Oyado Hana

The traditional Japanese-style house has been charmingly updated with cute interior touches, and there’s also a water dispenser. Considering the price, it was excellent.Unfortunately, the nearby Onsen was out of order so we couldn’t use it, but they kindly explained recommended Onsen and local eateries in detail, which made for great memories.We expected it might be lively at night since there were also international guests, but perhaps everyone was considerate—it was so quiet we wondered if anyone else was even staying there.

This time I traveled by car and came mainly for cycling.I confirmed in advance that I could park before check-in, then went cycling.After returning, I checked in, and they suggested a time slot when I could take my time in the bath, so I was able to relax and recover from the day’s fatigue.(Usually Onsen sessions are 25 minutes in 30-minute slots, but since there was availability, they let me use that time as well.)The bath is also an Onsen.Although I drove this time, the location is very convenient because Kii-Katsuura Station is right in front.Also, the JR West Kisei Main Line (which serves Kii-Katsuura Station) offers a “cycle train” service where you can bring your bicycle onto the train as-is,so it really felt like Wakayama is cyclist-friendly.When I stayed here, about half of the guests were international visitors.There were no issues at all—I managed with my broken English (haha).Meals are not included, but there are restaurants nearby so you won’t have any trouble finding somewhere to eat.Overall, it was a very pleasant Accommodation for me.
