I was able to enjoy the open-air bath at a relaxed, quiet pace. The kaiseki dinner had more dishes than I expected and was delicious. In particular, the Hida beef was outstanding—sweet and tender, melting in my mouth. Breakfast was also excellent with nothing to complain about. As a coffee lover, I really appreciated being able to enjoy lounge coffee freely at any time. This is an inn that makes you want to come back again.

The convenience is excellent, with the express bus stop from Sendai right in front of the property, and the bathroom’s separate washing area was also a big plus. Above all, I was amazed by how lavish the breakfast was. I chose the Japanese set, and was surprised to be served a tray-style meal that felt just like a Ryokan. Starting with imoni soup served on a small burner, every dish showcased Yamagata specialties—I was truly impressed. Both the quality and portion size were completely satisfying. I would love to stay again.

We stayed in the “Japanese-Western Style Room with Open-Air Hot Spring Bath.” It’s not cheap, but it was absolutely worth it—an incredibly satisfying stay! ■ Room & private open-air bath The room was beautifully luxurious, and the view from it was outstanding. It had both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and I loved that you can adjust the water temperature yourself in the outdoor one. I set it a bit lukewarm and enjoyed a long soak while taking in the scenery. There were also various complimentary drinks in the room, and spending time on the balcony with a drink while admiring the view felt like pure luxury. ■ Spectacular public bath (a must!) The in-room baths are amazing, but please make sure to visit the large public bath as well! I’ve been to many hot springs, and the view from this one is among the best. There are two baths with separate hours for men and women, so I highly recommend trying both. The daytime views are incredible—but nighttime is something else. Everything around you is pitch-black, to the point where you can barely see anything at first. As your eyes adjust, mountain outlines begin to emerge with an almost overwhelming presence—like giants looming closer. Just when you think “This is scary,” you look up… and there’s a sky full of stars! It had been so long since I’d seen stars that beautiful that I honestly wished they would turn off all the lights. ■ Dining & service Every dish was refined and delicious. That said, younger guests might find the portions a little light (though perhaps that’s fine if you’re mainly drinking—my spouse and I don’t drink). Also, I would have loved to have had a big pickled plum at breakfast. The staff service was excellent throughout—we were impressed from start to finish. ■ Access / other notes - The roads on the way there and the parking area are spacious, so even larger vehicles should be fine (we drove a BMW 2-door coupe about 5 m long). However, if it snows in winter, it may be tough since snow likely doesn’t melt quickly there. - It’s surrounded by nature, so insects do appear. My wife said that “Check-in at 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM isn’t enough time to fully enjoy this place!” She looked genuinely sad to leave. For me, Hita used to be just somewhere we passed through—but thanks to this inn, it has become a destination in itself. We will definitely return!

I love food and have stayed at many inns known for their cuisine, but the meals here far exceeded my expectations. Every dish was carefully prepared with excellent ingredients and great attention to detail, and the four of us—my parents and my spouse and I—enjoyed them with genuine admiration. The room was spotless down to every corner, the furnishings were beautiful, and the open-air bath was spacious and wonderfully relaxing. The woman who assisted us in our room was also outstanding. We could feel her thoughtful attention in everything—from the timing of each course to countless small details—which made our trip truly special. This is an inn I would love to visit again, and one I can confidently recommend.

We visited this inn to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and to recuperate after a fracture—finally staying at the place we’d long admired, with a private open-air bath fed by free-flowing natural hot spring water. It usually feels like a high-end splurge for us, but this time we decided to go for it—and we were truly satisfied. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented in exquisite tableware. There was such variety, too—especially memorable was the whole deep-fried scorpionfish served with sweet-and-sour sauce, even the bones edible, which was my first time trying. We enjoyed not only dessert after the meal but also my favorite coffee. We’re also grateful for the thoughtful celebration of our golden anniversary. The bath was wonderful as well: a spacious private bath with continuously flowing hot spring water available 24 hours a day. Even when sleepy, it was right there in our room so we could soak immediately—absolutely satisfying. All of the staff were genuinely kind: the shuttle service (with attentive care), the cheerful guidance on arrival, and the meal service (their movements felt like a true calling—thoughtful attention and pleasant conversation). Thanks to everyone, we could relax completely and were very happy. We’ll do our best so that we can come again.

