Through the large windows, Umeda’s night skyline spread out before me in full. Simply taking in the view felt like pure luxury. The club lounge also exceeded my expectations. I could relax in a calm atmosphere, and the staff were consistently thoughtful and attentive. The view from the window seats was wonderful as well—I lost track of time while unwinding there. The drinks and light bites were high quality, making this an excellent choice for anyone who wants to truly enjoy their Hotel stay. Most memorable of all was breakfast. The Japanese set included soft-shelled turtle rice porridge (suppon zosui), which was surprisingly delicious and made for an indulgent start to the day. The refined, deeply flavorful broth soaked into me with every sip, bringing happiness with each bite. There was none of the gaminess often associated with suppon—just a gentle taste at a level that hardly seemed like breakfast food. Every side dish was carefully prepared too, leaving me completely satisfied. From the room and night views to the club lounge, breakfast, and staff service—everything met an impressively high standard. It’s a Hotel that made me think, “I will definitely stay here again.” For anyone seeking a special stay in Osaka’s Umeda area, I can confidently recommend it. When I visit Osaka next time, I would absolutely choose the club floor again—it was a wonderful Hotel stay that let me fully enjoy an extraordinary escape from everyday life.

Enjoy the scenery with the Shuttle Service to the station. From the Room, an ocean view stretches out over a beach where you can swim, and in the distance you can see the silhouette of Mt. Fuji. The large public bath is a comfortable size, clean and well maintained, and the open-air bath also has a waterfall shower and a sauna room. Dinner lifted our spirits with a treasure-boat sashimi platter, and there were so many thoughtfully prepared, easy-to-eat dishes that we couldn’t finish them all. The simmered arame seaweed at breakfast was especially popular; we enjoyed coffee in the lobby lounge where carp swim to start the day. Seeing how hard everyone at this Hotel is working to train young international staff gave us a pleasant sense of an open-hearted future. It became a Hotel we want to stay at again.

A historic Ryokan towering along the Chikugo River. We stayed in a scenic 9th-floor Room and enjoyed both the open-air bath and indoor bath in the large public bath! Dinner portions were on the smaller side, but the breakfast buffet offered excellent variety and quality—we were very satisfied. This time I booked a luxurious spa Plan, so it was pricey, but it was absolutely worth the cost. The cuisine, spa, Onsen, Room Facilities, and service were all top-tier. As expected from HIRAMATSU, every dish was delicious. The dish made with the spiny lobster head felt a bit heavy for me, but everything else was perfect. The spiny lobster bisque at breakfast was outstanding. The bread and butter at both dinner and breakfast were also excellent. The spa was wonderful—comparable to the Mandarin Hotel’s spa. The Onsen and Room Facilities were also superb; there is nothing to complain about. Service from the manager, head chef, staff, and spa team was flawless. I’d like to return next year during abalone season. I recommend avoiding weekends at the end of March. That’s when F1 Japanese Grand Prix qualifying and the race are held at Suzuka, so Nagoya Station gets extremely crowded and nearby roads are heavily congested. On top of that, Ise Jingu Naiku Shrine was also packed due to a yokozuna dedication sumo event—but I consider it a good experience overall.
