We stayed in the West Wing with my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and our family—6 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs. Everyone was thrilled, and it became a wonderful travel memory. As we were celebrating a special occasion, we asked for balloon decorations and to purchase fireworks. For meals, we hired a private chef. Inamuragasaki holds many memories for us. With the ocean right in front of us—and no power lines visible from inside—it was truly a special location. Since the kids are still small, they were overjoyed to use the rooftop jacuzzi like a pool instead of going into the sea. The adults could watch them safely and relax while enjoying the ocean view in complete comfort. The food was also excellent—hiring a private chef was absolutely the right choice. We also got to try out karaoke that you’re considering introducing as a service. Our child who loves singing was delighted and held onto the microphone nonstop. At night we enjoyed fireworks and made so many great memories with the kids. Everything was prepared in such a comfortable setting—easy for adults and fun for children. Our surfer family members even went into the ocean twice. It truly was an amazing place. We highly recommend it for family trips. We will definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay. The property feels relatively new, so it was clean, and the bathroom and other facilities were compact, easy to use, and very satisfying. Also, this time the Room had a toilet separate from the washroom, which was convenient. Thank you very much. As a suggestion, the extra bed felt quite narrow, so I would prefer a standard single-bed width. I also think it would be even more convenient if there were a mirror at the desk. (The bed width is listed on your website in advance, so this is simply a request.) I would appreciate it if you could consider these points in the future.

Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. We were thrilled to stay for the first time in a Japanese-style room with a jacuzzi, which is usually very hard to secure a Reservation, and my cousin and I were overjoyed. We could also admire the Mid-Autumn full moon through the large open picture window at the front—it was an unforgettable, moving moment. Throughout the property, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches everywhere: simple arrangements of wildflowers and fine pieces on display that we could enjoy as we walked to the restaurant and public bath. The moon-viewing décor in the lobby lounge, as well as the magnificent folding screen and large floral arrangement at the entrance, were all wonderful. Next time, I would love to visit with my husband and family, including my son and his wife. Thank you very much.

A luxurious Facility where extraordinary koi swim. We were able to enjoy a sand bath, a ceramic bath experience, and a private open-air bath at no additional charge. All staff were kind and provided attentive service. The Japanese cuisine served at the Yakusugi cedar counter was exquisite, with tropical fruits used throughout that were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious. The entire property was spotless and impeccably maintained, and the star-filled sky we gazed at late at night from the free-flowing natural hot spring open-air bath in our room was beyond words.

Unfortunately, it was pouring rain on the day of our stay, but we were happy that you welcomed us with umbrellas upon arrival. We thought the ocean view from the Room must be beautiful on a clear day. There were several types of Onsen, and we enjoyed them privately, which was great. The meals were also delicious, and we would love to visit again in a different season. We came with high expectations, and this Accommodation exceeded them even more than we imagined. We’ll be back!

From the welcoming staff to the front desk team, Room guidance, and dining staff, everyone was courteous and made us feel truly comfortable. The Room was clean, and both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very relaxing. Each dish was beautifully prepared—from seasoning to presentation—and everything was delicious. Thank you for giving us such a soothing time on this trip with friends. Next time, we would love to visit again with our family.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days to celebrate my partner’s birthday trip. When I contacted you in advance to ask about arranging a surprise, you kindly replied and supported us on the day as well, for which we are truly grateful. The message on the whole cake was beautifully done, the surprise was a great success, and my partner was absolutely delighted—thank you so much. The rental car was even cuter than it looked on your website, and exploring the island with it was so much fun. The room atmosphere, the breakfast and dinner meals, everyone’s hospitality, and nearby Kuura Beach—everything felt like a perfect vacation. It was our first trip to Miyakojima, and we were able to spend such a relaxing and wonderful time. Finally, when you drove us to the airport, we were deeply moved when everyone—including the kitchen staff—came out to see us off. Thank you very much for an amazing three days.

A calm Accommodation in a quiet, secluded area with hardly any traffic noise, where you can truly feel time pass peacefully. The meals weren’t overly large and the number of dishes was modest, but each one was carefully prepared and delicious. It was an adult-oriented Accommodation where you can genuinely relax and unwind.

