Bentenjima Family Onsen Hotel Kaishunro

I stayed here for a live event at Ecopa. Check-in was until 10 PM, but since I arrived at Bentenjima Station just before 10 PM and went to buy dinner at a convenience store first, I called to inform them that I would be checking in after 10 PM. The staff responded very kindly and warmly, which made me feel reassured. When I arrived, they informed me that the Onsen was open until 11 PM. When I asked if it would be okay as long as I left the bath by 11 PM, they assured me not to worry since there were still other guests who hadn't arrived yet. Although the person who answered my call earlier was different from the one who greeted me upon arrival, it felt like all staff were well-trained and caring, which left a warm impression on me.The view from my room was great. Since it was late when I checked in, I only used the room for sleeping, but it was very comfortable. Instead of traditional futons on tatami mats, there were mattresses with futons laid on top of them, allowing for a soft and restful sleep.If there's one thing I'd wish for—it would have been nice if the Onsen could also be used in the morning since its hours started from 3 PM.The location is right in front of the station with a convenience store nearby; combined with excellent service from the staff, I'd love to stay here again if I'm ever visiting Shizuoka again. Stayed in a corner room of the annex. The room was so spacious, had multiple rooms, a great view, and was clean—it felt like a waste to only use it for sleeping during my trip for fan activities. It was my first time staying in a Japanese-style hotel, and I appreciated that the bathroom and toilet were separate. However, one of the two toilets in the room seemed to be out of order? Occasionally there was a strong unpleasant smell, which is why I deducted points. Next time, I’d like to visit purely for sightseeing rather than fan activities. It was also conveniently close to the station.
