Your warm hospitality makes me want to visit again. The view from the room's window frames the nearby Amanohashidate and mountains like a painting, and I find myself gazing at it for a while. A course lavishly using the elusive Taiza crab with QR tags. It was my first time at an auberge, and instead of French or Italian, I felt the owner's care in the ingredients, sauces, broth, and cooking methods using local Japanese cuisine. I heard that Tango has a long history influenced by the continent, and the stories about local love, traditional Japanese culture, ingredients, and the origins of words were enjoyable, adding depth and imagination to the taste. There are valuable paintings and documents of Tango throughout the property. Thank you for the seaweed-colored (Miruiro) pouch from the Stays as a souvenir.

I stayed at the accommodation for the first time in early September. Although I was a bit anxious as the route to the accommodation was slightly difficult to find, it was located deep inside Yoro Park, and I felt relieved when warmly welcomed by the owner-chef despite the rain. We were lucky to be the only guests staying that day, allowing us to enjoy a very relaxing and leisurely time with both meals and a private bath. The meals we had been looking forward to since making our reservation were served at just the right temperature and portion size, and everything was absolutely delicious—simply perfect! The sashimi, Hida beef, hoba miso, salt-grilled ayu fish, and jellyfish dish were especially outstanding. In today’s world where "cleanliness and convenience" are often taken for granted, this retro Showa-era style building may have had some minor inconveniences due to its age; however, it is clear that great care has been taken in its upkeep, which left a very positive impression on us. It had been a long time since my spouse and I enjoyed such quality time together—soaking in a bath side by side while savoring delicious food paired with local sake. Listening quietly to the sound of rain outside through the window made for an unforgettable experience. It reminded me how important it is to spend moments like these from time to time. Both dinner and breakfast are packed with ingredients from Ibaraki! Every dish is carefully prepared and feels truly luxurious. The location is wonderful, and the Accommodation is warm-hearted, welcoming you with a heartfelt “Welcome back.” We’ll be back again! It was just one night, but it made us want a Multiple Night Stay. We’re looking forward to next time.

The hospitality was exceptional. The warm personalities of the owner couple made this accommodation incredibly comfortable. Of course, the food was delicious, especially the seafood personally caught by the owner, which was unmatched in freshness. One thing I thought would be nice to have is a laundry basket under the sink. I am very grateful for their kindness.

A small Hotel located in Karuizawa Lake New Town, where the owner couple and staff warmly welcomed us. The Hotel features a charming medieval castle-like exterior, with carefully selected interiors, furniture, and tableware that create a delightful atmosphere. The owner couple also runs popular curry restaurants in Tokyo and Karuizawa, and you can enjoy their curry as an optional meal at the Hotel. Both the curry and breakfast were incredibly delicious. Nearby the Hotel, you can find Lake Garden, stylish cafes, grocery shops, and more—perfect for enjoyable strolls. I would love to visit again!

This was a return visit because when I stayed last November, I thought, “I’d like to come back in a different season.” As it was the rainy season, I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji at all—though it should have looked magnificent—but it turned out to be the perfect opportunity to relax indoors at the Facility. Since I arrived a little before check-in time, I contacted you hoping to leave my luggage only, and you kindly agreed. When I arrived, being greeted with “Welcome back!” was a wonderful start to the warm hospitality. Last time, I left several comments on things I hoped could be improved if possible, and every single one had been addressed—this thoughtfulness impressed me even more. Breakfast was changed from last time; the main dish was Saikyo miso–marinated rainbow trout, and it was so delicious that it made me want more rice. I’d love to visit again in another season as well—partly because I want to try yet another breakfast option.

Arriving in Nagahama after sightseeing at Ishiyamadera past 5:30 PM and leaving the Hotel at 8 AM the next morning for the Chikubushima Cruise, we couldn't relax as much as we wanted. However, the Room was a beautifully renovated storehouse, providing a cozy and comfortable stay. Although we didn't have time to use the sauna, the large bathtub in the Room allowed us to unwind and recover from our travels. The Spanish bar recommended to us offered delicious wine and food, leaving us very satisfied. We wish we could have stayed longer!

At first, I thought it was an apartment building and walked right past it. As soon as I was shown to the Room, I was greeted by a wonderful view and a calm, relaxing interior. At night, we could look up at the sky from the rooftop—the stars were beautiful. The Accommodation has a sauna, but I was disappointed that there was no chair in the shower room. It’s also a shame that you can’t see the view while soaking in the open-air bath—though you can if you stand up. Perhaps this is due to health department guidance. The meals were delicious and very generous in portion size; even our big-eating family member was completely satisfied. That said, for an Accommodation at this price point, a 10:00 checkout is far too early. Still, there is a nearby seaside market (“Umi no Eki”), which was very convenient for buying souvenirs. Driving along the seawall was also enjoyable.

