Last year, when our whole family gathered for a homecoming, we stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The meals and the Facility were excellent, and above all, the warm hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff was outstanding. We were able to spend truly memorable time with my elderly mother and uncle, our dog, and the children. We stayed in two types of Rooms: two family groups in pet-friendly Rooms, and my mother’s group in a Japanese-style Room with an open-air bath. Both Rooms were spotless, well stocked with amenities, and very comfortable. For dinner, we enjoyed Saga beef at a relaxed pace with in-room dining. The Onsen was also incredibly soothing—soft water typical of Furu-yu, pleasantly lukewarm at body temperature—along with a sauna with great views. We used to enjoy trying different places each year, but everyone agreed to return to Suginoya again this year. We would love to come back again next year as well. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

This was our seventh stay. We stayed to celebrate a 60th birthday. They prepared a red celebratory vest and a congratulatory plate, which made it a wonderful memory. The meals were also very delicious. We will visit again.

I stayed here while traveling with my parents, who are over 70. The meals were incredibly delicious—excellent! The Onsen water was also wonderful. We used the private bath, and it had a lovely, atmospheric charm. The staff were kind and pleasant, and we had a very comfortable stay. However, using the stairs to get to the Room and baths seemed a bit difficult for my parents, whose legs and hips are not as strong as they used to be.

This was my first stay since the renovation. With “Smart Stay,” you can enjoy a variety of services: - Pre check-in (10-second check-in) - Priority Reservation service - In-Room payment - Check-out These thoughtful touches made it easy to relax throughout the stay. After entering the lobby, completing check-in, and leaving my luggage in the Room, I headed straight to the Onsen. Before that, I enjoyed a welcome drink. The tea- and fresh cream-based cocktails were smooth yet still had a distinct tea flavor—truly delicious. With an alkaline pH of 9.6, it’s said to be among the top five in Japan. After soaking once or twice, my skin started to feel silky smooth, as if I’d applied toner. I ended up soaking three times, including a morning bath. Since you may not notice the quality of the spring after just one soak, I recommend going in several times. Next to the bar area, there was also a coffee machine available 24 hours a day. I enjoyed it along with the cold tea provided in the in-room refrigerator. What I love most about this Hotel is the open-air bath where you can soak while listening to the river’s gentle flow. Surrounded by soothing seasonal scenery, I took my time and truly enjoyed the Onsen. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again. After check-out, I also enjoyed “Kingdom Onsen” stamp rally. Walking around the hot spring town and stopping for footbaths along the way was great fun.

I wanted to relax in a quiet place—ideally with an Onsen. That’s why I chose this Accommodation. The Room has a cypress open-air bath, and there was also a water dispenser. The Onsen is alkaline, leaving my skin smooth, which was especially welcome at this time of year. The food was delicious, and the Saga sake tasting set was great. Personally, it would be perfect if the seasoning were a little lighter, though I think it’s very well seasoned in general. Because of my bad legs, stairs are tough for me, but the handrails made it manageable. This is an Accommodation I’d like to return to.

My sister and I chose Tsukasa Ryokan for our trip. The bath is small, but the water was pleasantly lukewarm with a silky feel, so even in this hot season we could soak slowly and it felt wonderful. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious. You could tell each dish was carefully prepared. The thoughtfully made dashi came through in every dish, and both dinner and breakfast were so good that it made us truly happy. The proprietress and all the staff were also very kind, making this a completely satisfying trip. We even said to each other that we want to come back next time as well. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

It was a gift trip from my wife to celebrate my birthday, visiting the Furuyu Onsen I had been curious about for a long time. I was very satisfied with the wonderful service of the staff and the sense of care in cleaning. Enjoyed two days of onsen to the fullest. The head chef seemed confident in fish dishes, and we were completely satisfied with everything from sashimi platters to grilled fish. We had checked reviews beforehand and were prepared for the amount of food, but as a senior couple, we were completely overwhelmed. At checkout, I was deeply moved by a surprise birthday gift from the proprietress. Thank you so much. While everything was satisfying, there are some suggestions: ○ It would be helpful if guides such as facility maps, emergency exit routes, and meal times could be compiled into a file placed in each room. ○ Since it’s easy to forget meal times for dinner and breakfast, it would be nice to receive them written on printed paper. ○ The course meals crafted by your proud head chef are delightful but quite large portions for seniors. If possible, creating a senior-friendly course with about 60% of the current portion size would be appreciated. This time I wanted to enjoy more drinks but couldn’t because I was too full! Apologies for making selfish requests like this!

We stayed on 8/3. It was our first trip to Saga and our first time at Furu-yu Onsen, and we were able to fully enjoy the Onsen and a truly delicious meal. The Facility feels a bit old and historic, but it has been nicely renovated, so we had a comfortable stay. We chose the Saga beef Plan, and both the hot stone grill and shabu-shabu were very tender and delicious. It was also great to dine in a semi-private room while enjoying the view outside. This time we requested the “Crane’s Return of Kindness Plan,” and the staff kindly accommodated us. The finished video turned out wonderfully, and my wife was so moved that she has watched it many times since we got home. They gladly responded to our requests and even suggested a surprise plan, for which we are very grateful. Furu-yu Onsen itself doesn’t seem very well known, which felt a little quiet, but it’s such a great Onsen that I’d like to recommend it to others as well. Right now, it’s especially recommended thanks to the Kingdom collaboration!

Our family of four stayed here this time. The meals were made with fresh local vegetables and fish, and everything was delicious. The Saga beef was outstanding! The Onsen was pleasantly warm, so we could soak slowly for a long time, and it left our skin smooth. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.
