Yuyama Onsen Yuyamaen

It felt like a cozy, homey hidden retreat, and we were able to relax at a very leisurely pace. Dinner was served in small portions, but each dish was carefully prepared, and we enjoyed a delicious meal that left us completely satisfied. Breakfast was beautifully presented in small bowls and felt just right for the morning, but we were surprised when grilled kama (fish collar) was served—though it was absolutely delicious. The owner and hostess were wonderfully warm and welcoming, which made our stay truly comforting.

This was the most hospitable Accommodation I have ever stayed at.From the moment we parked, the proprietress welcomed us with a wonderful smile.In the Room, there were bottled Shizuoka tea, canned satsuma mandarin juice, mineral water, and mizuyokan—everything was thoughtfully provided.We stayed in one of the older Rooms rather than a renovated one, but it was kept very clean, and we could truly feel how much the staff care about their guests.The bath area had about three washing stations, but I was able to relax on my own in an Onsen that wasn’t overly hot.For both dinner and breakfast, we enjoyed superb food and drinks at the open-kitchen counter while chatting with the owner—an unforgettable time.My wife was especially impressed by the grilled tuna collar served at breakfast.When we were leaving, our car had lots of cherry blossom petals on it, and the owner immediately brought over a hand towel and told us to use it.I have never seen an Accommodation like this before.I was genuinely moved.