Thank you very much for taking care of us the other day. This time, we planned a relaxing trip without overpacking our schedule and chose this Accommodation. The Room we stayed in was a renovated traditional storehouse in an old house, with both a first and second floor—very spacious. There was no TV or clock, so we were able to unwind exactly as planned. Another reason we chose this Accommodation was that we wanted to try the French dinner we saw on the travel site. When we actually had dinner, every dish was even more delicious than expected, and my wife and I were continuously impressed. In particular, the charcoal-grilled A5 Wagyu filet had the aroma of wood fire the moment it touched my mouth, and it easily ranks among the top three meat dishes I’ve ever had. I also quietly appreciated that corn rice was served instead of bread with the meat course. Also, perhaps from a casual conversation at check-in, they realized it was my birthday and surprised me with a celebration at dinner. It was embarrassing but truly made me happy and moved me. If there is one area for improvement, it would be nice if breakfast could be chosen as either Japanese or Western style. Overall, this is an Accommodation I can highly recommend.

I was able to have a wonderful time again. Thank you very much. I stayed at AO in my favorite hotel this time. I thought blue might feel cold, but perhaps due to the color scheme and texture (such as underfoot), it was a stay that even changed the impression of blue while being calm. It's a space that somehow makes you feel like you've "come home." The bath is deep, allowing you to warm up thoroughly and relax in a wonderful space. The amenities are pleasant, and I really like the scent of the bath herbs and soap. If I may be greedy, I would be happy if I could have herbal tea in the room. However, there is a pot, and you can enjoy three-year bancha and coffee. It is mentioned from the beginning that there is no toothbrush, but I thought it would be nice to have body lotion. I generally like Babaghuri's amenities, but the shampoo & rinse just don't suit my hair (I end up using it because it smells good), and that's the only disappointment. Breakfast is one of the pleasures of this property that cannot be missed. It's full of vegetables, looks beautiful, and energizes you from the morning. The soup changes with the season, and it's really gentle and delicious. Having delicious soup in the morning feels luxurious, and I always think so when I come here. It comes in a stove pot, so you can reheat it in the room. The variety of vegetables makes for a really enjoyable meal from the morning. I chose bread, and there were three types, each delicious, and although it seemed like a lot, I wanted to have seconds. I am thinking of staying again next time. I was also very pleased with the various thoughtful gestures this time. Thank you very much!!

I stayed for two nights, one with No Meals Included and the other with dinner and breakfast included. Learning about the centuries of history cherished by everyone in this mountain area was truly inspiring. I had a very comfortable stay, feeling protected by the mountains, which allowed me to sleep soundly. The local cuisine prepared by the community was exceptional (starting with tempura of sweet buns and many other unique dishes!). Knowing that hot water was boiled using firewood added to my happiness! It was hard to leave, and since I couldn’t see the starry sky this time, I hope to visit again!

We stayed for one night with three dogs to celebrate the New Year, and it turned out to be a highly satisfying experience. Considering the year-end traffic and the cold weather in Karuizawa, we opted for the bullet train this time. After exploring the outlet mall directly connected to the station, we took a taxi for about 11 minutes at a cost of approximately 3,500 yen. Later, we found out that Shuttle Service was available, so checking in advance would make things smoother. The property is very spacious—about half the size of Tokyo Dome by feel—and fully enclosed. It felt like an entire dog park, providing great peace of mind when traveling with pets. Although limited to one group per day, there are three tents available. For two people it feels luxurious; six people might strike a better balance. The dogs were relaxed throughout our stay and enjoyed their freedom without concern for others—a major highlight. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with drinks and used the sauna before dinner. The sauna allowed "löyly" (steam infusion) with around nine types of aroma oils provided. At about 90°C (194°F), it was perfect for working up a good sweat. While there wasn’t a cold plunge pool available, winter’s chilly outdoor air sufficed without inconvenience. The distance from the sauna to showers could be improved slightly; however, having a bonfire area right outside made outdoor relaxation part of its charm—I wish we'd checked in earlier! Dinner was BBQ-style featuring high-quality meats and vegetables along with delicious fish appetizers and soup as starters. A selection of wines including red wine starting at 5,500 yen as well as white wine and champagne were also offered. The BBQ venue had enclosures and heaters ensuring comfort even during colder seasons. The Room felt chilly due to exposure from outside air but came equipped with electric blankets plus heaters making sleeping conditions manageable overall—though stronger or additional heating units would enhance comfort further especially if you're sensitive towards cold temperatures; bringing extra warm clothing is recommended! Morning began again inside saunas followed by breakfast consisting thoughtfully prepared soup alongside Akagi beef shigureni bento boxes which delivered both satisfying portions & flavors alike! Throughout every interaction staff maintained pleasant professionalism striking ideal balance between attentiveness yet respecting privacy leaving lasting positive impressions behind too! Finally returning back via Shuttle Service ensured seamless end-to-end convenience concluding memorable stay altogether! Looking forward revisiting during spring/autumn seasons next time experiencing different scenery/atmosphere altogether anew!
