Yamagata Grand Hotel

Headed straight from Yamagata Station to the Hotel. Enjoyed a lunch buffet at La Seine, the restaurant on the 1st floor of the Hotel. I ended up eating too much, and it was over 30°C outside. I considered waiting in front of the front desk until check-in, but there were artworks on display throughout the building—sculptures and paintings from Japan and abroad—so my time passed pleasantly and productively. As a long-established Hotel, you can feel its heritage in the paintings displayed in the Room, yet areas such as the bathroom are well maintained and felt fresh and new. It was a relaxing guest Room.

I stay here every month on business and always choose this Accommodation.The Room is spacious, and with complimentary water and newspapers plus a Nespresso machine, it’s very comfortable.The interior is a bit dated, but everything is kept impeccably clean, and the front desk staff are courteous and professional, so I can stay with peace of mind.I don’t notice noise from neighboring Rooms, it feels very relaxing, and although I’ve stayed at various Hotels near the station, the value for money here is unbeatable.It’s a little walk from the station, but once you actually stay here you’ll find it convenient since it’s along the main road, and I think it’s also great for a Multiple Night Stay as a base.Whenever someone asks me for recommendations on where to stay, this is always my top choice.I truly hope you keep up this same level of service going forward.
