With Dogs Hotel Forest Hills Nasu

This was our second stay, following last year. Nasu is known for its cool climate, but this Hotel feels especially refreshing as it is surrounded by forest and seems to stay even cooler than other areas in Nasu, making it very comfortable. We stay for two nights each time and enjoy trying a different Room. There are various cottage-style Accommodations with different atmospheres, and every Room is spotless. Best of all, it’s truly dog-first—we can spend time together with our dog both in the restaurant and even on the bed in the Room, which we really appreciate. Many staff members have qualifications that allow them to support dogs (such as trainer-related credentials), and they are very kind to dogs, so we can relax with peace of mind. In particular, we had the rare experience here of having our dog ride a pony for the first time, and the staff took even more photos of our brave pup than we did—it was such fun. There are three types of dog runs where dogs can play to their heart’s content, while owners can also enjoy the open-air bath. We slept soundly at night, and the meals were delicious—an extremely satisfying Hotel overall.

We stayed over a weekend in May. Our Room had a private open-air Onsen, and soaking while enjoying the beautiful fresh greenery was wonderful. The amenities felt luxurious, and we were especially pleased to find pet amenities such as dog shampoo.For dinner, we chose the in-room BBQ and enjoyed it on the terrace. We could dine at our own pace without worrying about others, and the meat and vegetables were high quality and delicious. Nasu is still chilly at this time of year, so if you choose the BBQ option, bringing a warm jacket is recommended.The BBQ while feeling Nasu’s refreshing breeze and spring greenery was great, but the breakfast buffet was exceptionally good. Next time, we would love to try the chef’s dinner.Most of all, we appreciated how quiet it was. The grounds were peaceful throughout, and with each Room spaced apart, we slept soundly at night.The dog run even had lighting for nighttime use, there were areas where you can interact with horses and goats (including feeding experiences), and it was also a lovely place to take walks around the spacious property. The evening illuminations were also beautifully done.Even though our family rarely returns to the same Accommodation, this is one we truly want to visit again. We look forward to staying again soon.