I stayed here as a birthday gift for my sister. We were amazed the moment we entered the Room—not only did you prepare a Room with a view of the five-story pagoda, but you also gifted us sparkling wine to celebrate. My sister was absolutely thrilled. In the lounge, we enjoyed a wide variety of drinks and alcohol, along with visually stunning sweets and carefully crafted dishes. At night, we dined at the rooftop bar while taking in Kyoto’s night views. For breakfast, I chose a conger eel hot pot—something rare for a Hotel breakfast—and truly savored Kyoto’s summer flavors. We were also able to visit Kiyomizu-dera early in the morning when it was quiet and uncrowded, which made us very happy. It seems it became a wonderful memory for my sister as well. Thank you very much for taking so many photos for us.

I booked this ryokan for my in-laws’ trip, as I had previously given it to my mother as a gift and she absolutely loved it. They said everything was outstanding—the beautiful interior, the meals, and the baths. In particular, my parents-in-law live relatively nearby, but they were amazed to discover such a wonderful ryokan so close to home. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Shimane. Thank you once again for a truly wonderful time!

This luxury Japanese-style Ryokan with views of Mt. Fuji offered exceptional service. The view from the Room was stunning, and the windows were polished to a shine, which showed true hospitality. Both the in-room bath and the large public bath were comfortable and deeply relaxing. The meals were also delicious. The attentive service made our children happy as well. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

I’m sorry for the trouble caused by my sudden illness, but the staff were very caring and helped me a lot. Thank you very much. The Room and meals were wonderful, with a unique atmosphere unlike anywhere else. I’d love to visit again once I’m feeling better.

This was my first stay, and it was an even more wonderful Hotel than I expected. The Room was spacious and thoroughly cleaned in every corner, making for a very comfortable stay. The service was attentive, and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this Hotel and would love to stay again.

A clean Room and a spacious large public bath. The breakfast was delicious and enjoyable as well. I only regret that I arrived early, so I could have relaxed more.

We traveled with our dog. We’ve traveled to many places with our dog, and the meals here were by far the best. The portions were generous, and it’s a real shame we couldn’t finish everything. Having the meals served in our room was also a great choice. The building feels a bit old, but it was very clean and well maintained, and we really enjoyed using the large public bath. Our dog seemed to love the tatami mats and was more relaxed than ever before. All of the staff were cheerful, energetic, and very kind. We would definitely like to stay here again.

After staying here for the first time last June, we were finally able to return after a year and a half. Last time, we were deeply moved by the sight of Mt. Fuji emerging at dusk. With the long rainy spell in September, we came this time without high expectations—but we were pleasantly surprised and welcomed by a breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji wrapped in drifting clouds. It was well worth coming back. Both the food and drinks were outstanding: the sashimi included spiny lobster, the soup featured seasonal matsutake mushrooms, and the seafood hot pot was like an exquisite acqua pazza. The late-night ochazuke was also wonderful—the gentle bonito broth really hit the spot. The next morning, soaking in an early bath while taking in another spectacular view of Mt. Fuji was unforgettable, and coffee on the terrace with Mt. Fuji before us was truly special. Thank you for making it such a lovely date—we can’t wait to return to “Futari Towani En.” We also recommend buying their dried horse mackerel for breakfast and soy-marinated mackerel to take home from Maruaki Fish Shop.

Given the location, it may be no surprise that the fish is delicious, but the soup and side dishes were also excellent. The cooking showed outstanding taste and skill. Breakfast in particular was impressive—generous in portion size and well balanced. We stayed as a family in two Rooms. The special Room in the main building was very relaxing, with a living room overlooking the sea and a bedroom with a massage chair and a large TV. The detached annex was spacious and stylish with a modern feel, and we slept very well there. This was entirely our mistake, but thank you for kindly helping us look for our lost item. A wonderful Accommodation.

We stayed here for a family trip to celebrate a 60th birthday. The Room called “En” had wonderful views and beautiful furnishings, allowing us to forget everyday life and fully enjoy the relaxed pace of Amami. Above all, every meal was delicious, and we could really feel the care put into using local ingredients and pesticide-free produce—it was outstanding.

