We stayed here for his birthday. We made a Reservation because we could enjoy the sauna, Onsen, and BBQ.This time, we only had breakfast, and brought our own ingredients for dinner.To put it mildly, this Accommodation was amazing. It was a little disappointing that there was no microwave, but everything else was perfect!We will definitely come again!

We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at an Accommodation I’d been curious about for a while.The welcome snacks and the half-bottle of welcome sparkling wine were a lovely touch.The complimentary drinks included:Two small bottles of Kirin beer, two “Totonoita” drinks for after the sauna, two Ramune sodas, and 1 liter of detox water.Other drinks are paid, but you can bring your own, and there’s also a water dispenser, which we really appreciated.We often bring extra ingredients, but since we asked about dinner in advance, it was more than enough and we didn’t need to bring anything additional—we were completely full. It was a bit disappointing that the cooked rice had cooled down.A small knife was provided, but since we needed to cut things like spiny lobster and abalone, it would have been helpful if a cutting board and aluminum foil (for steaming vegetables or meat) had been prepared in advance.Even with ventilation in the BBQ Room, it’s understandable that odors linger—but since there’s a bedroom right next door separated by a door, we ended up discussing where to sleep because the smell bothered us. After using the BBQ Room, we tried not to open the connecting door to the bedroom and instead went in and out through another door to the living area.The Rooms with the living area and bedroom didn’t have any odor issues so we could sleep there comfortably, but I think some guests may find it bothersome.Because there is a refrigerator in the BBQ Room only, we had to go into that smelly area whenever we needed something from both the living room and bedroom. A small refrigerator in the living room would be convenient.Dinner felt luxurious overall; breakfast was just okay.It was a build-your-own burger style with fillings,and I felt the soup portion might be small for two people.For drinks there were options like coffee made from freshly ground beans, milk, and smoothies—but since none suited our taste preferences, it might be nice to also have apple juice, orange juice, or barley tea.Because it rained during our stay, areas around the sauna were slippery—I slipped and hurt my wrist and got some bruises—so please be careful on rainy days.Since there’s a cold plunge right outside after exiting the sauna (and you’ll likely walk barefoot), it can be easy to slip.I’ve mentioned quite a few points here; however unlike other glamping stays this one made BBQ easy with its yakiniku-style setup. Having an Onsen as well—and being able to use the sauna as many times as we wanted—was amazing. Overall I’m glad we chose this Accommodation.Thank you very much for preparing a birthday plate as well!We were able to have such a wonderful celebration.We’d love to use other Hanashibuki Resort properties again.
