As the title says, it was a great Hotel. I rated it 4 because there was no bathtub, but the shower was refreshing and left me feeling clean. If this Hotel is available on future trips, I will choose it without hesitation. Thank you.

We stayed at UKAN on the BBQ course Plan. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but they let us park from around 2:00 PM, so we could play in the sea right in front. There is a swimming beach next to the Accommodation, and it felt like it continued all the way to the front of where we stayed. It seemed safe to swim; there were quite a few people at the main beach, but right in front was quiet and mostly just for guests. The slope from sand to water is a bit steep, so small children may need extra attention, but it’s still fine to enjoy. There’s a breakwater at the edge of the swimming area where you can fish. That was our main purpose this time, and we were happy we got to enjoy fishing. The Room was generally clean. There was a stain left by previous guests that seemed to be removed around check-in time. We appreciated their effort to keep things clean, though it would have been even better if it had been finished before check-in. For the BBQ, the portions looked small based on how they were plated, so we went out to buy extra food at a convenience store—but in the end it was enough. Breakfast might feel a little light. The BBQ Facility includes a grill and table and is basically sufficient, but better lighting, table settings, and an improved BBQ area layout would likely increase satisfaction. As for insects, since it’s between mountains and the sea, I think it can’t really be helped. If you keep everything closed they generally don’t come in. However, because you go back and forth between the Room during BBQ time, some inevitably got inside. If insect control could be improved further, it would feel more reassuring. (I’m not too bothered by bugs, but my wife felt a bit uneasy.) The air conditioning in the Room was comfortable, but there was an odor in the washroom—maybe humidity or drainage—that bothered me. Overall we were satisfied despite these points. We’d like to stay again soon.

I stayed here during the Obon holiday. I came thinking, “The view looks nice, and as long as I can sleep well, that’s enough,” but in the best way possible, my expectations were completely exceeded. This time I stayed in a Japanese-style room before the renovation, and it felt very clean. The futon was fluffy, and above all, the view from the window was amazing. The Onsen wasn’t overly large and had a calm, relaxing atmosphere, so I was able to unwind at a leisurely pace. Most memorable of all was the warm hospitality from the wonderful owner couple and all of the staff. Of course the Accommodation itself is very comfortable, but I think what makes you want to come back is this kind of genuine warmth from people. On top of that, at check-out there was an exclusive service for guests: a photo shoot by the owner, who is also a professional photographer! The beautiful photo data were later sent by email as well—it became an unexpected and very happy memory. I also heard they are continuing to renovate parts of the building little by little even now, so it’s exciting to see how it changes with each visit. I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of Accommodation it will become in the future. Even though I went planning “just to stay overnight,” I came home with wonderful memories—including the scenery, the Onsen, and meeting such kind people. I would definitely love to visit again. *This isn’t directly related to Hotel services, but please note that the entrance from the street can be a bit hard to find, and some parts of the road leading up to this Accommodation are narrow. If you’re coming by car, it may help to drive carefully on your way here.*

Dinner was outstanding! Every dish served was delicious. I’d love to have the octopus steak and the simmered clams again. The mozuku seaweed was a variety I don’t usually see, and the recommended “Gyorokke” was also very satisfying. It’s an Accommodation for food lovers that I’d like to visit again.

From the hostess’s warm welcome to the stunning third-floor Room and terrace with exceptional views. The Room has windows on three sides. Open the door and you’re greeted by a view of Cape Shionomisaki. A terrace where you can enjoy both sunset and sunrise. Every dish was delicious—we ordered two servings each of the meat course and the fish course, and ended up overeating. I was a bit surprised that access to the Room was via an outdoor staircase I hadn’t expected, but once you come down the stairs, Cape Shionomisaki is right in front of you. If it had been raining, getting around might have been tough, but luckily the rain from the previous day had cleared, temperatures rose, and my mood soared too. The bath is not an Onsen, but while it shows its age, it was clean and felt well maintained. Another thing I loved was the “duvet cover.” It felt so nice that I want to find one for home—I wish I’d asked what brand it was. The Room itself was so comfortable, and it was great to just zone out while gently swaying in the hammock.

