I’m truly glad we were able to visit after the typhoon. Thank you for calling us from the day before through the day of our stay and for your warm hospitality.After we arrived, we were about to head to the airport due to a flight change, but you ran over to let us know the airport was closed. Thanks to that, we didn’t waste valuable time and were able to enjoy a relaxed dinner.We also appreciated your advice that if we chose all the dinner courses, we could share them and enjoy everything together—we were very satisfied.Both dinner and breakfast made excellent use of fresh ingredients and were delicious, and our friends were very happy as well.The location was wonderful, and we took lots of great photos.The drinks in the Room refrigerator were complimentary, so we could relax and enjoy them in our Room too.It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again.

We had both dinner and breakfast, and almost everything was handmade. Someone described it as a casual Italian trattoria, but that’s completely off the mark. They offer several kinds of house-made pasta, and even the side potato salad is made with potatoes sourced from a well-known contracted farm—potatoes aged for two years in snow huts (kamakura) in Hokkaido. We chose steak for the main, so there may be even higher-end options elsewhere, but the local Motobu beef was delicious. The opening salad and soup were also carefully prepared with no shortcuts, fully comparable to upscale Italian restaurants in the city. The reason the morning toast looks dark is because they use their own smoked butter—anyone complaining should listen to the explanation more carefully.If I had to mention a weakness of this Hotel, it’s that it’s small-scale (which is exactly why the service is wonderful), so those who prefer a gorgeous Resort Hotel with a private beach and snorkeling on-site may find it lacking. If you have enough time and budget, staying at both this Accommodation and, for example, Shigira Mirage would probably cover everything you can do on Miyakojima. Personally, I strongly recommend staying at both types of Accommodation rather than going halfway to Hawaii or Guam.
