Ryokan & Glamping Resort: The Inn Where the Sound of Deer Echoes - Hanazansui

We visited last year and had an amazing, great-value summer with river play, BBQ, fireworks, and more—perfect for our family with young children—so we came back again this year. We made a mistake during the Reservation process, but the staff kindly helped us, and we were able to make more wonderful summer memories. With easy access from central Tokyo, it’s perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy glamping casually.

The meal portions were quite generous, but given that there are hardly any places to shop nearby, I felt they were thoughtfully planned so you wouldn’t need to go out and buy anything extra.Every dish was truly delicious. We stayed in a basic tent, and with its high ceiling and spacious interior, it was very comfortable. All the staff were also very pleasant, and considering the value for money, it felt like an incredible deal.The meals were already prepped, so we didn’t need to cut anything ourselves—just grill and enjoy. They even collected the dishes after dinner, so it honestly felt like we only got to enjoy all the best parts—it was incredibly well taken care of.We stayed in mid-August, but the nights were cool enough that we could sleep without using the fan inside the tent. It was hot during the day, but between using the fan, chilling our drinks in the refrigerator we brought along, and spending time playing in the river, it wasn’t a problem at all.The shower room was larger than expected, clean, and very comfortable to use.At night we could see a sky full of stars. We also had unique nature experiences—rhinoceros beetles flying over, stag beetles resting nearby, and even spotting a doe with her fawn early in the morning. There were clear rules such as lights-out times as well, which made us feel reassured that everything is properly managed as an Accommodation/Facility.We would definitely love to stay again.It was a truly wonderful place where we could relax and have a great time surrounded by nature.Thank you very much!
