We stayed with two families (six people). The Facility was clean and well equipped, and we had a comfortable stay. We would love to stay again!

I stayed here last October, and this was my second visit. It’s a new, clean Ryokan, and both the proprietress and the staff were very pleasant. The meals were full of seafood, and I was completely satisfied. However, the changing area in the bath was cold, and the floor there was also cold. The bathwater in the tub was lukewarm as well, so I didn’t feel very warmed up, which was disappointing.

Since it was a No Meals Included plan, we were able to stay at a very reasonable price, and we could also use the wonderful dog run and pool. Throughout the Hotel, we could feel the staff’s kindness and consideration toward dogs, which made our stay very comfortable.

Four close grandma friends stayed here together. The staff were attentive while keeping a comfortable distance, which made our stay very pleasant. The meals were just right in both quality and portion size. For breakfast, the sashimi we couldn’t finish at dinner was served as marinated fish, and there was also fish with a savory sauce; we took our time and enjoyed every bite. The hostess’s stage performance was fun as well—this is an Accommodation we’d love to visit again and again.

For sightseeing around Hakone and Lake Ashi, the location is convenient. The building itself is a bit old, but it has an Onsen and the pricing is reasonable. I stayed with dinner and breakfast included, and the portions were very generous—I was completely full. On weekdays, it seems to be run by one person, but he was a friendly gentleman. Thank you for treating me to wine as well.

The dog run is incredibly spacious—and beautifully maintained! It felt like a waste with just one miniature dachshund. The BBQ facilities are amazing too. It was a very windy day, but we had no worries at all. The food was great and delicious. The Room was just right, and it was very convenient that the bathroom, washbasin area, and toilet were separate. It’s close to Lake Biwa, and it felt like a private beach—looked like you could even swim there. We’ll definitely be back! We’re also looking forward to the camp site and RV site opening soon. In 2025, I visited Okinawa four times and stayed at different condo vacation rentals each time. However, my stay at Doka Doka was the best, so I decided to return here for my year-end visit. During this second stay, I noticed various thoughtful touches from the perspective of guests that I hadn't realized during my first visit. It made me feel that this place is the perfect choice for future stays. While many "Instagrammable Rooms" are introduced all over Okinawa, I've often felt they lack consideration for actual guest needs when staying there. This includes kitchen facilities, cooking utensils, bathrooms, or even how doors open and close—small details but noticeable nonetheless. It seems like those managing such facilities may not have actually stayed in their own rooms themselves. On the other hand, it feels like whoever designed this place considered everything from a personal user’s perspective because nothing is lacking here. (The bathroom doesn't have a reheating function for baths; hence my rating of 4 stars in that regard—but it's not something I'd ask to be changed as it’s perfectly fine as is.) It may not be highly "Instagrammable," but it offers more than enough comfort if your goal is to live like a local during your stay. The beautiful Yachimun pottery provided adds an extra touch of joy when preparing meals in the kitchen. The café breakfast experience was also wonderful—staff were very kind and accommodating with generous portions served. The scenery was stunning while the gentle music and atmosphere inside uplifted our morning mood beautifully. I’m already looking forward to visiting again next time! Thank you very much!

We were looking for an Accommodation to visit Izumo Taisha, and chose this place because we loved the style—like staying in a private villa—and the interior design. The interior is, of course, wonderful, and it’s so comfortable that rather than filling your schedule with plans, we recommend spending a relaxing time at the Accommodation. Experiencing the owner’s warm personality and hospitality made our trip many times more special and memorable. The Accommodation itself feels like a true power spot. That thoughtful attention shows in every detail: every Room was spotless and cozy, and our stay was deeply relaxing. It was such a lovely Accommodation that it naturally made us think, “We want to stay again.”

Everything was wonderful—10/10!! First of all, the Room was lovely and spotless. It had a washer and dryer, hangers for drying laundry, a fan, insect spray—everything you could hope for was perfectly provided. The refrigerator was stocked with plenty of drinks. We gratefully enjoyed them. The hair dryer was a ReFa, which made me even more excited. The shampoo and conditioner were also high quality. For breakfast, we had a vegetable-packed salad, bread, soup, fruit, and more. It was delicious. Even after check-out, they kindly listened to our requests. This is truly an outstanding Accommodation. I’m already worried that if it becomes too popular, I won’t be able to make a Reservation... It rained heavily the whole time, so I’d love to visit again—next time I hope to see a beautiful sunset and the stars.

We stayed here last year with our dog and loved it so much that we came back again this year. Our dog had the freedom to play in the garden dog run, and the BBQ while listening to the sound of the waves was amazing. The sunset was beautiful, and from the back door you can reach the beach in no time. We even received a souvenir when we checked out. We’ll definitely be back!

