Hotel Crown Hills Niigata

We stayed here the night before heading to Sado. Since we booked on the day, we received a discount and it was great value for money.The Room isn’t large, but it was comfortable enough. The shared area had manga and massage chairs, and the kids enjoyed them too.The buffet breakfast on the 10th floor was very reasonably priced—so cheap I felt it might even be less than buying food at a convenience store. There was a good selection, and the rice (from Niigata) was delicious.At the Hotel entrance there was also a shaved-ice service (mainly for kids?), and although it was only available for a short time, we had a pleasant stay overall.One thing that confused me: we parked in the affiliated multi-story parking garage right in front of the Hotel. When asked about our parking ticket, I handed it over thinking it would be free, but at checkout it only went from 1,200 yen to 1,100 yen. The website also says 1,100 yen, but I couldn’t tell whether that is the regular rate or the discounted rate. Since the front desk took my ticket, ran it through their machine, and returned it without any explanation, I think some guests may mistakenly assume parking becomes free.

I’m grateful to be able to stay at this price.There is also a bath, but it alternates between men and women, so please note that men can use it only after 9:30 p.m.The bath area provides shampoo, conditioner, and soap, and there were also other shampoos available to borrow in front of the front desk.It was a bit surprising that the bath is located behind the front desk, but there is also a small sauna.I also had breakfast; whether ¥900 (¥1,000 if purchased on the day) feels worth it may depend on personal preference.For parking, I used Mitsui’s Repark next to the Hotel, but perhaps because I stayed for a long time, it cost ¥2,000, which was a bit painful.
