Doggy's Coast Oarai

Check-in starts at 2:00 PM, but we were able to use the dog run even if we arrived earlier, which made both us and our dog very happy!The all-inclusive plan was truly luxurious, with a wide variety of drinks and even light snacks—absolutely fantastic.They also had treats and cake for dogs!The Room was spacious and comfortable.Dinner was a gorgeous course meal, and the freshly baked bread in particular was delicious—we were so happy we could get refills.The next morning, our dog jumped out of the cart and couldn’t walk, so we consulted a male staff member at reception. He called several nearby animal hospitals for us, which helped us so much.They also changed our breakfast to takeout—thank you very much for your support.It’s a wonderful Hotel and we were completely satisfied!!This is an amazing Hotel that I want to recommend to everyone.Thank you so much.We will definitely come again! We are truly grateful to the staff.

I had an errand in Ibaraki and was looking for a Hotel where I could bring my dog, with the goal of enjoying the seafood in Oarai that I’d been wanting to try for a long time—this is the place I found. It was a wonderful Hotel that truly puts dogs first in every respect. We stayed in an ocean-side Room on the 4th floor, so the view was great, and the Room was spacious and spotless. There were also various dog-friendly amenities provided in the Room.Since we went out at night to eat seafood at the fishing port, I can’t comment on dinner, but after returning we thoroughly enjoyed the free-flow drinks. There are leash hooks throughout the building, including in the restaurant area, so even owners of large dogs can feel at ease. For breakfast you choose from options like a one-plate sandwich or burger; there was plenty of salad as well, and free-flow drinks were available again in the morning—very satisfying.In the garden there is a large dog run with wood chips and grass, with time slots alternating between medium/large dogs and small dogs every hour starting from 7:00 a.m. Both areas were spacious enough for our dog to sprint around at full speed, which made for great exercise. Even if their paws got dirty from running hard, there’s a free grooming room right by the entrance, so there was nothing to worry about.The only disappointment was that there wasn’t a freezer compartment in the refrigerator. When traveling with a dog in summer, it’s helpful to bring frozen fresh meals or freeze ice packs, so I’d really like to see refrigerators with freezer capability. Also—not exactly a complaint, but something that would have been nice—is a large public bath; though that may be asking too much (the bath in our Room was quite spacious).We live in Nagano and don’t often have opportunities to visit Ibaraki, but this is definitely a Hotel we’d like to return to.