I stayed here to see the sagaribana just before the typhoon. This was my second visit. The hosts’ warm, unpretentious hospitality is wonderful—it really makes you feel like you’ve come to the island. The stars in the night sky were beautiful, almost unbelievable with a typhoon approaching. I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was clean, and the living space was just the right size. The rate was comparable to a Business Hotel, so I decided to stay without hesitation. Like a condominium, it has a kitchen area, a washing machine, and separate bath and toilet facilities, so I felt it would be convenient even for long-term stays. I would like to use it again.

When we suddenly decided to go to Shirahama, everywhere was fully booked and we were struggling to find a place. This Accommodation had availability and great reviews, so we made a Reservation. The only Room available was one on the top floor, and it was more than spacious enough for our family of three, yet reasonably priced. The Accommodation itself felt like a family-run place—somewhere between a small Hotel, a Ryokan, and a guesthouse. Both the foreign staff member at the front desk and the elderly person who showed us around were very kind, offering warm hospitality. The refrigerator was a standard type with separate fridge and freezer compartments, so we could buy ice cream at the convenience store and bring it back. There were also complimentary bottled waters in the fridge for each of us. There is no large public bath, but the in-room bath was like a typical home bathroom, with two types of shower heads. The hair dryer was Panasonic and worked fine. I also appreciated that the sleepwear was separated into top and bottom rather than yukata-style robes. One slight downside was finding some hair in the bathroom, tatami room, and bedroom. Since the Room was generally clean otherwise, I personally felt this was within an acceptable range. Also, the provided drinks were black tea (Ceylon tea) rather than green tea. I would have liked Japanese tea—and even instant coffee would have been nice. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it’s very convenient since Shirarahama Beach and convenience stores are just a short walk away.

The terrace was spacious, and the late check-out time allowed us to enjoy a relaxing morning sipping coffee while gazing at the sea. The room was clean and perfectly sized for two people. However, we felt a bit hesitant about using the jacuzzi on the terrace, so we decided not to use it this time. As mentioned in other reviews, parking was quite challenging, especially since we had an MT car, which made it a bit more difficult. Other than that, everything was wonderful. It made us want to stay longer next time! We also appreciated the coffee, tea, snacks, and popcorn provided—they were such a nice touch. Thank you for giving us such a lovely experience!

My return from the airport was late, so I stayed at a Hotel about 30 minutes before reaching home. I expected a beautiful, clean Hotel based on the photos, but it was even nicer in person, and the Room was spacious. The breakfast was so delicious that I was truly impressed. The view was great too, and I was happy to find such a hidden-gem Hotel so close by. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet; it was an amazing meal made by the owner—an egg served on top of incredibly delicious bread. I’ll definitely come again!

Our family of three, including our second-grade daughter, stayed here after a day at the beach. We really appreciated being able to use the washing machine and drying area. There’s a convenience store nearby, and Sunset Beach is just a short walk away—it was truly beautiful and moving. Kamo Aquarium is also close by, and it’s about a 40-minute drive to Dewa Sanzan, making the location very convenient. We were very satisfied with the meals as well, and would love to stay again.

This was my first time staying here, and thank you very much for your thoughtful care in every detail. The Room was very clean, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. It was so pleasant that I naturally felt like, “I should leave it clean when I go.” Thanks to you, I was able to refresh both body and mind, and I left feeling truly energized. We had a wonderful, relaxing time with our dog. The Room was clean and comfortable, and we loved being able to enjoy the private Onsen whenever we wanted. The staff were kind and helpful, so we felt at ease throughout our stay. Our whole family was able to unwind with our dog, making it a truly enjoyable experience. It also became a great summer vacation memory for our children, and we would love to stay again. Thank you for such a lovely time.

I stayed at the accommodation again this year following last year. The owner warmly said, "Welcome back," and I found myself replying, "I'm back." In the morning, I enjoyed a walk on the private beach right in front of the accommodation, basking in the sunrise and searching for shells. At night, I spent time on the rooftop gazing at the star-filled sky, experiencing a lifestyle I can't usually enjoy. Breakfast was different every morning, and opening the delivered basket became something to look forward to. I highly recommend reserving dinner during your stay. The owner and chef remembered our conversations from last year and even improved upon the ingredients we praised, offering the best hospitality, delicious meals, and enjoyable conversations. This stay gave me the opportunity to reflect on my approach to work, relationships with others, and daily life, making it a truly wonderful vacation. Thank you very much.
