We stayed as a couple. The open-air bath was outstanding—easily the best among all the Onsen Accommodations we’ve stayed at. The water quality was excellent, and we were able to fully enjoy Manza Onsen’s signature milky, cloudy waters to our heart’s content. It was our first time trying a mixed-gender open-air bath, but we decided to go in together “since we were here and wanted to make a memory.” We were a little nervous at first, but it turned into a truly fun experience and an unforgettable memory for us as a couple. When I asked a staff member who was cleaning the washing area by the open-air bath, they responded very politely, and I really appreciated the kind service. The meals were more than satisfying, and the Room was spacious and comfortable—there wasn’t anything to complain about. Before staying, I thought, “At this price point, it’ll probably be about what you’d expect,” but after actually staying here, it far exceeded our expectations. It honestly felt like twice the value for money—we’re extremely satisfied. Next time, we’d love to visit in another season and enjoy these wonderful hot springs again.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. We stayed during the latter half of Golden Week, and the staff were working hard without a break. We were informed the day before that a Room was available and that we could be upgraded, which made us very happy—our children were thrilled as well. Thank you. About the building and Facility There may be mixed opinions due to aging, but for our family it was not an issue at all. The garden was also well maintained and wonderful. If you are concerned about older buildings, it might be better to choose a newer one. Meals Both dinner and breakfast are standard buffet-style meals. We have used other Accommodations in the same group as well, but here the food was replenished much faster than anywhere else, and the older female staff moved efficiently and did an excellent job. Baths Above all, being able to enjoy hot-spring hopping between two nearby buildings is fantastic. I forgot my ticket while doing the hot-spring hopping. I’m sorry for causing trouble at the main building, but they helped me without any unpleasantness, which I truly appreciated. Next time, I would like to stay at the main building as well. If you’re looking for great value for money, this Accommodation is definitely recommended.

In these times of rising prices, I truly appreciated the excellent service at such a reasonable rate. It was a wonderful Hotel. The Onsen was outstanding—I could tell it was silky-smooth and acidic. Kusatsu is amazing. Thank you, and I look forward to staying with you again.

The Facility is located toward the back of the Sumatakyo Onsen area. There are several nearby shops where you can buy souvenirs or grab a light meal, and it’s relatively close to Yume no Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge, so the location is fairly convenient. The Facility is a bit old, but clean. The Room was spacious; although it’s a Japanese-style room, it had twin beds and was very comfortable. Meals focused on local mountain specialties such as grilled river fish and wild boar hot pot, with more than enough volume to finish. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath were spacious, with free-flowing natural hot spring water. The silky-smooth Onsen water was excellent. There seemed to be a small number of staff members, but service felt efficient and to the point without being wasteful. There are two drawbacks: 1) The Wi-Fi signal is weak. We were told that “it should work in this Room” near the front desk, but it still cut out at times. In Rooms farther away, it may barely work at all. 2) Amenities in the bathing area: according to my wife, the women’s bath had items like lotion and cotton swabs, but the men’s bath did not. I’d like them to be consistent. Also, there is no switching between men’s and women’s baths during the stay.

Due to bad weather, I arrived much later than my planned check-in time, but they accommodated me. My vehicle was about the size of a microbus, but they still allowed me to park, which was a huge help. Another place refused because of my vehicle size, so I really appreciated how willingly this Accommodation handled it. For a family of four, the 10-tatami Room was very spacious, and the kids were thrilled. The Facility is a bit old... The windows are thin and you can hear outside noise easily; the sound of rain echoes pleasantly in the Room. The shower pressure in the bath was a slight downside... Other than that, I have no complaints. An Accommodation that lets you park a vehicle of my size is invaluable, so I’ll stay here again next time. Thank you very much.

As a middle-aged guest who loves Itoen Hotels, I had always wanted to stay at the main building in Ito. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. The biggest highlight was the Onsen. The free-flowing hot spring water felt like a luxury. Even in Ito Onsen, where the volume of hot spring water is abundant, I believe there are only a limited number of Accommodations that offer true free-flowing baths. The clear, gentle water was easy to soak in and warmed me through. Regarding the Room, mine was on the third floor up a staircase. As this is an older Hotel with many stairs, it may be challenging for guests with limited mobility, but it also gave me a chance to reflect on an era when things were likely less convenient than they are today. The riverside view from the Room I worked hard to reach was charming and atmospheric. As for meals and drinks, there may have been fewer options than at other Itoen group Hotels, but it was more than enough for me. The sashimi and local dishes were especially good. I also appreciated that they offered several types of sake. Another great feature of this Hotel is that guests can play the grand piano. Many Hotels have pianos but do not allow guests to touch them, so I was impressed by this service. Unfortunately, the available playing time was short and overlapped completely with dinner hours, so there was practically no time to play. To make matters worse, one male guest monopolized the piano all evening without leaving it once. It felt unfair to see many other guests lingering around the lobby who likely wanted to try it or take photos as well. Still, that issue lies with the guest rather than the Hotel—I hope they continue offering this service. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was my first time using an unmanned check-in system, but both the building and the Room were clean, and I was glad I could also use Yoshidaya’s large public bath. We chose a Plan with dinner, and the food was absolutely delicious—being able to have as much ice cream as you like after the meal was especially delightful. Great value for money and everything else as well; this is definitely an Accommodation I want to stay at again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here before with friends and had a very good impression. Since the sea is right nearby, this time I came with my daughter and grandchild. After check-in we played at the beach; the sand was clean and the water was very clear. We safely enjoyed finding crabs and clams with my fourth-grade child. The Room was also clean, and the amenities were well provided, so we had a comfortable stay. The bath was a little hot for children, so it would have been even better if there were a warmer (lower-temperature) bath as well. I would like to stay again.

