This is a very popular ryokan that’s hard to book, with excellent reviews, so I was really looking forward to staying here.From the moment I stepped through the entrance, it felt like a wonderfully pleasant space.The room was spacious, and I could look out over Lake Shinji from the window—it truly made me feel, “I’m in Matsue.”I relaxed in the open-air bath in my room, and the large public bath was also wonderful. The complimentary ice cream after bathing was a nice touch.Dinner was delicious across the board, and even though I thought I couldn’t eat another bite by the time the final eel rice dish arrived, I still enjoyed it.Thoughtful attention to detail could be felt throughout the property.Above all, every staff member was exceptional, and I felt comfortable for my entire stay.The facilities, food, service, and hospitality were all flawless.The next morning I had planned to take a taxi to JR Matsue Station, but due to a taxi shortage I couldn’t secure one. When I wasn’t sure what to do next, they kindly drove me at my requested time to Matsue-Shinjiko-Onsen Station. From there there are relatively frequent buses to JR Matsue Station, so getting there was easy.The taxi shortage wasn’t something the ryokan could control, but their willingness to help even in this situation made a huge difference.Thanks to them, it turned into a wonderful stay.I would love to visit again.

When staying one night in Matsue, I chose this Accommodation even though I thought it might be a bit pricey, because the Room had a view of Lake Shinji and an open-air Onsen bath, and the access was convenient enough. They kindly accommodated my requests at check-in, and thanks to their help my not-so-perfect Plan went smoothly. Even after checkout they lent me a bicycle, and I was able to do even more than what I wanted to in Matsue! The meals were high quality for both dinner and breakfast, and everything was delicious. The complimentary drinks and the ice cream at the large public bath were exactly my taste. The sweets in the Room were handmade desserts with even the ingredients listed. And the open-air bath in the Room was just the right temperature and a perfect size. The water felt so good that I lost count of how many times I soaked in it (lol). I want to live here... I don’t want to go home... In the end, I thanked the Room before leaving. They also drove me to the station to match my airport bus time. Thank you very much to all the staff for taking such great care of me. I recommend this place to everyone!