We stayed as a family with our 3-year-old and 1-year-old grandchildren. Dinner featured an abundant selection of seafood, all fresh and delicious, and both my wife and daughter were very satisfied. Being able to enjoy the meal at a relaxed pace in our Room helped the children stay calm, and we were able to spend unhurried time together as a family. In addition, we are truly grateful to the staff member who was very kind to the children and proactively supported us. Thanks to that, we felt at ease throughout our stay. This Accommodation is highly recommended for families. *There are rental bicycles near the Accommodation, and it was also a wonderful memory being able to cycle down to the seaside in the morning to take photos. We enjoyed quiet Kamakura in the early morning—it was such a refreshing time.* Thank you very much.

At check-in, the parking guidance didn’t feel very smooth. Because the guidance wasn’t in time, several cars were waiting in front of the Hotel. Although an overflow parking area was provided, some guests left their cars there and went to check in, which caused congestion in front of the Hotel. Considering traffic flow, I would have preferred to be directed to the parking area first.

The machiya-style Accommodation was wonderful. The bathroom was clean and easy to use, and the bed was fluffy, so I slept very well. The sea is nearby, and the quiet, charming streetscape made it a relaxing place to stay. The stairs were steep and a little scary, but it also added to the machiya atmosphere, which I appreciated.

We stayed here during summer vacation with three generations of our family. They arranged our Rooms next to each other and emailed us the meal times in advance, so we felt at ease even before our stay. When we arrived, the staff were very courteous. The view from the window was amazing!!! I thought the meal might be too much, but it was delicious and we enjoyed everything all the way to dessert. The pineapple pudding dessert was especially tasty. When we told them we were going to Inuyama Castle the next day, they printed a map of the area for us and also helped set up table tennis—thank you so much. The Facility is a little old, but our satisfaction more than made up for it!! We would definitely like to stay again.

We took a ferry with our rental car to Mukaishima. While the uphill approach was a bit challenging as expected, the view of Onomichi Channel and the town's nightscape from the Room and bath exceeded all expectations! The staff were friendly, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful and pleasant evening.

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The receptionist's warm and cheerful demeanor made our entire family feel at ease. The area has a youthful vibe with nearby convenience stores, restaurants, and souvenir shops, yet it was quiet at night, making our stay completely stress-free. Being so close to the beach was incredibly convenient—we could easily return even after a late-night visit. There’s also a foot-washing station nearby, which made things super handy after spending time by the sea. It was so comfortable that I’d love to live here! Enoshima is within walking distance as well, making it an excellent choice for long-term stays.

The terrace was spacious, and the late check-out time allowed us to enjoy a relaxing morning sipping coffee while gazing at the sea. The room was clean and perfectly sized for two people. However, we felt a bit hesitant about using the jacuzzi on the terrace, so we decided not to use it this time. As mentioned in other reviews, parking was quite challenging, especially since we had an MT car, which made it a bit more difficult. Other than that, everything was wonderful. It made us want to stay longer next time! We also appreciated the coffee, tea, snacks, and popcorn provided—they were such a nice touch. Thank you for giving us such a lovely experience!

Very warm welcome from hotel staff, fantastic view from the balcony, comfortable stay and definitely will come back

In addition to the splendid golden eye snapper, the sashimi and other dishes were also delicious and we really enjoyed them. The pudding was great too, but my personal favorite was the quiche. The owner, the hostess, and all the staff were kind and attentive. The Nekomatagi Championship was also fun. We were able to use the bath whenever we wanted for the most part. The guestbook mentioned facial lotion, but it wasn’t available in the bath area, so it would be even better if it were provided. With handmade town guides and other thoughtful touches, we felt a lot of warmth. It was a busy weekend trip, but a truly relaxing stay.

