I made a Reservation because I wanted to go snowboarding. The free Shuttle Service to several ski resorts was very convenient. The Onsen and Room were clean, and the meals were luxurious with all-you-can-drink alcohol. The price of around 10,000 yen is an incredible deal. It truly turned into an enjoyable trip. Staying at this Hotel makes you not want to stay at any other Hotel. Thank you very much!

This was my first time staying at this Ryokan, and I loved the atmosphere and the view from the Room. The staff were wonderful, and the hostess’s hospitality was especially impressive. Every dish was delicious; my favorite was the clear soup, which I would love to enjoy again if I have the chance.

It was a wonderful Ryokan in every respect—hospitality, open-air bath, and meals. I would stay here again.

We added an all-you-can-drink Plan. We were very satisfied with the delicious selection of drinks. All the staff were also very friendly and pleasant.

I chose this Hotel because it was very reasonably priced and the buffet looked great. It’s close to the highway bus stop, and it’s also close to the bus stop for buses back to Hakodate Station. This time we stayed in a Japanese-style room with a partial ocean view, and it even had a wooden-floored area—spacious enough that it felt almost too big for three people. There were no steps, and the toilet and shower room were clean. The buffet was excellent: crab, of course, plus beef tendon curry, handmade fried shrimp and shrimp mayo, and an unusual but delicious ohagi dessert. I’m more of a bread person, and the breakfast bread selection was wide-ranging, high quality, and very tasty. We stayed two nights, but the food was so good that we never got tired of it. I also appreciated having mineral water in the refrigerator. Since this is a popular Hotel that gets crowded with groups and families with children, I think you can stay comfortably by checking in early or adjusting your timing slightly for meals or the baths. The building is spacious, with various well-designed Facilities such as a lounge where you can enjoy good coffee and play areas. There are elevators for each of the four buildings as well, so we had a fun stay without any stress. Rather than cold service rigidly following chain-Hotel manuals, we felt warm hospitality throughout that was fairly flexible depending on the situation. I visit Hakodate often, and compared with staying at Hotels around Hakodate Station area, I was more satisfied staying at this Hotel—so I’d like to stay here again.

The Onsen is wonderful. The views from the Room, lobby, and Onsen are full of nature and very relaxing. The building seems old, but it has been well maintained and was clean. The staff were all cheerful and greeted us warmly in clear voices, which felt great and made us smile too. It was also fun to try making our own jingisukan and kama-meshi for the first time. This is a reasonably priced Onsen Hotel that you can truly enjoy—I highly recommend it.

I’ve traveled to Tochigi many times, but this was my first visit to Yunishigawa Onsen. When choosing an Accommodation, the open-air Onsen and the meals were especially appealing. After arriving, I took a moment to relax with a cold welcome drink and a refreshingly cool towel—perfect for the heat. Once shown to my Room, I was soothed by the view from the window: mountains and a river. Dinner was served in a private room with an irori hearth, where many dishes were laid out. Over the hearth, various ingredients such as venison, beef, chicken, and yamame trout were grilled. We also enjoyed “isshobera”: minced chicken and crushed walnuts mixed into flavorful miso, spread onto a bamboo spatula and grilled, then placed on rice. Everything was truly delicious and beautiful to look at as well. For breakfast, we had piping-hot tofu made right in front of us along with many small side dishes—so filling even in the morning. Next time I’d love to visit during the autumn foliage season to enjoy a different view, so I hope to stay again when I return.

It was a wonderful Accommodation. The staff’s service was very pleasant and made us feel truly comfortable. Their efforts for guests and thoughtful hospitality felt warmly sincere. It is a wonderful Accommodation where you can truly relax. We would love to visit again if we have the chance. It was our first time staying in Nasu, and it became a lovely memory for us. In particular, the male attendant’s lighthearted talk at dinner made everyone smile and created a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you very much. We also visited for an anniversary, and we were very happy to receive such a lovely gift. In fact, we just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you again for all your kindness and care. We will cherish it and use it with gratitude.

Wearing a hat in the misty drizzle, I will never forget being able to fully enjoy the beautiful mountain stream and its free-flowing Onsen straight from the source. The abundant volume of hot water, like a geyser, was truly the height of luxury and made for an exceptional holiday. However, it was disappointing that some young people got heavily drunk in the river bath late at night and were shouting loudly, but when I reported it you responded immediately, which I appreciated. I was deeply impressed by your dedication to maintaining order at this traditional Ryokan even at the expense of sleep. I understand there are limits to judging guests in advance, but I feel it would be better to provide thorough reminders beforehand. Sorry for my blunt suggestion. I know it must be difficult with so many different kinds of guests. Still, I thought that filtering out preventable trouble as much as possible would also make things easier for your staff. After all, I want to enjoy this beautiful stream-side hot spring source in peace—and that tranquility is what makes the wonderful cuisine and Room truly shine.

Sorry for the late review, but we had such a wonderful stay that I wanted to share it. The staff were incredibly kind, and that alone made us feel we chose the right Hotel. In particular, during meals (the buffet), the staff greeted us with warm smiles and made dining truly pleasant. Of course, the food was delicious as well. The shop staff were also very welcoming. Even though it was close to closing time, we never felt rushed, and I enjoyed shopping in a relaxed way while chatting with them. As for the Facility, there was a drink bar just outside the bath area, and it was great to be able to sample small amounts of various alcoholic drinks such as beer and shochu. Our family of five stayed here, and every one of us was satisfied. Thank you very much.

