We recently stayed at Jupiter for one night with five people, including a young child. It was mid-October, but we were lucky to have clear skies and relatively warm weather, so the kids really enjoyed the heated pool. It was also great to have a jacuzzi right nearby. Tojinbo was very close as well, and we could even catch glimpses of the ocean and sunset from the poolside. For dinner, we bought ingredients at a local supermarket and grilled steak and yakiniku on the outdoor BBQ grill. After that, the cheese and crackers we received as a complimentary gift (?) were delicious and helped us relax. The individually packaged single-serving seasonings were also very helpful. The hot stone spa and sauna löyly were great too. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

From arrival by car to departure, we had a very pleasant stay. All the staff were cheerful and very kind, and the meals were excellent. When we left by car, it was especially memorable that they kept waving until we were out of sight. We would definitely like to stay again.

I’d love to visit again. It couldn’t have been more comfortable. Warm and kind, with just the right amount of distance—truly relaxing from the heart. So this is what hospitality is. The staff’s teamwork was wonderful, and somehow it felt like coming home. Making my own onsen egg was fun, too. We stayed in a special room; it was spacious and excellent, with a massage chair as well. My family and I even said we should have stayed one more night. We were also able to use the new lounge called Waraku. After the hot springs, we could relax in our yukata at Waraku while enjoying drinks and light snacks.

The bath, the meals, and the hospitality were all perfect. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

We stayed here on our family’s first trip to Hokuriku. The room, hot spring, meals, and staff were all wonderful, and our whole family was very satisfied. As the one who planned the schedule and chose the accommodation, I was truly happy to see everyone enjoy it so much. We would definitely love to stay again.

The Accommodation staff were very pleasant, and the Room was thoughtfully designed and comfortable to stay in. I also really appreciated that the Room was arranged just as I had requested. The water provided was the same brand I regularly have delivered at home, which made me so happy. The meals were truly outstanding. I’m a Fukui resident, and I was amazed to see local ingredients transformed into dishes like this—and everything tasted wonderful. The service was attentive and felt polished. The artwork on display and the plants grown in the center created a great atmosphere. The table layout also felt perfectly spaced from other guests, so it really felt like we could enjoy a delicious meal with just the right amount of privacy, leaving me completely satisfied overall. People from outside the prefecture often ask me about Fukui, so lately I’ve been staying in Fukui and around Kaga to experience things for myself—and this is a place I’d like to recommend to my local friends as well. I’d love to visit the restaurant again. Thank you for such an enjoyable time. *The bath area was clean, but I rated it “4” because it would have been even better if it had an Onsen. That said, it was more convenient than many typical Hotels—so it’s closer to a 5 than not. Since there are plenty of Onsen nearby, I also thought it would be fine to visit a day-use Onsen the next day.*

I’ve stayed at many Rakuten-listed accommodations, and this room was easy to use and the best among all the Rakuten properties I’ve stayed at. As for the meals, I don’t think anything other than the hot pot is necessary. I was also a bit concerned about the smell of the rice. Still, if I come back to Awara Onsen again, I’ll stay here.

I loved the Japanese-modern exterior and the chic, calming interior. The guest room had a high ceiling, and the alcove lantern added a wonderful traditional touch—I could really feel the good taste in the design. I heard there are only about 10 rooms in total, so the hot spring was never crowded and I could soak at my leisure. Dinner featured a wide variety of dishes using summer vegetables, seasonal fish, and local ingredients; I was very satisfied with the gentle seasoning. The chilled edamame soup was something I’d love to have again. Breakfast also offered plenty of options and generous portions—above all, the rice was delicious. From welcome to farewell, I felt truly high-quality service in every interaction with the staff. It was a stay that reminded me how glad I am to choose a ryokan again after so long. Highly recommended!

Everyone at the Hotel welcomed us with warm smiles, making our stay very comfortable and relaxing. The large public bath was great, with a shampoo bar and a selection of hair dryers from brands like ReFa and YA-MAN, which was fun to try. Thank you very much.

We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was clean, and we were able to relax. One request: it would be great if we could choose the portion size for our dog’s meal. The menu selection was excellent, but the serving was a bit too large for our dog.

My wife is currently undergoing medical treatment, so I contacted the property in advance with two or three requests. They kindly accommodated them, and we had a wonderful stay. The staff were also very courteous.

I chose Haiya as my Accommodation in Awara Onsen for the first time in a year. I still remembered the layout and traditional furnishings of my previous Room (Iwashimizu), so I decided to stay here again. This time, my Room was “Choyo,” and I also loved its classic, traditional atmosphere. Best of all, the Room had an open-air bath, so I could relax and soak at my own pace and enjoy a different feel from the large public bath. As before, the meals featured plenty of locally sourced ingredients, including Wakasa beef, which I was able to savor fully. The many dishes served in tableware that evoked an autumn ambiance also showed the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail. I really like Haiya’s calm, high-quality atmosphere, and I plan to stay here again when I visit Awara Onsen next time.

