APA Hotel Kanazawa-Nishi

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay during the Obon holiday period. It was a distance from the station by car, but I chose it because parking was free. The parking lot in front of the Hotel filled up quickly if I arrived a bit late, but the Hotel had secured additional parking behind the building, and there is an entrance at the back as well, so it was not a problem at all. Perhaps because I made my Reservation one month in advance, the rate was also a good deal. Also, with Omicho Market nearby and popular spots like Hachiban Ramen and Noboru Ramen located roughly between Kanazawa Station and the Hotel, it was very convenient. The bed was nice and fluffy. The coin laundry could get crowded depending on the day, but I was still able to use it without trouble. I did not add breakfast when making my Reservation, but by requesting it by the day before, I could get it at a slightly discounted price. I added breakfast only on the last day. The selection—including drinks—was extensive, and above all, the white rice was delicious. The Hotel staff were kind and carefully explained how to use buses or taxis to get to the station. There were welcome drinks in my Room, and for a Multiple Night Stay they also replenished items such as coffee. It was my first time staying at an APA Hotel, and it lived up to its reputation—I felt it is a trustworthy Hotel.One thing that concerned me was a moldy smell in the bathroom. I couldn’t tell whether it came from the shower curtain or near the ventilation fan area, but every time I opened the unit bath door I noticed it, which was stressful. There was also a place to hang clothes between my Room entrance door and the unit bath area, but I didn’t feel comfortable using it because I worried odors might transfer.Still, overall I am very satisfied with my stay. For a Business Hotel in this price range, it is very good. My only complaint was that the dimmable lights had been replaced with LED bulbs, so I couldn’t make the Room softly lit. At night, it was either completely dark or too bright. I would like to see dimmable LED bulbs installed.
