We stayed here for a family trip. All of the staff were very welcoming, and we were truly impressed by the complimentary free-flow drinks service. The meals were just the right amount—not too much—and we enjoyed everything to the last bite. The sashimi in particular was outstanding! The Onsen water quality was excellent, and with the clear autumn weather that day, we felt completely refreshed in the open-air bath. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, but the only disappointment was the Wi‑Fi. The signal was extremely weak in the guest rooms, lobby, and all common areas, and it wasn’t usable in practice. Mobile reception was also poor in this location, so the weak Wi‑Fi felt like a serious issue; I regret that I couldn’t get my work done during our stay. Other than that, we were very satisfied with the service, food, and baths, and we hope the Wi‑Fi will be improved. Thank you very much.

I’d been wanting to stay here someday, and it was a truly wonderful Room. The lighting had motion sensors, the facilities were barrier-free, and both loungewear and sleepwear (pajamas) were provided, making it very comfortable to spend time here. It was also nice to enjoy French cuisine again after a long time—it was delicious. If I had to mention a couple of points, it was sometimes hard to catch the staff’s explanations (in Japanese), and since the large public bath was set to 40°C, it felt a bit lukewarm; I wished the temperatures of the open-air bath and indoor bath could be adjusted separately. (It may be a healthy temperature setting.)

We stayed as a family of four. As we were traveling with my elderly mother who has difficulty walking, the hotel kindly lent us a wheelchair. Everyone was very considerate and helpful. We wanted beds rather than futons, but many hotels only offer up to three beds per room, so we were debating booking two rooms or choosing a Japanese-Western style room where someone would sleep on a futon. This hotel had a four-bed room, which was a key reason we chose it. Before entering the room, I worried it might be cramped with the beds pushed together, but it was actually very spacious and impressively clean. The view from the room was also wonderful, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The building does feel a bit old, but considering the reasonable price, we felt it offered excellent value for money. The buffet meals were delicious with plenty of variety—especially the grilled seafood (hamayaki) and the DIY seafood rice bowl (kaisendon), which were outstanding. I would like to give full marks overall; however, there were some steps in certain areas that made it not fully barrier-free. The bathroom floor was slippery in places, there was only one handrail in the bath area, and when the men’s and women’s baths switched between night and morning, there were differences in amenities—having the same amenities available in both would have been better. For these reasons, I deducted some points. Overall, we were satisfied and would recommend this hotel to others.

My husband said it was the best, to put it modestly. We watched both the sunset and the sunrise for a long time. Since we can’t eat a lot, it was great that there’s a restaurant where you can order à la carte instead of having to choose the set dinner. The amenities were also well stocked. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again.

The food was delicious, the free drinks were great, and we could watch the fireworks right in front of us—it was amazing. Thank you very much. If we have another opportunity, we would definitely like to stay again.

The Room was spacious, so we could relax and enjoy a luxurious day!! The outdoor BBQ was also wonderful!! We were also able to visit a nearby Onsen, which was great. Since there weren’t many people, we could take our time and unwind. We’d love to come again.

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. When I told you I can’t eat raw fish, thank you for preparing alternative dishes. The food looked great and tasted wonderful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary extra dish. The bath warmed me up so well that I stayed warm for a long time afterward. The detox water after the bath was also delicious. It was great to be offered a draft beer as a welcome drink at check-in—it was the perfect refreshing drink after a long drive. This was our second stay at Kamenoi Hotel Hikone. Just like last time, the staff were wonderful and the meals were delicious, so we chose to stay here again without hesitation. This time I was traveling with my 88-year-old mother. During dinner, she said the chair backrest hurt her bones, so I asked a staff member if we could borrow a cushion. They immediately brought us a large cushion, and after that my mother was able to comfortably enjoy about an hour and a half of dining. The dishes were served one after another at just the right timing while still warm, and everything was very delicious. The next morning, when we went to the Room for breakfast and gave our room number, I was surprised to see that last night’s cushion had already been placed on the chair backrest—it truly moved me. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with gratitude for the staff’s thoughtful care. Thank you very much.

Thank you for welcoming us with such warm hospitality! We booked a Room with an open-air bath, and it felt more open than we expected, which made us a bit nervous, so we used it early in the morning and at night when it seemed like no one would be around. The meals were also delicious, and we were very satisfied! We ate so much we could barely move.

I stayed for two nights. Overall it was good, but I was disappointed that the in-room slippers were so thin they tore easily (though I was given a new pair). Also, I was on the 8th floor, and it was inconvenient to go down to the 4th floor first and then take a different elevator up to the 18th floor to use the bath. It was excellent. The morning after my stay, I had booked marine activities early, so I couldn’t take my time enjoying breakfast, which was truly disappointing and is my only regret. I don’t usually write Reviews like this, but it was so wonderful that I wanted to share. First, even the standard Room is spacious enough. Above all, the meals were incredibly delicious. The rice was the best I’ve ever had. The sweetness, firmness, and stickiness were all perfect—although I usually eat just one bowl, I ended up having three. There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything—from the sashimi to the Sangenton pork—was so good it left me impressed. Unfortunately it rained on the first day, but thanks to how great this Accommodation was, it still became an amazing trip. This is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

We stayed here on our way to Osaka, and the lakefront was just a short walk away—our grandchildren were happier than we expected. The adults were also satisfied because the meals were delicious. However, there were only a few washing stations in the large public bath, and we were surprised to see so many people waiting. Perhaps it was because there were many families during summer vacation. It was not something we often see elsewhere.

This was our first stay—my son’s family of five and I. The room was very spacious with high ceilings, so the grandchildren were thrilled and ran around happily.
