Hotel and Spa Gift TAKAYAMA

We stayed in a Junior Suite for two people for one night. The Room was very spacious, yet comfortably sized. We didn’t use them this time, but the Room also had a bathtub and shower, which seemed convenient if you prefer to bathe in your Room. There was no explanation about using the slippers and loungewear, so we weren’t sure whether they were only for use inside the Room or also allowed throughout the Hotel. Not only the Room but the entire Hotel felt very clean, making our stay pleasant. The large public bath was reasonably spacious and at a comfortable temperature. The outdoor bath had a gap beneath the fence, allowing us to enjoy the view. We could also enjoy the scenery from the relaxation area and unwind comfortably. Dinner was served as a kaiseki course featuring local ingredients, and everything tasted excellent. Breakfast was a buffet and was just as enjoyable. The location was also convenient, close to both the station and bus terminal.

On our trip to Shirakawa-go, we stayed at this Hotel for two nights in Takayama along the way.We booked a suite Room with dinner featuring Hida beef steak as the main dish.On the second night, dinner was sukiyaki.Both meals were generous, and everything—from the non–Hida beef dishes to dessert—was delicious.Breakfast was also thoughtfully prepared, which we really appreciated.The Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.We didn’t use the in-room bath because there is a large public bath, but it was a big bath with a window, and we would have liked to use it if time allowed.The Room towels included only bath towels and face towels (to take to the bath), and there wasn’t a hand towel for the sink or toilet, which was slightly inconvenient.It wasn’t an issue since we could request extra at the front desk, but it would be nice to have a hand towel in the toilet from the start (paper towels would also be fine).The loungewear (can be worn inside the Hotel) was very comfortable.Because the front desk area is a bit small, check-in and check-out can get crowded.All of the staff were very helpful, so even minor inconveniences weren’t a problem.
