COCO STAY Nishikawaguchi Ekimae

Day 4 with the Seishun 18 Ticket. With heavy luggage and a tired body, I arrived at Nishikawaguchi Station. After passing the police box and a convenience store, I quickly reached COCO STAY Nishikawaguchi Ekimae—about a 1–2 minute walk from the station. Despite the staff’s polite explanation at reception, I headed straight for the bath. A generous tub of hot water was waiting for me. The moment I soaked in it, it felt like heaven, and all of today’s fatigue melted away as if it had never been there. It was a great Hotel.

Used for a business trip. While it’s not an Onsen, there is a large public bath, and the bed was high quality. Even though the bathrooms are shared, there were plenty of toilets and sinks, everything was very clean, and the front desk staff were helpful.As many Reviews mention, sound does carry—about like a cheap studio apartment. However, noise from the hallway comes through quite directly. Earplugs were provided in the Room, so anyone sensitive to noise should use them (I was fine).My only complaint was that the Wi‑Fi signal was extremely weak.It was still usable in the 2nd-floor lounge, but even on the 4th floor where I stayed, there were times when speeds dropped to around 1.5 Mbps down and in the 500 kbps range up—pretty hopeless at times—so it’s tough to use for work in your Room. Since the desk in the Room is a good size, I think it would be great to have Wi‑Fi repeaters on each floor.Overall, this Hotel offered excellent value for money. If only the Wi‑Fi were faster, I’d stay again. Commuting toward Tokyo during rush hour is hell for someone from out of town… (sweat)
