SETOUCHI KEIRIN HOTEL 10 by Onko Chishin

We stayed here while visiting a family grave, and it was a great help. They handled our small concerns discreetly and thoughtfully. The property was very clean with a lovely view, and the staff were all extremely kind. Even though we arrived early, we were able to relax in the guest lounge (a complimentary perk), and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. It’s a bit inconvenient that it’s some distance from Uno Station, but with the shuttle service and taxi fare support, we didn’t feel inconvenienced at all. We had a very comfortable stay.

I’d been curious about this place ever since reading the manga “Ohitorisama Hotel,” and I stayed here for one night before my trip to Naoshima. The entire Hotel was very stylish, and the view from my Room terrace—overlooking the velodrome and the sea—was wonderful. There were no races that day, but it looked like I could catch a glimpse of athletes practicing during the daytime. The large public bath and sauna were also spotless, and the loungewear was so comfortable—I really liked it.I regret not buying it a little (lol).Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. There were lots of fun options you don’t usually see at typical Hotel buffets, such as marinated sea bream rice bowls, Tenshinhan (crab omelet over rice), clam chowder, and French toast, and I ended up eating too much. All of the staff were cheerful and kind.I was planning to take a taxi to Uno Port in the morning, but they kindly drove me there on their free shuttle bus, which was a huge help.Because of my schedule I couldn’t stay long enough and wish I’d had more time to enjoy everything, but I was very satisfied with this wonderful Hotel!
