Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Beppu Seifu

We stayed in an 11th-floor sea-side Room. The Hotel is right in front of the ocean, so the view was wonderful, and the sunrise was especially beautiful. Both the panoramic bath and the indoor bath were very relaxing. I also liked that the washing area was in a separate room.\nThe dining area is on the 12th floor, so we enjoyed our meal while looking out toward the mountains. At dinner, the staff offered to take photos for us, which made us happy. The food was delicious, and we were glad there were many Oita specialties. There were sashimi, karaage (Japanese fried chicken), toriten (Oita-style chicken tempura), dango-jiru soup, shiitake curry, sea bream dashi ochazuke, French toast, soft-serve ice cream, and many other tasty dishes.\nThe Room felt clean, and I liked laying out our own futons because it meant no one needed to come into the Room. All of the staff had a great atmosphere as well—overall we were extremely satisfied.

Our family of four adults stayed in a 15-tatami Japanese-style Room. It was very spacious, like two connected Japanese-style Rooms.From the panoramic bath we could see the ocean, and in the morning we were able to watch the sunrise. The indoor bath was on a different floor.The meals included local specialties and were very delicious.However, it didn’t seem thoroughly cleaned, and we noticed dust. Starting the morning after our stay, one person developed itching after being bitten in several places by something like mites. We don’t know whether it came from the Room, the bedding, or somewhere else.The grounds outside the Hotel were well maintained and the views were great overall, so we were satisfied.
