Urban Hotel Kyoto Nijo Premium

It’s a bit of a walk from Subway Nijo Station to the Hotel.However, compared with staying near Kyoto Station and having to navigate its large platforms, this option may actually be quicker from “getting off the train to reaching the Hotel.”Also, buses to Shijo and Kyoto Station depart from the bus stop right in front of the Hotel, which was surprisingly convenient.The route to the Hotel has wide sidewalks, so even with a suitcase it’s easy and stress-free.And there’s a large supermarket on the way from the station to the Hotel!I think it’s also well suited for longer stays.Depending on your sightseeing plans, I’d choose this Hotel rather than staying around Kyoto Station or Shijo-Karasuma.

I chose this property because it has a large public bath, but due to my own circumstances I didn’t use it and used the in-Room shower instead. The overhead shower felt like raindrops falling, which may have been due to how I used it, but that was the only disappointing point. The front desk service was great, the Room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Since I was traveling alone, the glass-walled toilet didn’t bother me, but if I had been with family or in a group, I think we would have wanted some kind of privacy screen.For breakfast, I went around 7:30 as advised that it would be busy at that time, and it really was full. After 8:00 it became quieter, so I could enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace. The handmade tofu was delicious, and both the obanzai dishes and dashi chazuke were wonderfully seasoned—reminding me how nice a Japanese breakfast is. I’m glad I chose the breakfast plan.Thank you very much for your hospitality. If I have another opportunity, I’d love to stay again.