I was truly impressed by the beauty and the food. It made me see Maebashi in a new light—like a world of art. The lounge atmosphere changed throughout the day, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable, relaxing space. Thank you very much.

I stayed here recently and had a truly comfortable, wonderful time. It was a few days after Typhoon No. 25, so I was worried whether you were operating as usual, but when I called in advance, I was told that guests had been staying without any issues even the day after the typhoon, which reassured me. This time, I was very grateful to receive a room upgrade. The beautifully renovated room was well appointed and extremely comfortable. Above all, being able to enjoy the private hot spring bath in the room at any time was amazing. Soaking in the bath without worrying about time while looking out at the ocean right in front of me felt truly luxurious and deeply relaxing. Of course, I also enjoyed the large public bath’s Dead Sea salt bath—it warmed me up and felt great. The meals are generous, so I kept lunch light, but once again I couldn’t finish the kamameshi (iron-pot rice), and they kindly made the remainder into rice balls for a late-night snack. Every dish was delicious, and I was especially impressed by how fresh and flavorful the seafood was. All of the staff were very pleasant, and thanks to their warm hospitality, I felt comfortable from start to finish. This is an outstanding ryokan with a very high level of satisfaction—I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Everything was exceptional from pick-up to send-off. I stayed here after a weekend trek, and upon arrival we were welcomed with a welcome drink, along with a clear and courteous explanation of the Accommodation—brief yet thorough at all the key points. As for dinner, to put it in gourmet terms: “a blissful dining experience woven from artfully presented plates and a refined atmosphere.” In my own words: the ambiance was wonderful, everything was delicious, and I couldn’t wait to see what would come next! The private bath we used after the meal was also perfect—an open-air bath of just the right size, stocked with popular in-bath amenities that were gentle on the skin—so I could truly relax. The futon was very comfortable, and breakfast was healthy and vegetable-focused with delicious rice; the after-meal coffee in the lounge was excellent as well. Thank you for seeing us off so pleasantly at the end. We’ll be back! It really was an amazing weekend.

We stayed for three nights as a family of three. Above all, the location—right in front of the ocean—was incredible. The villa sits along the coastline that continues from Toguchi Beach, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to Toguchi Beach. It’s also less than a 10-minute drive from Irabu Ohashi Bridge, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. The daytime sea was beautiful, and the starry sky at night was amazing too. On a morning after rain, we even saw a huge rainbow over the ocean—an unforgettable view. The time we spent looking out at the sea and rainbow beyond the pool was especially memorable. There’s also a spot in front of the villa that feels like a small private beach. This time we decided not to swim due to an approaching tropical depression, but you can borrow pool items, sand-play toys, and life jackets. We were told that around typhoons, waves can wash away some of the sand and reduce the beach area. The pool is just the right size for families to enjoy together. And what we loved most was the BBQ. We bought our own ingredients and enjoyed lighting charcoal for the first time in ages. Having drinks while BBQing with the ocean right in front of us was unbeatable. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils and basic seasonings, so self-catering is easy. There’s also a water dispenser, complimentary drinks in the fridge, and a washer-dryer with detergent—very convenient for longer stays. Trash can be sorted and left by the entrance in the morning for collection. We also appreciated being able to sleep comfortably on regular beds rather than an extra bed even with three people. There are four beds in total, so we were able to rest well and recover from travel fatigue. The staff were very kind as well. It’s not full-service like a luxury hotel with 24-hour staffing, but during staffed hours they responded quickly whenever we needed something. On our last day they even came outside to see us off despite strong winds and heavy rain—we’re truly grateful. Since it’s summer there are some insects as expected, but insect spray and repellents are provided; we recommend setting them up soon after arrival. Geckos are part of island life too (in a good way). Because priority seems to be given to views, there isn’t much eave overhang; during heavy rain we noticed some raindrop noise against windows at times—but in return, the view from inside is absolutely stunning. The windows have good sound insulation overall; normally you can barely hear waves indoors at all. If anything could be improved, having mats at the entrance or terrace door to brush off sand would be even more convenient. This is a villa where you can stay “as if living,” at your own pace. Our whole family was completely satisfied—it was an amazing 3-night stay!
