Hotel SUI Hamamatsu

I stayed here for the first time last year and loved it, so I chose this Hotel again this year when I came to Shizuoka for a live show. It’s very reasonably priced, but the staff are polite and kind, and the amenities and drink service are a huge help for someone traveling light. I didn’t have much time to use all the services again this year, but I was happy that there were still hitsumabushi rice balls available when I returned to the Hotel. Enjoying local food is one of the best parts of traveling! I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Shizuoka.

Not only is the free happy-hour drink service great, but the hitsumabushi rice balls served at dinner are outstanding. Have a beer and a rice ball—nothing more to ask for. I was completely satisfied.　At checkout, when I was putting crushed ice into my cooler bag, someone from the kitchen called out and offered to add block ice instead. A small gesture that made me happy. Everyone was so kind.　If I had to mention one thing, the washbasin is too shallow and hard to use. Water splashed everywhere and left everything soaked.
