Ikaho Onsen Akenoya

My spouse and I stayed here together. We booked No Meals Included, but the Room came with a sauna and an Onsen, and the price felt almost too low for the Facility—we honestly felt bad about it.It may not be for those who prefer luxury Hotels or Ryokan costing over 30,000 yen per night, but as other Reviews mention, there are many small thoughtful touches. The service quality covers what matters without being excessive, and the overall calm atmosphere made our stay very satisfying.We hope to return again within this year.

Just as the Reviews said, it was wonderful. Since a Room was available, we were upgraded to a Room with a sauna, and the staff were very polite and kind. We were delighted to find ice cream, 500 ml beer in the Room, a half bottle of wine, snacks, cake, yogurt, mini packs of milk, canned oolong tea, and 500 ml water. In the morning there were also delicious bread and carrot juice, with milk served in a pitcher. On departure they gave us the leftover bread in a Ziploc bag. Ikaho Dan-dan is about a 10-minute walk away (uphill). We truly want to stay again.
