Hotel Grand Fine Kyoto Minami

I used this property as a base for sightseeing around Kyoto by car. The service was calm and professional, so I felt comfortable staying here. The hallway felt a bit dated, but the Room was standard.However, although Google TV was available, YouTube would not play videos—I could select a video, but playback wouldn’t start, and I couldn’t even get to the login screen.

I made a Reservation through Yahoo Travel.Check-in was from 6:00 PM and check-out was at 12:00 PM, so we could relax with the longer stay.Even though it was Golden Week season, it was a great deal at 11,860 yen including two meals (a late-night meal and breakfast).We could also use hometown tax donations, which made the stay even more affordable.I was worried about meals, so I really appreciated that.The food wasn’t like a Ryokan-style meal. I didn’t have high expectations for the taste, but it was pleasantly good and tasty.The portions were sufficient.Service after ordering was quick.The bathroom and wash area were spacious—typical of this kind of Hotel—with a large bath and a well-stocked vanity area with amenities.The Room had a big TV, and we could watch YouTube and Amazon Prime Video.The bed was naturally king-size and fluffy,and I slept very well.Personally, when I visit Kyoto again,I’d like to make another Reservation and stay here again.
