The Accommodation is very clean and well maintained, while still retaining the charm of an old Ryokan. The owner’s hospitality is also very courteous. Perhaps because it was summer vacation, it was heartwarming to see their children helping out as well. The price was extremely satisfying. Breakfast featured local specialties and the portions were excellent. There was no parking fee either. There may be other fine Accommodations, but we were truly satisfied with the thoughtful service and great value for money.

We were thrilled that they showed us a covered parking area for our two motorcycles. At other Ryokan and Hotels we’ve stayed at, they offer covered parking for cars but say motorcycles aren’t allowed. The Onsen and the meals were excellent, and the staff were courteous—they even checked with the kitchen to answer our questions about the dishes. Overall, it was a very comfortable Ryokan, and we’d like to stay here again whenever we travel to the Yamaguchi area.

The locally caught fish dishes were very delicious. Since it wasn’t buffet-style, we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. The open-air bath had a milky white sulfur spring, with a great atmosphere, and it warmed us up thoroughly. It’s far even from Aomori, but it’s a hidden gem.

The building and Facility are not new, but everything is kept very clean. There is also a spacious pool for dogs, so even in the hot summer we were able to play and cool off. The sea is right next door, so you can enjoy the beach as well, and Umagase Domon is about a 20-minute walk away—perfect for an early-morning stroll. Above all, the highlight is the luxurious meals. To finish dinner, nigiri sushi is served. Even after enjoying so many delicious dishes beforehand, it was so tasty we could easily eat it all. The meals for dogs are luxurious too. All of the staff were very kind to our dog and treated us with great care. We made wonderful summer memories here.

The room I stayed in felt outdated overall, and the three-piece unit bathroom was particularly small and inconvenient. However, everything else was clean and well-maintained. The view from the accommodation lived up to its reputation as a "scenic inn," offering stunning sunsets. A sandy beach is just a short walk away, making it ideal for swimming in summer. Guests can enjoy a private open-air bath once for free. There are two options: a cypress bath and a larger-than-usual tub bath; I recommend the tub bath for its size. Although the public bath lacked scenic views, I had it all to myself during my visit, allowing me to relax fully with plenty of space. The meals were exceptional both morning and evening—highly recommended for sashimi or seafood lovers! The spiny lobster sashimi was sweet and incredibly delicious. The next morning's spiny lobster miso soup had rich flavors from the broth and was equally delightful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making this an accommodation I'd love to visit again!

It had been a while since I truly enjoyed outstanding fish dishes. Even at high-end restaurants in my hometown of Kochi, I’ve never seen this quality and volume—even after paying 40,000–50,000 yen for a course meal. The proprietress was still young, yet cheerful and warm, and she was wonderful—attentive even to the smallest details. I came well prepared after reading the Reviews and looking at the photos (and arrived with a very empty stomach), but I couldn’t keep up… And even at breakfast, yesterday’s spiny lobster appeared again in the miso soup—my wife, who loves spiny lobster, was delighted. The semi-open-air bath in the Room wasn’t an Onsen, but it had plenty of minerals and was quite nice. We’ll definitely stay again as our regular Accommodation for sightseeing in Mie. Even putting it very modestly: it was the best.

Just a few minutes’ walk from Amanohashidate Station, the location was extremely convenient for sightseeing. It was also great to be able to view Amanohashidate from the Room window. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me, and I could relax and enjoy a long soak. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. In particular, the shabu-shabu meat was outstanding, and it paired perfectly with the citrus-scented ponzu sauce. The steamed white rice had a natural sweetness and was very delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay comfortable. One concern was the smoking environment. Although the guest Rooms are non-smoking, there is a smoking area in the hallway, so cigarette smoke drifted into the Room. As a non-smoker, this was disappointing and was my only complaint. Overall, it was an Accommodation with a high level of satisfaction. It had an authentic Ryokan atmosphere that you can’t experience at a large Hotel, allowing us to fully enjoy our trip.

Dinner requires a Reservation, and this Hotel actually serves excellent food. The seasoning and preparation felt very careful and attentive. The Room is clean, spacious, and well maintained. The front desk staff are also kind. Breakfast is buffet-style; the selection isn’t large, but everything is delicious.

I had the privilege of spending New Year's for the first time at Kinjohro, one of Kanazawa's most renowned ryokan. With my mother being from Kanazawa and having spent six years studying in this city myself, it had always been a dream to welcome the New Year at Kinjohro. However, I hesitated for a long time, feeling that such a prestigious and traditional ryokan might be beyond my reach. This year, I finally had the opportunity to visit Kanazawa with my son and fulfill this long-held dream. The elegant architecture, refined furnishings harmonizing sophistication and grace, exquisite Kutani ware and Kaga Yuzen kimonos—everything exuded timeless beauty. The traditional Kaga cuisine featuring local specialties like yellowtail fish, crab, duck dishes such as kamo-jibu stew prepared with care using authentic ingredients—and even the osechi New Year’s feast—were simply exceptional. The room and bath filled with the soothing scent of cypress wood added to an unforgettable experience. Above all else was the heartfelt hospitality provided by staff who embody over 130 years of tradition in this historic city of Kanazawa. It felt as though we were transported back in time to experience the grandeur of Kaga Hyakumangoku culture. On New Year's morning after enjoying osechi cuisine, we joined other guests along with the owner, proprietress (okami), head chef, staff members and their families for a mochi-pounding event at the entrance. The friendly atmosphere shared among everyone under glimpses of blue sky through clouds made it truly special—the taste of kinako-coated mochi will remain etched in our memories alongside our stay at Kinjohro. Thank you so much to everyone at Kinjohro! I look forward to experiencing more seasonal delights from Kanazawa’s rich culture through future visits here.