This was our second visit to this glamping site. Being able to enjoy glamping with no preparation and light luggage is a huge plus for those without camping experience, and the Facility felt clean overall, making it comfortable and reassuring for everyone from children to adults. Each Room dome has its own concept; the color schemes were beautiful and the amenities were well equipped. There were a mini fridge, electric kettle, instant coffee/tea/green tea, air conditioning/heating, plug-in insect repellent, a Bluetooth speaker, outlets with USB ports, blankets, a hanging rack, an external toilet & shower room (strong water pressure, adjustable temperature settings, and a washlet toilet), as well as a BBQ space. We chose the Plan with dinner and breakfast included. Everything was extremely delicious—and there was more than enough food. At night (depending on the weather) there was also a campfire option, which really added to the camping atmosphere. For future improvements, I’d love to see more activity options such as bamboo dragonfly toys or cup-making using bamboo; an athletic play area; seasonal events like fireworks or water-gun games; snowball fights or roasted sweet potatoes; or hands-on experiences like working in nearby rice fields or vegetable gardens. There is also a simple lookout platform in the bamboo grove that I don’t think was there last year. If the weather and timing are right, you can apparently see the ocean, townscape, and sunset from there. Outdoor voices tend to carry slightly into the domes, so I felt guests may need to be mindful of each other at night. The free-drink area was relatively close by and convenient to use. The beach is nearby as well—an ideal place if you simply want to relax. They also offered free rentals such as badminton sets and board/card games. We would love to come again.

It feels a bit old, but that’s part of the charm. The Onsen was amazing! I could drink as much beer as I wanted, enjoy plenty of snacks, and relax in a calm atmosphere. It truly felt like we were visiting right in the middle of nature, which was fantastic. This time we planned a 6-day trip, and I’m glad we started on day one at this Accommodation!!

This was my third visit to Itoshima, the first in two years. Last time, after heavy rain the day before, it suddenly turned into a midsummer day, and the breathtaking sunset—changing moment by moment against the vast ocean—was truly moving. I enjoyed delicious food and the relaxed pace that only an all-inclusive stay can offer. This time had a different atmosphere and some changes. Arriving in a downpour with luggage, I climbed the stone steps to check in. What surprised me right away was “10:00 checkout”! I never expected it to be an hour earlier—maybe a pitfall of being a repeat guest? I was told it was changed because lunch service starts at 11:00 with reservations… but 10:00 still feels far too early. Since we spend about four hours round trip for an overnight stay, we want to relax as much as possible. If possible, I hope you will consider setting check-in to 16:00 and returning checkout to 11:00—I would be glad if this request from repeat guests reaches you. This time we dined while watching the post-rain evening scenery, and the food was just as delicious as ever—I was very satisfied. The soup course in particular had wonderful Japanese dashi flavor and was deeply comforting, and the tempura made from fresh squid (prepared after sashimi) was especially appreciated; as someone who loves cooking at home, having a professional fry dishes is a real treat. It was also disappointing not to see any of the staff members from previous visits. The photo shows “Itoshima Bay—an evening view after the rain.”

We were worried about the outdoor pool in the extreme heat, but the sea breeze kept it cool and our grandchildren enjoyed it. Snow crab was served at dinner, which surprised everyone since it was summer. They also grilled steak for us, and it was delicious. The watermelon was sweet, and there were also chocolate fondue and ice cream. The breakfast buffet was wonderful too, especially while enjoying the ocean view. We would love to stay again.

Having had a great impression last time, I decided to return after several years, and my positive feelings have only grown. First, the accommodation is impeccably maintained and cleaned in every corner, making for a very pleasant stay. This level of care is not easy to achieve. The meals are heartfelt and allow you to fully enjoy the bounty of the sea. Additionally, while the panoramic bath with an ocean view is not an onsen, it can be enjoyed in the morning as well and was spotlessly clean. The guest rooms and bedding are simple as it is a guesthouse, but yukata robes and bath towels are provided. It may not suit those seeking luxury ryokan services; however, for travelers looking for an enjoyable trip at a reasonable price, I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation.

All I can express is my gratitude. Even though it was our first visit, we were touched by your thoughtful attention to every detail, the surprise celebration for our wedding anniversary, and the many people who helped us at the pool. My husband can swim but has difficulty walking, and we truly felt warmly welcomed. In the evening, we dined at Restaurant Sefino. Most guests seemed to be visiting from outside, but if you stay here, it would be a shame to miss dining at this restaurant. It was a truly memorable experience.
