I sincerely apologize for my late thank-you. This was our second stay. The front desk location had changed since last time, so I was a little confused at first. After we arrived, you upgraded us from Room KOURAI 202 to Room NOMATSU 403, which was an unexpected and wonderful offer, and we were truly delighted. As it’s the most popular among the staff, it was very spacious, with a beautiful view of the garden from both the bath and the Room—an exceptionally comfortable and calming place to spend time. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and since there was only one other group besides us, we were able to dine in a relaxed atmosphere as well. We also enjoyed visiting nearby Japanese sweets shops—it was great fun. We were deeply moved by how beautifully you filled in our travel memory book too. Done—we will definitely be back again. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

We stayed as a couple for sightseeing. It was in a great location, within walking distance of Iga Ueno Castle. We chose the plan with dinner and breakfast included. Dinner was a Hanakago set meal with kama-meshi, but since I can’t eat chicken, I asked about it and was told it was chicken kama-meshi; they kindly prepared it without chicken, which was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was also delicious—especially the curry. The restaurant was spacious as well, so we could relax and enjoy our meal. If we have another opportunity, we’d like to stay again next time with our family.

Getting there was challenging because we had to transfer between the Shinkansen and Kintetsu lines, but it was a Hotel well worth the trip. The menu featured local vegetables, eggs, fish, and meat, and we enjoyed a feast you can only experience here. The sauna was also great. We could truly feel the sincere hospitality of everyone working there, which warmed our hearts. It’s a Hotel we would love to visit again.

Although it was on the way to Toba and Ise, we enjoyed Iga Ueno Castle and the ninja show for the first time. The Hotel was also convenient from Osaka via Route 163 with no expressway tolls. For some reason, at 3:00 pm the first parking lot was full, so we parked in the third parking lot. I wished there had been a priority area for guests. The bath was shared with day-use visitors, but it was relaxing. I also wanted to use the sauna in the morning. Meals were comfortable because seating was assigned. The service at the restaurant, front desk, and bath area was excellent, and we had a pleasant stay.

The meals were delicious. The coffee service was also helpful. Although it is an artificial Onsen, it warmed my body and allowed me to relax.

We stayed for two nights and three days with the aim of relaxing without making any plans. It was me, two friends, and our dog. There are several types of Onsen, and there is also an in-room bath, so it feels reassuring for those who prefer to bathe privately. Surrounded by mountain greenery, we were able to rest peacefully without being woken at night by voices or noise. We could laugh out loud because our own voices wouldn’t carry to anyone else. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, beautifully presented, and came with dessert—so we were full and happy. Dinner focused on meat while breakfast centered on fish, which made the meals nicely varied. The staff were cheerful and kind. The owner provided Shuttle Service to the station and to Shijuhachi Falls, which made our stay feel warm and relaxing. We would love to stay again in the future. Thank you very much.

I stay here about once every three months. Breakfast had increased by 200 yen and was 1,000 yen. Since there is a Lawson nearby, I bought breakfast at Lawson.

A year ago, due to heavy rain, we had to cancel our stay. Amid the lingering summer heat, we revisited after a year. This time, we had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful accommodation for one day. Renting an entire house with a view of Nara's mountains as the backdrop to the dry landscape garden, enjoying an evening beer was the perfect way to conclude summer. For dinner, there was a variety of alcoholic beverages available, and the shabu-shabu by the hearth was absolutely delicious. At night, gazing at a sky full of stars marked the end of our day. Knowing that this accommodation is run by your family made it feel very warm and welcoming during our stay. It was such happiness to spend a day doing nothing but relaxing peacefully— a truly special experience at Sasayuri-an. Thank you so much! We will definitely return again!

I stayed for a 4-night, 5-day Multiple Night Stay. The room was clean and well maintained, and the relatively new unit bath with strong water pressure made my stay very comfortable. The breakfast selection wasn’t large, but everything was delicious.

I had the pleasure of revisiting the enchanting Sasayuri-an. After an unforgettable experience at "Kozuno," this time I stayed in another building, "Zao." About a month ago, I was fortunate to connect with Sasayuri-an and was deeply touched by the warmth of the owners. Since then, I eagerly anticipated my return. My expectations were high due to my previous wonderful stay, but this visit exceeded them in every way. The moment we stepped inside, everyone let out a gasp of awe—it felt like stepping into another world. This 150-year-old traditional thatched-roof house is a perfect blend of historical beauty and modern comfort, truly a hidden gem. The stunning terraced rice fields visible through the windows and the star-filled night sky created an extraordinary atmosphere. The space is both majestic and refined yet evokes a nostalgic sense of comfort. Above all, the exceptional hospitality from the owners provided deep relaxation. The owner's passion for detail is evident everywhere—from beams relocated from a 400-year-old structure to speakers once used by Ryuichi Sakamoto—making every conversation with him fascinating and inspiring. Despite visiting in February's cold weather, thoughtful touches like fireplaces, discreetly placed air conditioners that preserve aesthetic harmony, and oil heaters along hallways ensured warmth throughout this spacious accommodation. The owner also practices as a Yamabushi (mountain ascetic) alongside managing his business. During our stay, we had rare opportunities to experience waterfall meditation and fire rituals under his guidance while enjoying stories about Shugendo around an irori hearth—a truly memorable experience! Evenings were spent chatting by irori flames or soaking in herbal baths within cypress tubs to unwind completely; mornings began with delicious coffee paired with breathtaking views of Japan’s timeless rural landscape—a blissful retreat indeed. Sasayuri-an offers an unparalleled escape from urban chaos where both mind and body can rejuvenate fully—a genuinely special place worth cherishing forever! Although we rarely revisit accommodations multiple times ourselves here feels different; it’s somewhere precious enough always wanting return alongside loved ones again someday soon! With facilities such as pizza ovens BBQ setups campfire areas ready springtime glamping plans already excite us looking forward next visit ahead!

It was very close to the entrance of Akame 48 Waterfalls, making it extremely convenient for walking and exploring. The building is old, but the furniture and interior are refined and do not feel rustic. The food was also delicious. We went by car, and there is a steep slope in front of the Accommodation, so it’s best to drive carefully there. Some parts of the road on the way are narrow, but they are well maintained, so as long as you watch out for oncoming cars, there should be no problem.

I had a comfortable stay. It’s not luxurious, but it feels like a compact and smart Hotel. The Simmons bed made for a great night’s sleep.

The facility seemed to offer a wide range of sports on its spacious grounds. I chose this hotel because it was much cheaper than others and close to the mountain I wanted to climb the next morning, without knowing much about it beforehand. However, both the Onsen and the room had a very relaxing atmosphere, allowing me to unwind comfortably. I was also delighted to find oden being sold in front of the reception desk.
