The meals were delicious, just as the reviews said. The hospitable service was also excellent. Being able to rent a car made the trip very comfortable. Thank you very much!

We stayed here with a large group in January. First of all, the traditional kura-style building is truly one of a kind. It has been beautifully renovated to suit modern needs while preserving the charm of classic Japanese architecture. It’s even more impressive in person than in photos, and you can really enjoy the building itself—perfect for anyone who loves architecture. The living room feels incredibly open, and even with a big group it never felt cramped. The kitchen was surprisingly spacious, and it was stocked with more than enough cookware and appliances. There was also a great variety of tableware, all stylish, which made cooking even more enjoyable. The dishwasher in particular was large and high-performance, making cleanup easy even for a big group. There are multiple bedrooms as well, so everyone can rest comfortably. This Accommodation is ideal for the purpose of “staying together as a large group and relaxing.” Overall it’s very spacious, so we could spend time there without feeling self-conscious. We only ordered breakfast, but it was simple Japanese food and very delicious. For lunch and dinner we arranged our own meals—buying ingredients at nearby supermarkets (Tsuruya and AEON are conveniently close) and cooking ourselves—and that became part of the fun of the stay. With such well-equipped facilities, this place is especially recommended for those who enjoy cooking. Even though it was cold around New Year’s, the inside was warm and comfortable. The separate hinoki bathhouse was amazing; you heat the indoor bath yourself, but the scent of hinoki wood and the atmosphere were truly relaxing. There is also another bath in the main house (with a modern tub), which you can use as well—and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of underfloor heating in the changing area there. We were highly satisfied with everything—the space, facilities, and overall atmosphere—and would love to visit again in a different season.

I stayed for one night with a friend. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, knitting while watching dramas, and spending time at a relaxed pace surrounded by nature! The cabin was well-equipped with various utensils and seasonings, which was very convenient. Additionally, the distance from neighboring cabins allowed us to enjoy our stay without worrying about others. I would love to visit other SANU locations as well!

I’d been curious about this place for a while, and this was my first stay. The atmosphere felt like a condominium in Hawaii or Australia. There’s no kitchen, but the space and layout have that kind of feel. It has underfloor heating, so it seems like it will be warm in the coming season as well. The meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. Also, I logged into YouTube to watch something and forgot to log out. When I called, they kindly said they would log out for me—thank you so much. Thank you as well for all your help regarding the bath. I’d love to visit again!

Winter crab, early-summer white squid, and the salt-kiln-grilled abalone we always request as an optional add-on. At Waraku, you can enjoy seasonal delicacies throughout the year, but this time we tried their limited-time wild tiger pufferfish course for the first time, available only around Golden Week. We were truly impressed by the depth of Yuhigaura’s seafood. The beautifully presented sashimi platter (tessa) had a pleasantly chewy texture and was so delicious it ranks No. 1 among all the meals we’ve had at accommodations! The grilled milt was also exceptionally large, plump, and rich—perfect with Waraku’s own-label Junmai Daiginjo sake. And in this season especially, the private garden by the detached guest room feels at its most beautiful, with blooming flowers and vivid green moss. Whenever we’re worn out from everyday life and want to relax and feel restored, we always visit Waraku to Clear our minds.

The Room is comfortable with a pleasant view, and you can enjoy the nearby Heart Rock all to yourself on an early morning walk. The homemade vegetable-rich breakfast prepared by the warm and kind owner was also very delicious.

A year ago, due to heavy rain, we had to cancel our stay. Amid the lingering summer heat, we revisited after a year. This time, we had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful accommodation for one day. Renting an entire house with a view of Nara's mountains as the backdrop to the dry landscape garden, enjoying an evening beer was the perfect way to conclude summer. For dinner, there was a variety of alcoholic beverages available, and the shabu-shabu by the hearth was absolutely delicious. At night, gazing at a sky full of stars marked the end of our day. Knowing that this accommodation is run by your family made it feel very warm and welcoming during our stay. It was such happiness to spend a day doing nothing but relaxing peacefully— a truly special experience at Sasayuri-an. Thank you so much! We will definitely return again!

The view from the window as soon as we opened the front door was absolutely stunning! We enjoyed a relaxing time with the morning scenery and a peaceful walk by the sea. The atmosphere of the Room and furniture perfectly matched our taste, making it an unforgettable trip. W

I have experienced almost all luxury vacations in Japan, but the support here is undoubtedly the best in the country. We ended up staying on a day when a severe cold wave hit, and upon mentioning the cold, they immediately went out to purchase and set up a heater for us. Despite being a large facility, it was impeccably clean with no complaints about cleanliness. Even though it was a vacation stay, their thorough support allowed us to feel at ease during our accommodation. In contrast to another nearby new facility called N ○○tami where even the main power for the sauna wasn’t turned on and inquiries were poorly handled—making it impossible to use the sauna—this place responded promptly to everything we needed. The staff quality here is comparable to that of butlers at The Ritz Hotel. It’s clear that the owner is very competent. The location is also wonderful and provided an excellent change of pace. Thank you so much! On particularly cold days, having heaters in each room would be even better; however, during daytime hours, sunlight streamed in beautifully and kept us warm enough.