The building itself felt a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable. The private bath was relaxing, and we also had the large public bath all to ourselves, which was great (haha). If I have the chance to visit Aomori again, I’d love to stay here again. Thank you very much for everything!

A relaxing trip with my grandchild and three sisters. Since it was just over 10,000 yen per person, we didn’t have very high expectations, but the front desk staff were kind and explained everything clearly. The Room was more spacious than we expected, which was great, but it was disappointing that the floor cushions were old and worn. The meals were delicious, with plenty of desserts that we enjoyed as well. Above all, the staff who assisted us in the dining area and hallways—and everyone we met—spoke to us kindly and made us feel comfortable. Regardless of the Accommodation cost, a good personality really matters. It was very good overall.

I have stayed at many Ryokans and Hotels, but this was such a wonderful Ryokan that I wanted to write a Review for the first time. The Shuttle Service staff, front desk staff, dining service staff, and kitchen staff were all courteous, kind, and attentive. The property was also impeccably clean, so I felt comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. I would love to stay here again.

Just as the title says! It was great to be able to watch the Lake Toya fireworks right in front of us! Our kids also enjoyed the bingo game! This Hotel was the best part of our trip to Hokkaido! We’d definitely love to stay again!

My wife, son, and I traveled from Nagoya with our dog. We followed the navigation via the Chuo Expressway, got off at Azusagawa IC, and after that there was almost nothing along the local roads—no gas stations—until we finally found one near the Accommodation. After arriving, we presented our dog’s various certificates at reception to check in. The staff were very kind. The first place we were shown was the café lounge: unlimited soft drinks, ice cream, and even alcohol (as much as available?!). There were also 4–5 kinds of dog treats prepared, which felt like a great perk for guests. Next to the café lounge there was also a pet shower room. What surprised me was that other guests also said they couldn’t smell any “pet odor,” and I hadn’t noticed it either—it really didn’t bother us at all. However, the smoking room is located around the center of the 2nd floor, and the cigarette smell inside that room was… quite strong. This time we stayed in a Japanese-style room because no Western-style rooms were available. At reception we were told that if our dog soiled any bedding we would be charged a cleaning fee, so we put our dog in diapers. Thanks to that nothing got dirty—but in an unexpected twist, my son got a nosebleed and stained the sheets. We weren’t charged anything, but I’m very sorry about that. Changing topics: Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style. For dinner we could choose 17:30 or 19:00; for breakfast 7:00 or 8:00. Everything was satisfying overall; alcoholic drinks are available for an additional charge. The bath is an Onsen open from 15:00 to 22:00, and in the morning from 5:00 to 10:00. There is an outdoor dog run with facilities and a washing area, plus towels for wiping paws. There is also an indoor one on the second floor. Stepping outside into such clear air helped me forget about work for a while, and we made wonderful memories with our dog and family. We’d love to come again! On the way back we headed toward Okaya IC on local roads before returning to Nagoya; from this Accommodation to Okaya IC the roads were well paved, and there are places like Suwa Taisha Shrine (Suwa Grand Shrine), Utsukushigahara Highlands (Plateau), roadside stations (Michi-no-Eki), etc., so it’s easy to make stops along the way. The route on our way there wasn’t as convenient—so next time we’ll come via Okaya IC. To Oedo Onsen Wanwan Resort Shinshu Ueda Team: Thank you for giving us such great memories.

This price was more than sufficient for two adults. We stayed as a couple in our 50s. The Room was spacious and had air conditioning and a TV, the toilet had a washlet, and the sulfur Onsen was wonderful. We were also able to enjoy an Onsen tour at the sister properties. There is also a retro hot spring town nearby, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The woman at the front desk was also very kind. Thank you!

Our trip with two Toy Poodles and our family of four was so much fun! It was our first time staying overnight with our dogs, and also our first time at an Accommodation that welcomes pets. The Facility was well equipped, beautiful, and very clean. I have a dog allergy so I was worried, but I had no issues. The Onsen was amazing! We were concerned it might be hot since there is no air conditioning, but it was surprisingly cool for midsummer and very comfortable. Meals were described as a half buffet, so we expected only a few options, but there was a great variety of dishes and everything was delicious. They also had draft beer, and the drink selection was excellent. There was even a buffet for dogs, plus a snack corner. The photo spot and the lovely dog run were also fantastic! Yahoo Travel has a high Point Rate, and you can use your Earn Points in advance, so it felt like a much better deal than other sites. It looks like there are many affiliated Hotels as well, so we would definitely like to stay again.

First, it’s an older Hotel, but I had no complaints at all. The rooms have been nicely renovated—clean and easy to use. The bath is a natural Onsen with excellent water. And the breakfast—there aren’t many Hotels where you can enjoy such a delicious breakfast. If I post a good review like this, Reservations will probably increase and the rates may go up, but since I stay in Suwa every month, I’ve already made my Reservation for next month as well.

I’ve been to Beppu many times, but this was my first stay at Sansuikan. Thank you for a relaxing time. My elderly siblings and I even talked about coming again next time (lol).

The Room we stayed in was very spacious. The bedroom and a separate lounge area with a sofa were divided into two spaces. Having an indoor bath that we could enjoy as many times as we liked at any time was wonderful. Both the Japanese breakfast and dinner were delicious. One small disappointment was that there were no extra amenity towels provided. At times, trash had not been cleared away in the tasting corner. However, overall it is a very clean Hotel, the hot water is excellent, and the meals were satisfying, so we would definitely like to stay again.
