Valley of Fire Onsen Misugi Resort Hotel ANNEX

This was my repeat stay.I always look forward to the buffet and the beer bath.The accommodation rates have been gradually increasing, so I’ll keep an eye on the timing and stay again!All the staff are pleasant and helpful, and although the facilities and building are old, it’s a good Hotel.

We stayed in a cottage because we were traveling with our pet.We knew the building was old, so nothing really surprised us. However, the loud creaking of the stairs bothered us. The sink, toilet, and bath are all in one space and there is no lock. We were staying as a family, but we still would have liked a lock.The loft is very spacious and you can stand and walk around. Our grandchild was looking forward to the hammock and used it right away as soon as we arrived.That said, inside the bedding storage in the loft area, the comforter was stuffed in messily. We didn’t use it, but I’m not sure if it was left that way by previous guests or when it happened.The comforter also felt a bit thick. We would appreciate something thinner and lighter.It’s a bit of a walk from the cottage to the main building, and there are slopes. Some areas are completely dark at night. I think you need a light (we brought one).We encountered three deer, and there were quite a lot of insects… (lots of nature).The meals were delicious. There weren’t many dishes, but the meat was tender and everything tasted good overall.Our grandchild also used the Western-style open-air bath at night and seemed to enjoy it. They were happy because being able to do this at night isn’t something you find elsewhere.As for traveling with our dog, we didn’t have any particular problems, but leaving them alone during mealtime was difficult—being left in an unfamiliar Room must have made them quite anxious.Some Hotels allow you to dine together with your dog, but with other guests around there are limits too.So we finished our meal early each time and went back quickly.
