Matsukawa Onsen Kyounso

My first visit to Matsukawa Onsen was wonderful. The meals were truly delicious. The Facility was clean, and the mattress and futon were very comfortable, so I had a relaxing stay.It was disappointing that bathing wear is not allowed in the mixed-gender bath. Even so, after confirming that no one else was in the bath, my spouse and I used it together, but we would really appreciate it if bathing wear were permitted.

The hot spring water quality here is truly excellent. I hesitated because the open-air bath is mixed-gender and I didn’t want to feel self-conscious, but during the three times I used it while staying, fortunately I did not share it with any women. The building is functional and clean. Dinner is served in your Room, so even solo travelers can enjoy it at their own pace. I chose the higher-priced Room with a washbasin and toilet, but the toilet in the Room does not have a bidet seat, and I didn’t feel there was enough benefit to justify the price difference—so next time I may choose the cheaper Room.