This hotel truly embodies exceptional hospitality. The service is attentive, courteous, and thoughtful—and the same goes for the dining. Not only are the flavors and ingredients outstanding, but it’s rare to encounter cuisine prepared with this level of care. I also loved the comfortable room, the hot stone spa, and the atmospheric semi-open-air bath. At all times, you can enjoy a pleasantly private space as well. By the way, on long drives the windshield tends to get dirty and obstruct your view, and although it bothers you, you often end up leaving it (maybe it’s just me?). I was impressed time and again by thoughtful touches like having it quietly wiped clean before departure. So-called “popular inns” often raise expectations too high before your stay, so in reality they can be disappointing more often than not. However, this was a rare hotel that made me want to visit with the stay itself as the purpose of my trip.

We had a truly wonderful stay. We stayed for two nights with our 1-year-old daughter. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was outstanding. They thoughtfully accommodated our child’s meals, taking her egg allergy and the size of the ingredients into consideration, and she was very happy. The staff also looked after her throughout, so we could enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The Room has special touches that help you forget the busyness of everyday life. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy an extraordinary experience we don’t usually get to have. We would love to return again next time.

I love traveling solo to Onsen and visit places all over the whole country. I’d heard of Umegashima Onsen, but for some reason it had never been on my list—what a loss, haha. Last month I stayed at Umegashima Onsen for the first time (at a different Accommodation), and it quickly became one of my favorite Onsen. This time as well, it was great that they only accept a small number of guests and offer private reserved baths. That said, I like to soak in the Onsen whenever I want as many times as I like, so I often choose an Accommodation with an in-Room bath or one that’s available 24 hours. Unfortunately, here it was only available until 11:00 p.m. Also, having to ask the staff each time to get the key made me feel hesitant. I wish I could use it more freely without worrying about bothering anyone. The meals were absolutely delicious. The ingredients were different from what I’m used to in the Izu Peninsula or Hakone, which made everything feel very fresh.

It was a wonderful Room with exceptional hospitality. The Room felt very clean, and when the morning sun shines through the turquoise-blue curtains, it creates a dreamy atmosphere. The interior is based on white tones and has great taste. Small items and amenities such as mugs and towels were stylish, and the space—with a coffee maker, toaster, and sofa—was beautifully designed. The complimentary snacks they had prepared were also a thoughtful touch. We booked the breakfast plan, and the ingredients included items from a local bakery, plus high-quality eggs and bacon. There are stylish cafés just a few minutes’ walk away, so it seems you could also enjoy lunch or dinner there. The location is excellent—you can walk straight from the Room to the beach, which is very convenient. They also provide beach sandals, floats, and bodyboards, so as long as you bring your swimsuit you’re all set for activities. A nearby convenience store sells goggles and fishing gear too, so it feels like you could come with almost nothing. After getting out of the ocean, you can go straight to the jacuzzi or the Goemon-style bath (cauldron bath), which was another great convenience. We rented the BBQ equipment; the stylish grill was easy to use, and even though it’s outdoors under a roofed area, it was more comfortable than expected. The bed linens—including sheets and duvet—were clean with crisp freshness, and the mattress was fluffy; we slept very comfortably. The staff provided polite service with quick and efficient responses. Above all else, the view from the Room is outstanding. The color of the sea is beautiful. It was only a one-night stay in this Accommodation, but we regretted not staying two nights—it was that satisfying. I’d love to recommend it to everyone… though part of me wants to keep it secret. To all staff members: thank you for such a wonderful time.

The staff’s attentive hospitality and thoughtful care were truly wonderful, and I was able to spend a very comfortable stay from check-in to check-out. The interior of the property and the room features a calm Japanese-modern design in greige tones, with impeccable taste in decor. It was exactly my kind of style, so I found myself simply gazing around and feeling soothed. The rooftop lounge offered an abundant selection of juices, alcoholic drinks, coffee, Atami’s famous sweets, and light snacks. I couldn’t believe I could choose so freely—can I really have any of these?—and I got genuinely excited. Sipping drinks, enjoying sweets, soaking in the foot bath… it was such a luxurious time taking in the views of Atami. The staff also maintained the perfect level of attentiveness—providing towels to dry our feet and preparing drinks—so considerate in every way. I’m truly grateful. What especially impressed me was the full-course dinner. Each dish was beautifully presented—not only a feast for the eyes—but also had deep flavors with sauces crafted down to the finest detail. I was genuinely moved. Even now, looking back at my photos brings back that lingering feeling: how beautiful it was and how delicious everything tasted. Everything—the room, the meals, and the hospitality—was perfect. It was a place where I could truly refresh from the heart. I feel fully recharged; I’ll do my best day by day and hope to return again someday. Thank you very much.