This was our first trip to Mikuni, and also our first time staying overnight there. Our child couldn’t wait to get into the hot springs, so we checked in almost as soon as check-in opened. We headed straight to the baths with our child. Because the bath can be reserved for private use by a family, we could relax without worrying about other guests and truly enjoy it. Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath were a comfortable size, with just the right water temperature. After bathing, dinner began. We had Wakasa beef steak and a whole grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) seasoned with salt. The vinegared dishes and chawanmushi were also delicious. My partner was especially happy with the perfectly balanced salt seasoning on the nodoguro! We were also delighted by the owner’s warm hospitality. Our child was thrilled too—hamburg steak, fried shrimp, and more made for a very happy dinner! The owner told us about local fish and Mikuni specialties such as momi-wakame seaweed, which made for a truly meaningful time. Then all three of us enjoyed another private bath together—my wife and child were both very satisfied! We all went to bed at 9 p.m., then headed back to the baths first thing in the morning. After that came breakfast—the moment we’d been waiting for. Drinks were plentiful too, including green smoothies and orange juice! For breakfast, we adults had mackerel, while our child had salmon; both were exceptionally tasty. The owner also recommended visiting Mikuni’s roadside station (Michi-no-Eki) to look for souvenirs, which helped make this one-night trip feel wonderfully complete. It’s a small inn, but thanks to their kindness toward children—and an excellent balance of meals, baths, and service—we had an outstanding stay. There seems to be a resort hotel near Tojinbo as well, but we’re glad we chose Kaze no Mori instead. Thank you very much.

We hadn’t been able to go on our honeymoon, so we decided to take a trip somewhere in Japan and booked this hotel after seeing someone introduce it on social media. Since we wanted to relax and unwind, having hot springs was important—and above all, we were drawn to the breakfast and dinner buffets! From the check-in explanation, the staff were kind and thorough. And best of all: unlimited soft drinks and unlimited snacks—such a treat! Right after the explanation, my husband and I started enjoying them right away (lol). Dinner—the part I was most looking forward to—was truly impressive. From meat, crab, seafood, and sweets to all-you-can-drink alcohol… If only my stomach could eat more! When we were first shown to our seats, a female staff member recommended the shrimp mayo (“I recommend the shrimp mayo”), and freshly made shrimp mayo came out at just that moment—it was delicious. Everything was freshly prepared, the fish was very fresh, and every dish tasted better than typical buffet food—I felt like I could burst from how full I got! After that, there were several types of hot baths available. There were also plenty of skincare items as well as shampoo and conditioner treatments—such attentive service. One small thing that made me especially happy: instead of just one bath towel per person in the room, towels were also provided at each large public bath/hot spring area. With only one towel you tend not to try multiple baths, so that thoughtful touch was wonderful. At night there was also unlimited alcohol and ice cream—I stayed happy even after getting out of the bath… The breakfast buffet had handmade smoothies; you can make your own seafood bowl; plus both Japanese- and Western-style options—I ended up completely stuffed again in the morning (lol). After checkout it was pouring rain, but they even lent us umbrellas for walking to the parking lot. The service remained courteous until the very end—we were extremely satisfied! It’s a place I’d love to visit again!

I stayed here with my mother and my 7-month-old son. The property was very clean, and the staff member in charge of our room kindly assisted us from the initial guidance through to serving our meals. All of the staff greeted us pleasantly, and it was a warm, welcoming inn that made us want to come back. There was a massage chair in the room, which I really appreciated. I also thought it was great that there were so many facilities to enjoy, such as a kids’ space, a private family bath, a cypress footbath, and a hot stone sauna. The large public bath was uncrowded most of the time, so we were able to enjoy an early-morning bath without any crowds. The food was delicious—especially the udon at dinner. It was so good that we even looked for something similar at the souvenir shop before heading home. The tea sweets provided in the room were also excellent, and I bought some to take home. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here to celebrate my parents’ golden wedding anniversary, as my mother had long wished to stay in a room with an ocean view. First of all, our room was right in front of the elevator. Since we had mentioned that my father has difficulty walking, I believe they thoughtfully arranged it to minimize the strain on him. The food was surprisingly delicious—every dish—and the staff were wonderful. The room, bath, and toilet were all spotless, and we could feel thoughtful attention to detail throughout; it truly is a fantastic hotel. Although the weather wasn’t great, we were completely satisfied. Next time, we’d love to come back on a sunny day for a retry! Thank you very much.

This was our first time staying at a Hotel affiliated with Ooedo Onsen! Due to our schedule, we checked in late and could only get a dinner Reservation for 8:30 PM, but we had plenty of fun in the meantime—playing table tennis as a family and enjoying the Onsen. The kids were thrilled! At night, we borrowed UNO and had a great time together. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent—the sushi and steak were amazing! Everyone went back for multiple bowls of seafood rice bowls in the morning. The Facility is a bit old, and the air conditioner was quite loud, but the overall enjoyment more than made up for it. The Room was very spacious too. We’d love to stay again!

This was my second stay. The food already has an excellent reputation, and everything I tried was truly delicious—especially the desserts. I’ve had many buffet-style meals before, and this is my No. 1. The financiers served in the lounge as a late-night snack were also very tasty. The baths go without saying. I also appreciated that the service wasn’t overbearing. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

It felt just like a nostalgic Ryokan, and I was able to relax at a very leisurely pace. The bath was also very pleasant, and I was satisfied with the wide variety of breakfast options.

I loved both the hot springs and the meals. I tried several other hot springs as well, but this one was the best. The newly renovated wood-grain bath was wonderful, and the open-air bath was especially relaxing. The meals—both dinner and breakfast—were far more generous and higher quality than expected. Everything felt wholesome and well-balanced, with natural dishes throughout. Even after eating a lot, I didn’t feel heavy or get heartburn—I could tell my body truly appreciated it. This is a hot spring inn I’d love to visit again.
