We arrived after climbing the slope of Mt. Daisen for a while in light rain and mist. Seeing the word “Church,” we hesitated for a moment, but when we opened the wooden lobby door, we found a charming space unified in an antique style—like stepping into a Kenji Miyazawa story. You can truly feel how much the owner couple and staff value and care for their guests. Once shown to our room, the fog gradually lifted, revealing beautiful views of Yonago’s cityscape in the distance, along with the Sea of Japan and Lake Nakaumi. The open-air bath on the terrace was pure luxury, soaking while taking in the spectacular scenery. Dinner was exceptional both in presentation and taste. We also enjoyed chatting with the dining staff, and the timing of each course was perfect. In this quiet natural setting, we spent blissful time that felt well beyond its price. As always, I soak in the spacious public bath, head back to my Room, hit the sauna like I always do, take a cold shower, and then slip into the Onsen in my Room. It’s the classic routine I’ve repeated many times whenever I stay at Sennentei. At dinner, I take a big gulp from a frosty mug—absolutely irresistible. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious, with all kinds of local specialties to enjoy. Tottori is truly a great place to spend a holiday, and Sennentei is especially relaxing even by Tottori standards. In May, stocking up on Ohara tomatoes on the way home—and in late August, buying plenty of Nijisseiki pears—is another one of my usual traditions.

I visit on business every year, but this was my first stay in Kaike Onsen. Since I was here for work, I wasn’t expecting anything special, but not only was the Onsen wonderful—the meals were excellent as well. The sunset over the Sea of Japan from our spacious Room was absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely like to stay again next time. Thank you very much.

I wanted to invite my mentor, who has supported me for many years, to my absolute favorite Accommodation, and we had a wonderful stay. A Room with a beautiful ocean view through large windows, a spacious open-air bath where you can truly relax, carefully prepared and delicious meals, and the thoughtful hospitality of all the staff—everything was outstanding. They were completely satisfied and deeply impressed, and I am truly grateful that I invited them. No matter when you visit or whom you bring along, this is an Accommodation you can trust without hesitation.

This time, since I wanted an Onsen close to Yonago Airport, I chose Kaike Onsen. I was satisfied with the Room, the Onsen, and the meals. However, upon arrival: There was only one person at the front desk, and no one came to greet me at the entrance. (For some reason, when I left they saw me off the whole time?) I stopped in front of the entrance to unload my luggage, then parked my car on my own in a distant parking lot. When I entered, they were assisting the previous guest and didn’t say “Welcome” or even “Please wait,” which made me feel like I wasn’t being welcomed. I wanted to come again during crab season, but…

I traveled to Tottori to see a friend from junior high school, and stayed at Hakusen, which my friend recommended. The meals and the hospitality were extremely satisfying, but I felt embarrassed because the bath was clearly visible from outside. The curtain only closed about one-third, and while you could say no one was really watching, I ended up making eye contact more than once. Other than that, it was great.

There were a few minor operational issues during breakfast, but the friendly and attentive service more than made up for them, so it was not a problem at all. The Facility and staff in each section were also excellent, and this is an Accommodation I would recommend to others.

This was my fifth stay. I visited this time for my birthday. Because it was my birthday, they upgraded me to a suite Room, and I was truly touched by their thoughtfulness. The Room was spacious, spotless, and absolutely wonderful. As always, the meals were consistently delicious. The vegetables here are especially outstanding. It was my first time trying the egg tart, and it was perfectly flaky and very tasty. I don’t drink alcohol, but their decaffeinated coffee is excellent. When I asked for it, they even went out of their way to prepare and bring it to me, saying it’s “difficult to brew.” I really appreciated that kind of attentive service. For those who do drink alcohol, I think this Hotel must feel like heaven. All of the staff are kind and courteous. In particular, the front desk service was exceptional. Since I’ve stayed several times before, they skipped unnecessary explanations when appropriate—flexibly adjusting to the situation—which I found wonderful. The bath area was also well cleaned, and I’m happy that Sekkisei amenities are available. Before entering the bath, I heard another guest mention that something had run out, but it seemed to be replenished frequently; by the time I finished bathing, it had been properly restocked. The only disappointment this time was that because of the rain I couldn’t see Mt. Daisen, but the night view toward Yonago was beautiful. After five stays here in total, once again I felt this is an Accommodation where you’ll want to return again and again.