Everyone at the Ryokan was very attentive and provided excellent service, so I felt completely at ease during my stay. The meals were also kaiseki cuisine, and both dinner and breakfast were filling—I was very satisfied. The indoor bath also had a wonderful atmosphere and was great. I would love to visit again. From the moment I arrive, I’m always deeply moved by the warm hospitality of being greeted by name. Check-in is extremely smooth, and I always love the guidance to my room and the kind, welcoming service from the bell staff. My requests made in advance were fully accommodated, and everything about the room setup and housekeeping was flawless down to every detail, allowing me to stay comfortable throughout my visit. I’m always grateful to the housekeeping team. The spa reception staff also provided wonderful service, and the concierge team’s quick and polished support was a great help. The limited-time Shine Muscat roll cake I had at the pastry shop “Sweets & Deli” was exceptional and became a delicious memory that stayed with me. I also enjoyed spending time at the lobby lounge and would definitely like to return again. Everything is truly perfect—this is a wonderful hotel that leaves me completely satisfied from the bottom of my heart. I would confidently recommend it to my loved ones, and I will definitely stay here again.

We were blessed with wonderful weather and arrived early, but we were shown to our room right away. After strolling around Kitamuki Kannon Hall, Anraku-ji Temple, and Joraku-ji Temple, we came back and headed straight for the baths. We used the 7th-floor bath in the evening and again in the morning; since it alternates between men and women morning/evening, both times felt completely private. We especially enjoyed the spectacular views from the open-air bath and the sauna. The water is silky-smooth and leaves your skin feeling wonderfully soft. Before checking out, we also enjoyed the private indoor bath in our room. We had a chance to see both rooms; although their layouts were completely different, both were spacious, with comfortable beds and excellent in-room baths. And then there was dinner—the highlight of our stay. This year’s matsutake harvest was abundant, and we were served an incredible variety and quantity of matsutake dishes unlike anything we’ve ever had before. Everything was outstandingly delicious—we were truly moved. The couple we invited was also amazed far beyond their expectations. When we asked our attendant, she told us that even in poor harvest years, thanks to 300 years of tradition and long-standing relationships, they can still secure plenty of matsutake even when they don’t appear on the market. The proprietress—often mentioned in reviews—was just as wonderful as everyone says. It all made sense: you can feel how her thoughtfulness naturally carries through to every member of staff. Since retiring, we travel almost every month, but this is the first ryokan that has impressed us so deeply. We would love to return at this time next year with the same group to enjoy matsutake again. Thank you very much.

The bath, the room, the sauna, the food, and all of the staff were outstanding. The goats were incredibly cute and so relaxing! My daughter was totally absorbed in feeding them and said on the way home that she definitely wants to stay again! We plan to visit again if we have the chance!

We stayed here over Silver Week to celebrate a birthday. As this inn is known for its cuisine, we were most looking forward to the meals—and everything from start to finish was absolutely delicious. We booked the simmered golden eye snapper (Kinmedai) course because we really wanted to try it, and I highly recommend it at least once. The chef’s special desserts were also wonderful. There was a great selection of local sake as well. I didn’t have much of an image of Shizuoka sake before, but we enjoyed trying different ones by the single serving. The food was so good that we ended up drinking a bit too much (laughs). Our room was in a separate building, and meals were served in a private dining room, so we rarely ran into other guests and could truly relax. We also used the private bath, and together with the bath in our room, we ended up soaking four times in total. The temperature was perfect. All of the staff were polite and attentive. We’d love to come back again as a treat for ourselves—what started as a celebration turned into us having an amazing time too (laughs).

I drove six hours just to stay here. It was my first time visiting Nagano, so I was worried about arriving safely, but I managed to make it... In the end, this was a wonderful inn in every way. The room was impeccably clean, and the Momoyama-style bath was truly beautiful. I could soak in the hot spring while admiring the breathtaking architecture. The service was excellent as well—my privacy was respected, yet I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. What impressed me most, however, was dinner. The choice of tableware and the beautiful presentation were outstanding. Each dish was served at its best—hot items arrived hot—and everything tasted delicious. I heard the menu changes monthly, and it made me want to come back every month. Even though it’s far away, I will definitely return. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality. It turned into a trip I am truly satisfied with.

Using aromatic vegetables, fish, and meat from the Kyoto area, each ingredient is prepared and served with the utmost care to preserve its natural fragrance, flavor, and texture in the best possible way. The chef’s evolving craft was truly impressive. I was also moved by the sommelier’s sincere dedication to wine. The cuisine feels perfectly suited to this one-of-a-kind Meiji-era mansion dining experience in Japan.
