Wise Cabin & Hotel Naha Kokusai Dori

The ferry did not depart, so I had to make a last-minute Reservation that day. I chose this place because it was affordable, women-only, and had good Reviews.I was able to borrow a chain for my suitcase and store it in a separate space. There was also a card key that only women can use—if a man were wandering around, it would feel out of place.There was also a lockable space next to the bed, and a TV as well, so I felt the facilities were well equipped.The stairs felt a little scary, but considering the price, I was satisfied.Thank you very much.

If I had to describe this Hotel in one phrase, it would be “maximum convenience.” The location is excellent: the Prefectural Office, Naha City Hall, Department Store Ryubo, and Yui Rail Kencho-mae Station are all clustered nearby, and on the Hotel side you’ll find the end of Kokusai-dori. On the Prefectural Office side of Department Store Ryubo is a bus stop called “Kencho Kita,” with buses departing in every direction. Combined with the Yui Rail, there’s almost nowhere you can’t reach. Of course, Kokusai-dori is only a 2-minute walk away—so rather than “sightseeing,” it feels more like casually stepping out for a stroll or a meal. Breakfast isn’t included, but as far as I could find there are about 10 places nearby that open from 7:00 a.m., so you can rotate daily between Western-style breakfasts, Japanese soba, Okinawan miso soup, and more. You’ll probably work up a sweat in Okinawa’s heat, but you can use the large public bath for morning baths and the sauna as much as you like. During daytime cleaning hours there’s also a shower room available, so you can stay comfortable at any time. Non-guests can also use it for 800 yen; if you factor that into your stay cost-wise, it’s definitely good value. That said, it’s not all positives: because it’s cabin-style Accommodation there is essentially no soundproofing, and even at night you’ll hear some kind of noise from somewhere. If you understand what cabin-style means and are staying cheaply anyway, that’s just part of it—but if you can’t tolerate that kind of environment, you shouldn’t choose cabin-style Accommodation in the first place. There are also Hotels around mid-Kokusai-dori that cost 30,000 yen per night (laughs). Even though it’s cabin-style Accommodation security is solid—you can’t enter the cabins without a card key. At night the entrance is locked as well and access is by card key only. If you understand what cabin-style Accommodation offers and can enjoy it in your own way this is an inexpensive and highly convenient Hotel.
