A luxurious Facility where extraordinary koi swim. We were able to enjoy a sand bath, a ceramic bath experience, and a private open-air bath at no additional charge. All staff were kind and provided attentive service. The Japanese cuisine served at the Yakusugi cedar counter was exquisite, with tropical fruits used throughout that were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious. The entire property was spotless and impeccably maintained, and the star-filled sky we gazed at late at night from the free-flowing natural hot spring open-air bath in our room was beyond words.

On our first visit, we were truly impressed by the meals, the Room, and everyone’s warm service and smiles, so we returned again this summer vacation. We also love the loungewear and amenities, and we can genuinely relax both physically and mentally throughout our stay. Each time, we enjoy chatting with the chef while savoring the delicious food. The menu always delights all five senses, leaving us completely satisfied every time. The rental car is also always well maintained, which gives us peace of mind. In the wonderful space created by the owners, we were able to spend a truly relaxing and restorative time. We arrived after climbing the slope of Mt. Daisen for a while in light rain and mist. Seeing the word “Church,” we hesitated for a moment, but when we opened the wooden lobby door, we found a charming space unified in an antique style—like stepping into a Kenji Miyazawa story. You can truly feel how much the owner couple and staff value and care for their guests. Once shown to our room, the fog gradually lifted, revealing beautiful views of Yonago’s cityscape in the distance, along with the Sea of Japan and Lake Nakaumi. The open-air bath on the terrace was pure luxury, soaking while taking in the spectacular scenery. Dinner was exceptional both in presentation and taste. We also enjoyed chatting with the dining staff, and the timing of each course was perfect. In this quiet natural setting, we spent blissful time that felt well beyond its price. I stayed here for one night during a 3-night, 4-day trip. The buffet was tastier than at the other accommodations I stayed at, and the portion size was just right. When visiting by motorcycle, posting on social media came with a complimentary drink. The Facility feels a bit dated, but I recommend it for touring.

I took a bus from Tokyo Station, got off at Highway Oasis Furari, and walked a little over 20 minutes. The road is somewhat difficult to walk on, but it’s not a busy street. Bath: Private-use only, with an indoor bath and an open-air bath as a set. It was clean, a comfortable size, and the water temperature wasn’t too hot—really nice. Room: Traditional Japanese-style. The futon was already laid out, so I relaxed and lounged around. There’s also a toilet and washbasin. I visited on a very humid day, so there was that distinctive tatami-room scent—nostalgic. And since there were shoji screens, I naturally woke up with the morning light. Meals: Absolutely amazing—just as rumored. Everything tasted great. It was my first time trying squid-leg croquettes, and they were delicious. Breakfast had lots of options too, and I ended up getting seconds of rice without thinking. The after-meal coffee was also excellent. The sea is close by as well; I went before breakfast and started the day feeling refreshed. Overall, this Accommodation is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy lots of fish dishes. Everyone greeted me with smiles, so I could relax comfortably and freely throughout my stay. It was a wonderful night. Dinner is served to just three parties at this inn with only three rooms. You might imagine a quiet, lonely atmosphere—but what filled the space was lively conversation. “It’s the Mid-Autumn Moon tonight, so we’ll dim the lights,” said the mother. When she opened the door, you could hear waves loud enough to rival any background music; beyond the terrace, moonlight shimmered on the sea, with fishing boats’ lights in the distance. On our table were various handmade dishes prepared by the whole family. Everyone moved cheerfully between kitchen and dining room, while happy conversations flowed among guests. The father’s Japanese cuisine—after training at a long-established sushi restaurant near Akebonobashi and running a sushi minshuku in Kamogawa with his wife for over 30 years—and French dishes from their son, who returned home after 11 years of training at Hotel New Otani. Even the porcini mushrooms were locally sourced. “Destination restaurant” may be today’s buzzword, but for me this place suits me better—and makes me want to come back more—than certain well-known spots deep in Toyama’s mountains or in Nirasaki. Reservations are easy to get, and it’s only a 90-minute drive from central Tokyo.

I stayed here with my child. The building blends beautifully into a quiet, peaceful town, and its wonderful atmosphere instantly soothed both body and mind after a long day of walking. The food was delicious, the Onsen water was silky-smooth, the staff were great, everything in the fridge was free, and the price was reasonable. The view was beautiful and very relaxing. Also, since I love drinks, I was thrilled by the wide selection of rice shochu... Thank you very much! I’ll definitely visit again.

This was my first stay. With only three groups per day, it’s a private pet-friendly Accommodation with a gentle, welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine was excellent, as you’d expect from a Ryokan—especially the sesame tofu and soba. Meals were served in a private dining room. Our dog happily ate the dog pizza. We stayed in the “Kuu-chan” tatami Room on the first floor, which felt a bit too spacious, but it was comfortable with no odors. The bath was a private reservable bath assigned to each Room. Since we visited in August, it was too hot outside to do much. We heard bears may appear around places like Enakyo Gorge. One downside was that a belly band (manner belt) is required inside the Room.
