The dining room’s large picture windows are a real highlight. While having dinner at a window-side table, we unexpectedly saw what looked like a crane—a large bird flying in. We also spotted many other waterfowl. The sunrise from the nearby pier was beautiful. The meals are satisfying as well. We really enjoyed the roast beef—it was delicious.

We stayed here as a family while traveling around the Kushiro Marsh and the Mashu area.The price was very reasonable, so we were a bit worried at first, but the food was delicious, the Room was clean, and we had a comfortable stay with no inconveniences.As others have mentioned, the building and interior do feel somewhat dated, but everything was well maintained and it didn’t bother us.That said, it did feel a little plain, and since “Prince Hotel” used to mean a wonderful Resort Hotel, it made us feel a bit nostalgic.Even if prices go up slightly, I hope they keep improving so they won’t be outdone by Hoshino opening nearby soon. With such an excellent location, I think this could become an even more wonderful Hotel.The buffet meals were all tasty. The make-your-own soft-serve ice cream was fun for both kids and adults. There were also children’s options, making it a meal that keeps everyone happy on a family trip.As is often the case with buffets anywhere, when asked what single main dish was best, nothing in particular stood out in my memory.On the other hand, what was great is that even though it was a buffet, we could enjoy it without getting irritated by crowds. The environment where you hardly notice staff moving around felt very “Prince.”Access from Mashu Station isn’t very convenient, but being able to use the Shuttle Service bus really helped.This applies to Hokkaido overall: traveling by public transportation is quite difficult now, and it’s disappointing to see transport services and towns declining. I think this is something that prefectural roads authorities/municipalities and transportation operators need to address more seriously.