Compared with my previous stay, the Room was much cleaner. The toilet is still old, but it has a washlet, and the air-conditioning and lighting are brand new, which was great. As for the meals, everything was fresh, and the fish and sushi were very delicious. For breakfast, I would prefer the dried fish to be grilled for guests rather than having to grill it myself. Overall, both the Facility and dining have improved a lot and it was very good. If there were chairs in the Room, it would be perfect.

I stayed here with my parents. Every dish at dinner was delicious, and my father and I really enjoyed our drinks. We were also moved by the beautiful sunset over Lake Togo that evening. We would love to visit again.

This Hotel is set on spacious grounds in a quiet lakeside setting, perfect for relaxing at a leisurely pace. The view from the panoramic bath is outstanding. The meals are generous—so much so that you may not be able to finish everything. The only drawback was that BS channels were not available.

I visited during summer but am sure each season brings new ways to enjoy this place. FURAHA is somewhere you'll want to visit again and again. A single room cost just under 9,000 yen using points. When I mentioned at check-in that I was having stomach issues, they kindly changed the Genghis Khan meal to soba and seasoned rice. The delicious soba and warm hospitality lifted my spirits, which had been down due to my poor health. Thanks to this, my climb of Mt. Daisen the next day went perfectly. Thank you very much. The property's building and facilities are old, but they are kept very clean, so I had no issues at all. The view from the room is great, and the starting point for climbing Mt. Daisen, Daisenji Temple, Ogamiyama Shrine, and the autumn foliage spots are all very close. It's a place and Stays I want to visit again in a different season.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here—at least four. As the title says, it’s five seconds to the beach. The ocean view from the living room is stunning. The sea was a bit rough this time, but the contrast between the white crests and the blue-green water made it even more striking. The Southeast Asian–style interior you can see in the photos is wonderful and exceptionally clean—nothing to complain about. It’s probably among the very best vacation rentals. Personally, I was a little disappointed that the BBQ Facility I’d enjoyed up until last year is no longer available.

The Facility and breakfast were very satisfying, just like others have mentioned. However, there was one issue. Dinner was supposed to be at the neighboring restaurant—likely under the same management as the Hotel, as their menu was also placed in the Room—but I chose Tuesday for my stay because Wednesday is their regular holiday. Unfortunately, it turned out that Tuesday was also a holiday. Being in a rural area with no nearby restaurants, I had to drive to Yonago at night but managed to resolve the situation. Later on Instagram, I found out that some weeks have Tuesdays as holidays too, but this information is announced only a month in advance and doesn't align with Reservation timing. For those planning to rely on the neighboring restaurant when making a Reservation, please make sure to confirm beforehand!

I stayed at Mikaku no Accommodation Yamadaya on the second day of my solo trip to Tottori. The place is a bit old, but it was very calm and relaxing, and I was able to take it easy. Since I had crab on the first day, I chose the shabu-shabu course. The portion was so generous that I couldn’t finish it all by myself and ended up leaving some behind—I’m truly sorry about that. Still, it was delicious and I was very satisfied. I don’t usually like ponzu sauce, but the ponzu served with this shabu-shabu was surprisingly easy to enjoy. The thoughtful care as I was leaving also meant a lot. I’d like to stay here again when I come back to Tottori. Thank you very much.

Although the weather was not great, we still enjoyed our stay and even had fun with the little inconveniences. A wonderful Room and meals. Next time, I’d love to watch the stars.
