Hotel Crescent Asahikawa

One of the joys of visiting Asahikawa is staying at this Hotel. The breakfast is simply delicious! The freshly baked bread—croissants and crispy Danish pastries—is always excellent. And the homemade pudding in a jar! I always end up having two or three. There’s also a great selection of farmer’s bacon, curry, Japanese rolled omelet, simmered dishes, and salads. The single Room is spacious and easy to use, and the front desk staff are kind and helpful. True to its name, the whole Hotel has a calm atmosphere, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from Asahikawa Station while strolling through Kaimono Koen. The price is reasonable as well, and I think it’s one of Asahikawa’s standout Hotels. It’s also adorable that there are large plush penguins and seals inside the Hotel. This is a Hotel that makes you want to stay again every time.

It was my first time using Asahikawa Station. The Hotel is a bit far from the station, but I walked straight along the pedestrian walkway called “Kaimono Koen,” enjoying the scenery and shops, and it was easier than I expected. Many new Hotels had opened near the station. It was quite hot during the day, but because of the temperature difference, it gets chilly at night.The Room had been renovated, but perhaps because it felt cool at night, I felt the air conditioning wasn’t very effective. Overall, I had no problems during my stay.The morning buffet had a good variety, and I felt it made good use of Hokkaido ingredients. The tomatoes and potatoes were delicious. The seasoning tasted a little strong to me.The weather was great, and I think this is an excellent Hotel to stay at in summer. Thank you very much.