I visited with my mother. First, we were soothed by the lush green scenery, and thoroughly satisfied with the unique buffet selection. We kept saying "so full!" while enjoying the all-you-can-eat crab. Soaking in the Onsen, I was able to give my mother a truly wonderful experience.

We stayed here as two couples in our 70s. The Room and Facility were very clean and well maintained. The service was also good, but the Onsen was especially wonderful. The water was excellent, and we enjoyed it many times. We would love to stay again.

We made a Reservation for a barbecue lunch. It was disappointing that the price differed by 210 yen from what we were told over the phone, but everything else was fine. The bath was a bit smaller than expected, but the amenities were from MUJI, which was nice. All the staff were kind and even brought bedding for our child who fell asleep during the meal. The Room was spacious, and we were very satisfied.

This was our first stay here. My husband enjoys searching for Accommodations when we travel, and we found this place through a Review site. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a welcome drink. After that, we enjoyed Japanese-style relaxation in the free private bath, then went from one bath to another—the historic marble bath and the panoramic-view bath. Once we were refreshed, we savored dishes made with plenty of local ingredients, and the pudding dessert was unbelievably delicious. After dinner, there was complimentary service in the first-floor lounge: homemade alcoholic drinks and juices, small desserts, and snacks. You can relax at your own pace while listening to music. Breakfast was just as lavish—freshly cooked Hitomebore rice that was glossy and wonderfully chewy with tasty side dishes. On top of that, the ochazuke made with the Accommodation’s signature dashi is outstanding, so getting a second helping of rice is a must. On departure, they even gave us freshly baked croissants as a gift—truly attentive in every way. We are grateful for the staff’s warm hospitality. This is an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again.

We stayed here during a beach trip. All the staff greeted us with kind smiles throughout our stay. The building was very clean and spotless. The bath was also very relaxing. We stayed in a Room with a private bath, and both the bathroom and toilet were very clean. The meals were luxurious with many dishes, and we were completely full. Since we stayed with our child, we were able to enjoy fireworks at night. They provide a fireworks gift, and you can borrow a bucket and a lighter. Breakfast was delicious as well, and we enjoyed coffee after the meal and spent an elegant time until check-out. The free massage chairs and water in the lobby were also very helpful. Small creatures (like tree frogs and crabs) sometimes visit near the Ryokan entrance, which delighted our children. We made wonderful memories to start our summer vacation. Thank you very much.

It was my first time visiting the Oki Islands, and their advice on sightseeing routes was very helpful. The Hotel was within walking distance from where we parked the rental car. There was also complimentary coffee and tea service on the first floor, so we could relax and take our time.

Every year, I take a solo trip on my birthday, and this year I visited the Oki Islands for the first time. I made a last-minute Reservation while watching the weather forecast, but I was able to enjoy the Rosoku Island cruise in perfect weather. The Hotel may feel a bit dated, but it was spotless and well maintained, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious no matter what I tried. The large rock oysters paired perfectly with sake, making it an incredibly luxurious trip.

We stayed in a cottage, and the Room was comfortable with the warmth of wood and clean bedding. The meals exceeded our expectations in both quality and quantity, and we enjoyed drinks as well, making it a wonderful time—we were very satisfied. We would love to stay again.

Everything was even better than I expected. Above all, the open-air bath in the Room was outstanding. If I have the chance, I’d love to stay again.

The meals were absolutely delicious. Among all the guesthouses we’ve stayed at so far, this one was outstanding by far! We were also surprised by the very reasonable prices for alcoholic drinks. We were moved by the silhouette of Mt. Fuji glowing in the sunset from our Room, and by the moon and stars in the night sky. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

I took a spontaneous solo trip. The Room was unique, but it was truly the perfect size for one person—an ideal place to switch off and just spend time alone. I made a Reservation with a Plan that did not include crab to save money, but the buffet selection was so substantial that I was completely satisfied even without crab. Above all, my main goal was drinks, and the all-you-can-drink option with a variety of sake was simply great—I enjoyed several types of Saga sake paired with the food. For a solo trip focused on enjoying alcohol, this will be my only choice from now on. Since it’s reasonably priced without crab, I’ll be back. This time I checked in at the last minute and couldn’t use the sauna, so next time I’ll arrive earlier and enjoy the sauna before savoring the drinks and food.
