Takayama City Hotel Four Seasons

I stayed here on a solo motorcycle trip. Thank you very much for providing covered motorcycle parking.The bath, meals, and Room were all excellent, and I had a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were very kind—they recommended nearby restaurants and even lent me a bicycle free of charge. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance.

I stayed during Golden Week, so the price may differ from the regular rate, but it was around 10,000 yen and felt inexpensive for Golden Week.The front desk area was classy and spacious, and although I had a single room, it felt a bit stylish.The standout was the breakfast buffet. It’s vegetable-focused, and the eggplant made with a local sweet miso was incredibly delicious.I think it may be prepared by the staff who run the attached bar at night; it was excellent Japanese food and went perfectly with rice.It also felt like it’s located right in the old town drinking district, so access to nightlife and the morning market was very convenient. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Takayama.
