Miru Amami

For the past 4–5 years, we have visited around the May holidays, but this time we came to Amami during the July holiday weekend. Instead of the unsettled weather before the rainy season, we enjoyed consecutive clear days and were soothed by Amami’s truly beautiful blue sea and sea turtles.As always, the staff’s outstanding hospitality and pleasant conversations make us want to come back again.The Room is a comfortable size, and soaking in the outdoor bath on the deck while looking up at the starry sky—along with the tropical plants in view—really helps you unwind.With tasteful amenities and consistently fun, delicious meals, this is a Hotel where you can take your time and enjoy both breakfast and dinner at a relaxed pace, truly feeling like you’re on holiday.We plan to visit again next July.Since I love Hawaii, I’m planning another trip next month as well—but this feels like what you’d choose in Hawaii when you want to relax on an outer island rather than Oahu or Waikiki.I think it’s an ideal place to do nothing but swim in the ocean and enjoy how wonderful it feels to gaze at a star-filled sky.

We stay here every year, and this time we stayed in the newly built Accommodation wing. It is very close to the parking lot and restaurant, which was extremely convenient for our family as we come and go often. We especially appreciated that there were no stairs or slopes to climb, which was a big plus.\nOn the other hand, it felt a bit farther from the beach (only in comparison with the other Accommodation wings), so opinions differed within our family—but either way, we had a comfortable stay.\nCompared with the previous Accommodation wing, the shower room felt somewhat smaller, giving it a slightly more adult-oriented feel.\nBoth breakfast and dinner were excellent; everything was delicious. The staff’s service and teamwork were as attentive as ever, with great hospitality. We were also very happy to see additional washing machines installed.\nWe would love to stay again next year and beyond—thank you very much.
