Hakuba Mominoki Hotel

This is a hotel with a great atmosphere. The water pressure of the onsen shower was too strong, and it reached others who were bathing (partly depending on how the shower was used). I would like to stay here again in winter.

This was my second stay. It's convenient because they provide a shuttle to the Happo Bus Terminal, and it's about a 10-minute walk to the Happo Gondola station if you want to head to the mountains early in the morning. Upon entering the hotel building, there's an open lobby lounge with a fireplace, creating a spacious atmosphere. I think it's a mountain resort hotel with a unique ambiance. Sunlight streams in through the large windows, making you want to relax here. Although it's a bit small, there's also a hot spring, and taking a bath after descending the mountain really refreshes you. Meals are buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, and while it's a bit disappointing that the menu doesn't change much if you stay for consecutive nights, considering the accommodation price, I think it's sufficient. The staff were attentive, allowing us to enjoy our meals comfortably.This time, I signed up for an early morning walk with a guide. It's free. It was an enjoyable one-hour walk, visiting Suwa Shrine with its large sacred tree, learning about the ancient customs related to Dosojin, the rise and fall of the village, and explanations about the native trees and flowers. I think it's limited to the green season, but since it starts at 6 AM, I recommend it for those who can wake up early.The one thing I'd like to see improved is the cooking smell from the rooms with a mini kitchen. My room was perhaps close to it, as the smell of meat cooking came through the duct. It was during the time I wanted to relax in my room, so it bothered me.
