    This time, due to the circumstances of the original accommodation (Bokakakan), we stayed at Ryokan Gero Onsen Sasara. Initially, we were a bit anxious, but we were completely satisfied with the meals, room, onsen, and staff. This accommodation is one we would like to use again when visiting Gero Onsen.

    Next-door neighbor

    It was a trip with friends after a long time. The front desk service was very kind, and the staff, who were foreigners, spoke beautifully and left a good impression. It felt like a traditional Ryokan where we could relax.

    Sorry!

    We travel about once a month as a couple, and this time we brought our daughter along. Although we have visited many Onsen destinations, this was our first time visiting Gero Onsen as it seemed too mainstream before. The Facility had an old and historical charm, and cleaning was well-maintained. However, the Room's sofa was so outdated that it sank like a hole when sitting on it, which felt uncomfortable. Dinner was served as a set meal rather than a buffet, but honestly, the dishes were disappointing considering the price. I felt that meals at certain chain group Hotels might be better and more affordable. The baths were good though; they provided an enjoyable experience!

    This is my third stay at the Property, and I always enjoy the delicious meals in the morning and evening. I look forward to seeing if the dinner menu will have new options next time. It would be great to have a roof over the pathway to the private open-air bath. The staff provided kind and attentive service. I will definitely stay here again.

    I was able to relax.

    We stayed as a family during the New Year. The building itself felt a bit old, but it was well-maintained and we had a pleasant stay.

    It was very good.

    This is my first time at Gero Onsen. The beef steak & Hoba-yaki for dinner were amazing, and the steak was praised as the best among the Stays on this trip. The rice made from new harvest was also delicious, and I am very satisfied. Although the Property has a retro Showa era feel, both the bath and the meals were very satisfying.

    A bit old but nice room and garden, excellent bath.

    The room and garden were a bit old but nice. The bath was clean, with excellent spring quality. The service was straightforward but sufficient. We were satisfied with the food, including the children's menu. We were delighted as a family with this affordable hot spring hotel.
