From the moment you step through the entrance, you can immerse yourself in the world of Ryoma Sakamoto. Within a modern, sophisticated design, there are countless subtle messages that those in the know will recognize, making it fun to explore like solving a mystery. What stands out most is the cuisine. Every detail feels intentional—why these ingredients, prepared this way, finished with these flavors, plated on this dishware, and served in this order—and you can truly sense a clear concept throughout. More than simply enjoying delicious food, I felt I was experiencing an extraordinary world, and it moved me deeply. The selection of books is also excellent. In addition to many Ryoma-related titles, there were plenty of thoughtfully chosen staff recommendations that were especially rewarding to read, enjoyed alongside complimentary delicious drinks. This was my first time staying at an accommodation that offers books by Professor Shizuka Shirakawa.

Thank you for taking care of us during our summer trip to Shikoku. Before dinner, we were able to watch a live demonstration of straw-seared bonito, and it was truly delicious. The bath was also spacious and very relaxing. We didn’t know until we arrived, but this is a historic and prestigious Accommodation, and every staff member who assisted us was courteous and attentive. We booked the guided walking stay Plan, and the next day we visited ponds associated with Ryoma Sakamoto while walking. The explanations were thorough, making it a truly memorable experience.

I was looking for a place to stay in Kochi City during a motorcycle touring trip and found this Hotel. There aren’t many Hotels in the city where you can park a large motorcycle, but this one secured parking for motorcycles (and it’s near the entrance), which was very helpful. The Room facilities and amenities were more than enough for me. I stayed on a weekday, and breakfast started at 6:00 a.m.; there was a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. I’d like to stay here again when I visit Kochi City.

Although it was a No Meals Included stay, the service was pleasant and made my stay very comfortable. The Onsen was also wonderful—before I knew it, time had passed while I was soaking (sweat). I visit Kochi Prefecture about twice a year, so I’d like to stay here again next time.

My spouse and I stayed on Thursday, September 24. The moment we entered the Room, we felt it was simply lovely. It was very functional, and we had a comfortable stay. The Room only had a shower, but we used the bath that can accommodate 4–5 people, and it was easy to use as well. If it were a little more spacious, it would be perfect! Breakfast was a buffet where you pick up small side dishes, with plenty of variety, and we were very satisfied. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were pleasant and made us feel at ease. If I have another chance to visit Kochi, I would like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

The location was reasonably convenient, the property was clean, and I especially felt the staff’s service was excellent. On the other hand, I occasionally noticed an unpleasant odor in the unit bathroom in my room, so that affected my rating (it smelled like a drain odor backing up).

Whenever I visit Kochi, I always stay here. The Room was clean and well kept, and breakfast was a Japanese set prepared individually; it was tasty and the portion size was just right. One small concern was that the bathtub plug chain was wrapped tightly around the faucet, which made it difficult to remove. I understand this may be unavoidable for a single Room, but I would be happier with a TV with a larger screen. I will stay here again.

The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, so I had a very comfortable stay. The Onsen facilities were also great, and I really enjoyed the variety. However, there was only one coin laundry machine on the floor, so having another would make it more convenient. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

It was different from what I expected—in a good way. Sorry for the confusion; it was better than I had imagined. I thought it would feel like a dormitory-style lodging, but it was actually a business hotel. The twin room was spacious, and the bathroom and toilet were clean. At night, the illuminated Kochi Castle looked wonderful from the window. For breakfast, we were shown to a private room, which felt relaxing. Recently I’ve found buffet-style breakfasts a bit of a hassle, so I really appreciated that everything here was prepared individually for each person.

As it was during Golden Week, Hotels across Kochi Prefecture were fully booked, but we were able to stay here thanks to a cancellation. The Room was very spacious (12 tatami mats) and clean. Since it is often used for training camps and similar stays, the Room did not have a bath or toilet, but there was a large public bath and shared toilets near the Room, so it was not inconvenient (though some people may mind). The staff kindly and courteously helped us with an issue we had, for which we are very grateful.
