons: The light switches were hard to find, the refrigerator didn’t cool very well, the check-in process was confusing, and the bed was on the firm side. We could hear voices and snoring from other Rooms, but once we fell asleep it didn’t bother us. Since we brought bicycles, it wasn’t an issue that the convenience store was a bit far. It had a different vibe from a typical Hotel—fresh and comfortable to stay in.

Satisfied with the clean accommodation! I stayed in a twin room, and although I could hear some noise from the boiler or ventilation fan, it didn’t bother me while sleeping. However, I bumped my foot on the wooden frame of the bed several times (especially on the bed near the door), so it would be great if this could be improved. I would use this accommodation again if I have the chance!

There weren’t many Reviews, and it was a bit hard to find on the map, but if you’re just looking for a place to sleep after enjoying Minato Mirai and Chinatown, this was a great-value Room thanks to its proximity to Chinatown. It had all the essentials, and I stayed comfortably without any inconvenience. However, you can hear voices from the neighboring Room. Still, for this price, I think it’s totally worth it.

After arrival, we were shown to our Room without much guidance. It was a clean and spacious Room. Since this is temple lodging, the Rooms are only separated by sliding doors, so you can hear voices and other sounds clearly. Dinner was carefully prepared and very enjoyable. The rice was exceptionally delicious—better than anything I’ve had in quite a while. I usually hold back, but I finished everything (lol). The next morning I had plans and made a Reservation without breakfast, but I was asked about breakfast; when I said it wasn’t included in my Reservation, it was still recommended to me, which left me a little unsure (the rice really was that good… lol). The service was very polite throughout. Thank you for taking care of us.

The Room was spacious, clean, and equipped with air conditioning! There is no Onsen at the Accommodation, but there is an Onsen nearby, and we were grateful to be able to purchase tickets for Otaki-no-Yu at 20% off. It seems you can also purchase tickets for Goza-no-Yu and Sai-no-Kawara Open-Air Bath at 20% off. They also stored our luggage even after check-out.

We enjoyed a lot at the Hotel, playing mini-golf and swimming in the pool. If we had more time, it seemed fun to take the lift to enjoy the scenery and go hiking. I thought it was a good Hotel to stay with children and spend time leisurely. The bath was also nice, and the buffet restaurant was delicious and good.

The ocean view and service were excellent, but for a Hotel of this class, the lack of amenities in the Room and the use of a very cheap hairdryer left a poor impression.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. However, it was unpleasant that the reception area was very crowded. There was no guidance for the line, which was a bit frustrating. Regarding the sauna, the mats were not clean, so it would be more comfortable if measures could be taken. It was also a little disappointing that the cold plunge pool was warm. If your group promotes its spa and sauna facilities as a key feature, I would appreciate improvements.

It was my first time in Kyoto. The accommodation was just as I had imagined and admired. I was able to relax. The light from the skylight was pleasant. It was unfortunate that there was a water leak from the base of the showerhead.

I often visit the nearby shops, so I’d been curious about this place for a while and decided to stay. It’s set slightly back from the main street, but the attached bakery is delicious, and there are many great restaurants nearby, making it a very convenient location. The interior has a modern Japanese style, and the solid wood flooring feels great even barefoot. The standout feature is the large hinoki bath. Even tall guests can stretch their legs out comfortably, and the scent of hinoki is very relaxing. It’s rare to find such a large hinoki bath even at other Hotels. The tub can also be filled automatically, which was fantastic. All Facilities are up to date, and there was nothing inconvenient compared with staying at a Hotel. Since this is a renovated property with traditional-sized beams, guests over 180 cm may bump their head, so please be careful—it’s annoying at first but you get used to it. There are some downsides—like the TV being hard to figure out and the stairs being steep—but the biggest thing to note is that because this Facility shares space with shops, you can hear more noise than expected from early morning as the bakery prepares for opening. During the day as well, you can clearly hear customers and probably children of people eating in. From the large opening at the back of the second floor and from the rear garden area, you can also smell bread coming in from the bakery. Whether this feels noisy or adds to its machiya character may depend on personal preference. There were moments when it didn’t feel very calm, but overall it was a good experience.
