Isohara Seaside Hotel

Despite the long spell of autumn rain, we were blessed with sunshine and were able to relax while taking in the view from our room—blue skies with white clouds, the sea and horizon—and being soothed by the sound of the waves. The hot springs left my skin smooth and moisturized and warmed me through to the core, and the rooftop open-air bath was amazing with beautiful stars overhead. The food was delicious as well. With a focus on local vegetables, fish, and carefully selected ingredients, every homemade dish was wonderful. It even made me ask if you serve lunch too… but you don’t (which is understandable), so that’s a shame. All the more reason to come back! While parts of the building do show their age, it has been renovated beautifully; using single-slab wood pieces and driftwood throughout gave it a retro, calming atmosphere with great attention to detail. In every way, this was an outstanding place to stay. I will definitely return. Thank you very much.

I found this Hotel while looking for an Accommodation in Kitaibaraki with great food during a driving trip to Oiwa Shrine.From check-in to check-out, the staff welcomed us with warm hospitality.Not only dinner but also breakfast was excellent. I could truly feel the chef’s attention to detail in every aspect—cooking methods that highlight local Kitaibaraki ingredients, perfectly balanced sauces, and homemade miso and dressings. Every dish was carefully crafted, and I was genuinely impressed.The view from the Room was amazing as well. I kept stepping out onto the balcony to look at the ocean. Since a typhoon was approaching, the waves were high and we could hear quite loud wave sounds all day long. (The front desk also offered earplugs.)The rooftop Onsen with an observation view was wonderful too. When I visited, it happened to be completely private, so I took one photo.Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was my first time here, but it’s such a great Hotel that I’ve become a fan—I’d love to come back again.
