D’sgrow Resort Infinity Pool Villa TOGUCHINOHAMA

We stayed for three nights as a family of three. Above all, the location—right in front of the ocean—was incredible. The villa sits along the coastline that continues from Toguchi Beach, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to Toguchi Beach. It’s also less than a 10-minute drive from Irabu Ohashi Bridge, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. The daytime sea was beautiful, and the starry sky at night was amazing too. On a morning after rain, we even saw a huge rainbow over the ocean—an unforgettable view. The time we spent looking out at the sea and rainbow beyond the pool was especially memorable.There’s also a spot in front of the villa that feels like a small private beach. This time we decided not to swim due to an approaching tropical depression, but you can borrow pool items, sand-play toys, and life jackets. We were told that around typhoons, waves can wash away some of the sand and reduce the beach area.The pool is just the right size for families to enjoy together. And what we loved most was the BBQ. We bought our own ingredients and enjoyed lighting charcoal for the first time in ages. Having drinks while BBQing with the ocean right in front of us was unbeatable.The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils and basic seasonings, so self-catering is easy. There’s also a water dispenser, complimentary drinks in the fridge, and a washer-dryer with detergent—very convenient for longer stays. Trash can be sorted and left by the entrance in the morning for collection.We also appreciated being able to sleep comfortably on regular beds rather than an extra bed even with three people. There are four beds in total, so we were able to rest well and recover from travel fatigue.The staff were very kind as well. It’s not full-service like a luxury hotel with 24-hour staffing, but during staffed hours they responded quickly whenever we needed something. On our last day they even came outside to see us off despite strong winds and heavy rain—we’re truly grateful.Since it’s summer there are some insects as expected, but insect spray and repellents are provided; we recommend setting them up soon after arrival. Geckos are part of island life too (in a good way).Because priority seems to be given to views, there isn’t much eave overhang; during heavy rain we noticed some raindrop noise against windows at times—but in return, the view from inside is absolutely stunning. The windows have good sound insulation overall; normally you can barely hear waves indoors at all. If anything could be improved, having mats at the entrance or terrace door to brush off sand would be even more convenient.This is a villa where you can stay “as if living,” at your own pace.Our whole family was completely satisfied—it was an amazing 3-night stay!

My husband and I visit Miyakojima every year. This was our first time staying on Irabu Island, and choosing this Accommodation was absolutely the right decision. We could see the ocean both from the Room and from the bath, and once outside there was a pool. The pool was more than spacious enough for two people, with good depth, and we could reach the beach in seconds. We considered walking to Toguchi Beach as it seemed close enough, but the rocky footing was rough and dangerous, so we gave up. At night we enjoyed a sky full of stars by the pool with a drink in hand—an Accommodation where you can have everything you want without even leaving. There was an extra bedroom next to the bathroom, so we used it to spread out our suitcases and store our luggage, which allowed us to use the living room, dining area, and main bedroom comfortably and spaciously. For meals, there were restaurants just a short drive away, so it never felt inconvenient. There were also some unique places that served items like mangrove crab and sea turtle. We stayed for three nights this time, but next year we’d like to stay a little longer.