I was impressed by the hospitality, the in-house services, the meals, and the breathtaking scenery that looked like a painting wherever I looked. I’m truly glad I chose this Hotel for my first stay in Hakuba. Next time, I’d love to visit this Hotel again during the autumn foliage season.

The staff’s wonderful smiles, their kind and attentive service to my mother who travels with me, delicious cuisine that delights all five senses, and an Onsen you can enjoy as much as you like whenever you like—everything about this Accommodation is consistently excellent, so we keep coming back. The Rooms are clean and comfortable with a strong sense of privacy, and each Room has a completely different atmosphere, which makes it fun to try them all. We would love to visit again in a different season.

The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and I was able to unwind and enjoy a peaceful stay. I also appreciated that it is free-flowing from the source and available 24 hours a day. The water temperature was just right, and it left my skin feeling silky smooth. We had dinner on a riverside dining platform, and it was wonderful to enjoy the scenery and the sound of the flowing river while eating. The meal was delicious and had a great seasonal feel. The staff were courteous, which made the stay very comfortable. I would love to return if I have the chance.

This was my second stay. I truly feel from the bottom of my heart that I’m so glad I found Haccho-no-Yu. Thank you always for your heartfelt hospitality. The baths and the Room are wonderful, but above all, the cuisine is exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed the many creative dishes prepared by the head chef—they were absolutely delicious. My daughter, who lives far away, was able to come home during the holiday, so we stayed on 9/20 during Silver Week. At first, we had made a Reservation at another Hotel because we planned to go grape picking in Fukushima and then travel to Morioka. However, with the typhoon making the weather uncertain, we kept considering a closer plan until the last minute. When an opening came up for a Room with an open-air bath, we quickly made a Reservation here. Since our family travels entirely by car, changing our schedule gave us extra time. We arrived early and planned to take a walk nearby, and the parking staff kindly recommended some spots for us. The footbath was very relaxing. The open-air bath in the Room does not have a washing area, but it wasn’t an issue—washing first at the large public bath or using the indoor bath in the Room was enough. Dinner and breakfast are buffet-style. When traveling as a family of four, we usually choose Accommodations with buffets, so we truly appreciate Itoen Hotel for its reasonable pricing. Some people have various opinions about the food, but if you search under the same conditions (a Room with an open-air bath), most places cost about twice as much or more than Itoen Hotel. If you’re dissatisfied, it simply means you should increase your budget. The Tsukimi Fair set dishes and—during Silver Week—the bluefin tuna and roast beef sushi were especially popular. The ramen was also delicious; since this is Fukushima, perhaps it had a Kitakata-style soup? Our family was very satisfied. Because of the typhoon’s impact, we decided to relax at the Hotel. We enjoyed soaking in the Onsen many times, eating until we were full, winning prizes in the game corner arcade area, and having fun playing table tennis—it was a wonderful stay. Since I made this Reservation in such haste, I caused trouble due to my own mistake. Also after checking out and leaving, my daughter realized something important to her was missing. When we turned back and returned to the Hotel staff immediately told us it had been found at the shop counter—this truly helped us so much. Thank you very much for your kind assistance. Lastly I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone—the person who handled my call regarding my mistake during Reservation booking as well as all staff at reception front desk parking restaurant shop housekeeping and throughout this Hotel. Free drink bar (including alcohol), plus post-bath ice bars and probiotic drinks, and manga. Amazing! The bath water quality is great, and the rooms are clean. An Onsen stream runs alongside the Hotel and is beautifully illuminated. Dinner was a buffet, and they even had meaty snow crab. I couldn’t help but overeat. A highly recommended Accommodation.

We stayed in a river-side Standard Twin. It felt like a slightly more luxurious version of Dormy Inn—keeping all the meticulous attention to detail Dormy is known for, but with extra touches of indulgence. It was fantastic. What we loved: ● The dim, forest-like atmosphere in the lobby ● The view of the river and trees from the room ● Being able to open the window and let fresh air in ● Listening to the sound of the river all night ● The in-room hinoki (cypress?) bath and Dormy-style setup that fills quickly and effortlessly ● A long, narrow room layout with the beds placed in a darker area away from the window—very calming ● A hand-grinder coffee set—wonderful ● A sink at the bar area above the fridge—amazing. First time I’ve seen this. No need to deal with leftover drinks in the bathroom area! ● Loungewear that doubles as pajamas, just like Dormy Inn—perfect. No need to bring extra clothes for inside the hotel ● An entryway where you take off your shoes before stepping into the room—nice touch ● Slightly more upscale in-room amenities (skincare/toiletries), which was a pleasant surprise ● The young woman at reception was very friendly and welcoming ● The older gentleman serving breakfast was also very kind and shared helpful information with us ● A large sofa in the room that you can really stretch out on What could be improved: ■ The window you can open for ventilation is small. When it’s hot, it doesn’t let enough air through—you’d want a larger opening for better airflow ■ Breakfast: I liked the steamed vegetables in the Western set, but I wasn’t sure why they were meant to be eaten with French dressing. They were delicious with olive oil and spice salt (served with the egg) instead ■ I would have appreciated slightly thicker bath towels ■ There are no bath towels provided at the public bath (so if you forget to bring one from your room, you’re stuck). Since we used it multiple times a day, it would be nice if there were 2–3 towels per person in each room… though given everything else they provide, I understand Overall, between the incredible view and great hot water, it was an excellent experience. It’s extremely far away—but maybe that’s exactly what makes it special. I’d love to come back.