I have stayed at NIPPONIA in other locations before, but we chose this Accommodation because it is close to Chichibugahama Beach. It seems well suited for longer stays, with a spacious kitchen that was very easy to use. The two-story maisonette layout also provided plenty of privacy; the three of us stayed as a family and each of us could relax at our own pace. We could walk to Chichibugahama Beach, and although it was extremely hot, we enjoyed morning and evening walks. Since dining options are a bit far away, it was slightly inconvenient without a car. It might be nice if in-Room dining were available as an option as well. This time we also ordered an optional cake, and they kindly consulted with us from the planning stage, making it a wonderful birthday and trip with great memories. I would love to come back and take it easy again in another season.

Smooth handling of a same-day online reservation. The facility near Lake Biwa was clean and well-maintained, allowing for a pleasant stay. After a long journey by land from Kyushu, I was able to relax and feel rejuvenated at the accommodation. Thank you very much.

My family visiting from overseas stayed here. As soon as they arrived at Tenku, they were impressed by the beautiful views, and they were also happy that the outdoor bath has a water heater, making it easy to use. Although the building isn’t very large, they were impressed by how comfortable and well designed it is. However, the bathroom felt quite small. They were surprised by the small bathroom, but throughout their stay they kept saying, “We want to come again.”

Aoki Ryokan is a charming blend of Western and Japanese styles, with its blue roof and distinctive design—an Accommodation that gave me a great feeling even before I stepped inside. Fresh flowers were casually arranged throughout, the floors were spotless, and everything was impeccably clean. Perhaps because it is an old Ryokan, the atmosphere felt wonderfully balanced and calm. I usually suffer from insomnia when staying away from home, but here I felt completely at ease and slept very deeply—something that surprised even me. I also enjoyed listening to the proprietress’s stories (including one about Kunio Inatani, a pioneer of skiing in Japan) and savoring meals filled with mountain vegetables. It was truly relaxing both physically and mentally. As this is a historic Ryokan, old tools once used are also displayed; I was especially struck by the large saw used to cut ice from Lake Onuma, which made me imagine how demanding that work must have been at the time. Thanks to the kind owner, we had a wonderful stay. It’s easy to see why so many guests return. For this price, it was amazing that dinner included sashimi, simmered fish, and a platter of fried dishes. The coffee at breakfast was also delicious. The building is old, but it was very well cleaned, so it didn’t bother us. The hot water was excellent as well. We’d love to stay here again next time.

I made a reservation to celebrate my husband's birthday. It happened to be the day of the fireworks festival. The spacious area was comfortable, and we created unforgettable memories with our family. This is a place we would love to visit again as a family. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful experience.

As soon as we stepped inside, we were amazed by the gorgeous interior and how much closer the ocean was than we had imagined. The ocean view was truly breathtaking—an experience you don’t often get. The welcome drinks at check-in came in many varieties, which made it feel special and was perfect hospitality on a hot day. Both dinner and breakfast were prepared at the time we requested, so we could relax. For dinner, the BBQ included local meats, seafood, vegetables, and more, with explanations provided for each item. It was our first time using this type of grill, but the staff kindly showed us how to use it, so even beginners could grill everything deliciously with confidence. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and we were very satisfied with dinner. We usually have to prepare everything ourselves for a BBQ (including cleanup), so it was great that the Hotel took care of everything. After dinner, we enjoyed coffee while watching the sunset. Three types of coffee beans and an electric grinder were provided, along with instructions on how to use the grinder and recommended grind sizes—so we could enjoy freshly brewed coffee and spend a truly special time. There was a jacuzzi on the terrace bath area, and our kids were thrilled since it was their first time. The amenities for children included cute dolphin toothbrushes and sponges, which they loved. For adults, there were ReFa shower heads as well as a hair dryer, hair iron/curling iron tools? , hair oil? etc., leaving our hair smoother than usual—we were delighted. The croissants and roast beef at breakfast were also delicious. We would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed in the Luxury Suite as a family of four. The Ryokan slippers were a bit hard and uncomfortable to wear. Other than the distance and cold walk from the Room to the large public bath, everything was excellent. The rental yukata and hair accessories were lovely. On snowy days, we recommend avoiding the Yamanami Highway. We are grateful for the front desk's kind advice on the best route home.

Everything—the Room, the bath, and the meals—was excellent, but above all, the staff were truly outstanding. Even though we caused you trouble with changes to the Shuttle Service pickup location due to our circumstances and issues such as a locker malfunction in the bath area, you responded with great kindness. My daughter and I kept saying how glad we were that we stayed here. Thank you very much. We expect to visit the island several more times in the future, so we will continue to stay at your Accommodation.

They kindly accommodated our last-minute request for a pickup. We enjoyed dinner in a calm private room. The seafood dishes were exceptionally fresh, served with restaurant-quality tableware and presentation. The entire property was spotless, and it was clear that the hostess and staff clean thoroughly without cutting corners. This well-reviewed Accommodation was warm, clean, and great value for money, so I highly recommend it. The cake was delicious as well. It made us want to visit again. Thank you very much.

The Facility is old, but the staff are kind and you can have a comfortable stay. The view from the dining hall is amazing! Dinner at 18:00, breakfast at 8:00. They also lent us a fishing rod, but the line was short—bringing your own rod is a must. You can borrow a bucket too, but there’s no rope, so you can’t scoop up water?! (lol) The nearby tackle shop closes at 16:00, so be sure to get bait in advance. Chokujinja Shrine is close by and has an excellent location, so I recommend it.
